Problem: The client is unable to find a specific hardcoded string from a plugin in the WPML String Translation list to translate it. Solution: 1. We recommend enabling the option "Look for strings while pages are rendered" found at the bottom of the WPML > String Translation page. After checking this option, visit the front-end page where the string appears, then return to WPML > String Translation to search for the string again.
3. If the string is not internationalized, refer to the WordPress internationalization guidelines to properly format the string within the plugin's code. Use the
__( 'text', 'text-domain' )
format and ensure a text domain is specified. After making changes, re-scan the theme or plugin: Scanning the theme and plugins.
