Background of the issue:
I use Amazon Lightsail server and am using WPML well. My site has been using a lot of CPU capacity lately. Even when there are few visitors, such as early in the morning, CPU usage is high. It seems like the WPML plugin is causing increased CPU usage or there is an issue with MySQL CPU usage. I applied most of the things like updating plugins, clearing cache memory, disabling WPML plugin, enabling default theme etc but the problem did not go away. When I looked at the currently running data using the top command, I could see that it was excessively high. I previously saw a terminal command that reduces MySQL usage in WPML-related documentation, but I can't find it.

Symptoms:
High CPU usage on the server, potentially related to WPML or MySQL.

Questions:
How can I solve the high CPU usage problem related to WPML or MySQL?

Hello,

To be of better help, can you please provide your WPML Debug information in the debug field below? http://wpml.org/faq/provide-debug-information-faster-support/

You mentioned that deactivating WPML did not resolve this issue. Typically if WPML is causing performance issues deactivating should resolve it.

-- Are you using the feature "translatable use translation if available or fallback to default language " ?

https://wpml.org/errata/increase-in-duplicate-queries-when-pages-are-using-translation-if-available-or-fallback-to-default-language/

-- Try disabling the setting to "Adjust IDs for multilingual functionality" at WPML > Languages > Make themes work multilingual. Recommended themes should not need this setting.

-- Consider using this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/index-wp-mysql-for-speed/

Let me know your results, please.

Hello!

"translatable use translation if available or fallback to default language" is not in use and is only being translated. I turned off "Adjust IDs for multilingual functionality", but CPU usage is still excessively high.

I have attached debug information. What can I do? help..

Thank you for the update!

Could you confirm whether the increase in CPU utilization is directly caused by WPML? What happens to the CPU usage when WPML is deactivated? This information will help us determine the next steps.
