You can solve broken table error messages by bringing the issue to our support team.<\/p>\n

There are two error messages you might see if WPML has a broken table that needs to be fixed in the database:<\/p>\n

  1. "There is a problem with the String Translation table in your site."<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. "We have detected a problem with some tables in the database."<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    How can I solve the \u201cThere is a problem with the String Translation table in your site\u201d error?<\/h2>\n

    If you see this message, please back up your site and create a new ticket in our forum<\/a> for our support team to investigate further.<\/p>\n

    The full error message reads:<\/p>\n

    There is a problem with the String Translation table in your site. This problem is not causing a problem running the site right now, but can become a critical issue in the future. WPML support team knows how to fix it. Please add a message in the relevant support thread and we'll fix it for you.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

    This message appears when a column or index is missing from the icl_strings<\/strong> table in your database. Our support team can assist you with identifying and regenerating the missing information.<\/p>\n

    How can I solve the \u201cWe have detected a problem with some tables in the database\u201d error?<\/h2>\n

    In most cases, the issue causing the message resolves itself, but the notification remains. You can simply close the error message.<\/p>\n

    The full error message reads:<\/p>\n

    We have detected a problem with some tables in the database. Please contact WPML support to get this fixed.<\/p>\n

    If you can't dismiss the message, you can remove the wpml_notices<\/code> key from the option<\/code> table in your database (by default, this table is called wp_options<\/code>, but wp_<\/code> will be your database's prefix).<\/p>\n
