Hi everyone and happy holidays!
We have released around a week ago WPML 3.6.2 which fixes all known issues that we have had reported for WPML 3.6, this version of WPML had added a significant improvement to the language switcher. 99% of the sites run by our clients have had no issues, but we did discover some edge cases that are mostly fixed with these erratas:
- The menu language switcher is missing on the front-end with some themes and plugins
- Language Switcher widget in Toolset Layouts might not be rendered
We also know that in a few cases some CSS modifications need to be done. Because these are harder to group in one fix solution we have created a thread on how to debug and fix language switcher CSS issues. Please read it before you report an issue, it’s usually quite straightforward.
We will continue releasing beta versions with fixes for coming reports during the holidays but no new stable versions are coming while most of us are celebrating. We don’t want your sites to auto-update when you’re away.
Final words about what to expect from support during the holidays. We will continue to reply as fast as we can for any issues that you find and report. WPML support is going on vacation in turns, so we’re in lower capacity than normal. We hope that you’re taking some time off too. We will close the German support forum from the 31st of December until the 7th of January, so please report issues in the English forum.
