Today, we released the first WPML 4.4.7 beta, which is fully PHP 8 ready and will continue to be updated as WordPress proceeds with their 5.6 development.<\/p>\n\n\n

WordPress 5.6<\/a> is a highly anticipated release that includes many new features, including support for PHP 8. PHP 8<\/a> offers great overall improvements, but it’s a sensitive upgrade that introduces breaking changes for most plugins, themes, and web hosts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are currently using a WordPress 5.6 beta on a development site, please update to the WPML 4.4.7 beta<\/strong> to prevent these breaking changes with WPML. Clients who are not using a WordPress 5.6 beta do not need to update.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remember: the breaking changes introduced with PHP 8 will affect almost every plugin and theme<\/strong>. So, if you\u2019re trying out PHP 8, you should check the compatibility of your theme and all the plugins that you use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
