Problem: The client has a website with thousands of WooCommerce products that were duplicated in other languages rather than being translated. The client is considering using prepaid credits for automatic translation and is unsure about the workflow for translating existing product duplicates. Solution: If you're experiencing a similar situation, we recommend going to WPML > Translation Management, selecting all the products you wish to translate, and choosing "Get Translations" from the menu. When you do this, WPML will detect that there are existing duplicates and will prompt you to confirm if you want to overwrite the existing content with the new translations. There is no need to delete the duplicate pages before starting the automatic translation process.

Problem:
Client is unable to translate the links in the "Teaser Box" from the "Total Theme" using WPML. The links in the teaser boxes are not pointing to the translated FR pages but instead to the original EN language pages.
Solution:
First, we registered the
vcex_teaser
shortcode in WPML by adding custom XML configuration. Here is the XML code to add:
After adding this code, the URLs for the teaser box in the default language became available for translation in the Advanced Translation Editor (ATE) and String Translation (ST). To translate URLs in ATE, you can search for "https" and replace it with the translated version of the URL.
Additionally, to ensure the module is registered for translation, follow these steps:
1. Open the original page with the module on the front-end to trigger module registration.
2. Update the original page with a minor change and save it. This will update the translation and add the new module to the Translation Management.
After these steps, you should be able to search for URLs in ATE and translate them accordingly.
Problem:
I'm facing a problem with Elementor Pro Gallery, that doesn't translate images Titles.
Solution:
As I suspected previously, these values cannot be translated with an Elementor config. The title is obtained by the attachment translation title.
To fix this (as I did on the staging site, also in the Sandbox):
- please install and enable Media Translation (from Plugins -> Add New -> Commercial tab, or here https://wpml.org/account/downloads/)
- change the title for the second language
- run the search-translate process when it appears in the WPML > Media Translation on the top of the page there. This should replace the title.
