New
- WCML is now built into WPML’s redesigned navigation. When WPML 5.0 and WCML are both active, the WCML screens — Multicurrency, Multilingual, Store URLs, Troubleshooting and WCML Status — are rendered inside the new WPML menu instead of under their own top-level entry. The old WCML URLs still work and redirect to their new location, so existing bookmarks and links in documentation keep working.
Fixes
- Fixed translated product category and tag archive URLs using the default-language slug after automatic translation, which produced a 404. Taxonomy slug translation is now activated as part of WCML’s URL setup, so no manual re-save of the Taxonomies Translation table is needed. Existing sites are corrected automatically on upgrade.
Maintenance
- Removed obsolete upgrade routines and admin notices targeting WCML versions older than 2.9.9.1 and a 2018 exchange-rate service change. Internal cleanup only — nothing to reconfigure.
Update or Download
The update is available for all WPML clients with an active subscription. It appears on the Plugins page in your WordPress admin within 24 hours after release.
To update right away:
- Go to Plugins → Add New Plugin and click the Commercial tab
- Click the Check for updates button
- Select the plugin from the list (you'll see the new version number) and click Install
To download and install manually, visit your wpml.org account and go to Downloads. Check the detailed instructions if needed. Update all necessary components together and don't mix versions.
