Why does the WPML editor show one translation, but a completely different one appears on the page?

Thanks for your reply. This issue typically occurs when WPML is unable to detect the module where the translation should appear. You can resolve it by adding the proper custom XML configuration. The steps are explained here: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/language-configuration-files/how-to-register-page-builder-widgets-for-translation/

Could you share the URL of the page in question along with some screenshots from the backend?

Am I correct in understanding that your translation isn't displayed on a website that uses Divi Builder?

Thanks for your reply. Divi builder is fully compatible with WPML as mentioned here https://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/divi-builder/ . Most probably soem misconfiguration on your end.

I will need to closely examine your website. Therefore, I will require temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to a test site where the problem has been replicated, if possible. This will enable me to provide better assistance and determine if any configurations need to be modified.

Please note that it is important to have a backup for security purposes and to prevent any potential data loss. You can use the UpdraftPlus plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) to fulfill your backup requirements.

Your upcoming reply will be treated with confidentiality and will only be visible to you and me.

✙ To resolve the issue, I may need your consent to deactivate and reactivate plugins and the theme, as well as make configuration changes on the site if necessary. This emphasizes the significance of having a backup.

Then we'll add new plugins. Will everything break again? And will we have to grant access again?

Thanks for your reply. May I know what plugins are you trying to install on your Website?

When I posted a reply, I received the following error: "Error: Are you sure you wanted to do that?"

Why is this error appearing? Have you limited my account?

We already have the following installed:

- Divi Themes (includes Divi Builder)
- SureMembers
- JetPack
- WPML

That's all for now. We plan to install SEO plugins later.

The site is currently under development. However, after the site launches, some issue might arise, and your support team might request access again and break something. Then, the work of our entire team would be ruined by your support team.

Since we're working on a site with sensitive information, it's strategically dangerous for us to have to grant access to third parties (outside of our team).

Is it possible to resolve this issue, and any future ones, without granting access to your support team?

Listen, let's try this...

For example:

1. I re-translated the page automatically;
2. I opened the re-translated page in the WPML editor and saw that 90% of the new translations (marked in blue) were visible;
3. I added a line break and clicked "Save";
4. The page was saved and I was redirected to the "Pages" page;
5. I opened the page where I just added the line break, but I didn't see any translations;
6. I reopened the WPML editor and saw that 90% of the new translations (marked in blue) and the line break I added were still visible in the WPML editor.

After a while, an "Updating Page Translation" icon appeared next to the page. I clicked this icon, and the WPML editor opened, showing 100% of the new translations marked in green. I save the page and the new translation appears.

Question: How can I make sure the "Page Translation Update" icon appears in a controlled manner, rather than randomly? What setting should I set or where should I click to make this happen?

Addition: Now I tried manual translation through the WPML editor and found that the translation is not displayed exactly as I described above.

One more thing:

1. I automatically translated the page;
2. I previewed the translated page and found no problems;
3. But when I went into the WPML editor to edit the translation a bit, the WPML editor warned me that I had 77 drafts and some kind of translation error.

But that's NONSENSE!!! After all, I decide whether the translation is suitable for me.

Furthermore, when I tried to figure out what the error was and where the 77 draft lines came from, I couldn't figure out where they came from or how to remove them.

Because of this, the WPML editor won't let me save this page.

After all, I'm completely satisfied with the way the translation looks on the page. Therefore, I'm not going to fix the problems created by the WPML editor.

How can I avoid these warnings so I can edit and save pages?

All this complexity is unnecessary! I just need the translation. Can we figure it out ourselves whether we are happy with it or not?

Thanks for your reply. Could you please share a screenshot of the translation error that you're getting? I'd like to understand a little bit more about the issue that you're facing since I'm not allowed to check the backend of the site.

In the WPML editor: The error is a missing translation. Plus, there are 77 drafts pending (also untranslated).

When I click the "Translate automatically" button, the process starts, credits are deducted, but the translation doesn't appear (I've already wasted over 100,000 credits).

So how do I fix all this?

I found in the Translation Control Panel that this page needed additional translation. I selected it, WPML completed the translation, but it charged me for the entire file, which is over 37,000 credits. What the hell is going on? Because of these additional translations, I've already spent over 130,000 credits. I demand a refund!

I translated the images. I added them to the translated images section in the "Media Translation" section. I selected "Scan and Replace." The scan completed, but the pages disappeared again. After returning a couple of pages, I discovered that the images were still showing old, untranslated ones. What should I do to get the translated images to show up again?
