I have a page that is still under development where you can currently navigate in two languages, Spanish and English. I am trying to translate some text strings into English, but the changes are not being applied to the English version of the page.
The page URL is: hidden link
Using String Translation, I have entered the translations for the corresponding strings, but the changes are not being applied.
I expected to see:
Customer area
Collaborators area
Breaking Language Barriers for a Connected World
Whistleblower Channel
However, they were not updated, and I see the original translation.
Thank you for contacting WPML Support, I will gladly help you.
To expedite handling your support requests, can you please share WPML support debug information from your site?
* To provide the debug information:
- Login to your site and go to WPML -> Support, in there click on the “debug information” link at the bottom of the page.
- Once on the “debug information” page, select the entire text box content and copy it.
- Go back to our support forum, find the debug information box, and paste it.
I noticed that all the strings you need to translate are on the footer section of the website, could you please tell me if you are using any page builder (like Elementor or similar), or a theme option to create that section?
I cannot provide the debug information because it indicates that the information is invalid. Just in case, I have checked for spaces at the beginning and end, and there were none.
As for your question, the answer is yes, we use Elementor to build our page and those texts are created with that plugin.
For now, we have 'translated' the header and footer manually from Appearance > Menus.
But the problem persists; if we add text strings to a basket to send them to a translator, and they return the translated strings, it can be observed in 'String Translation' that the changes have been applied. However, in the English version of our website, these segments are not updated unless we do it manually from Appearance > Menus.
I will be awaiting your response.
Thank you, regards.
I would need temporary access to your site's WP-admin to investigate this issue and understand it better, please create a temporary administrator user using any email address you prefer.
Please fully back up your site (files and database) and confirm it in your next reply.
Your next reply is set to private for you to provide the username and password details.
There might be some restriction from the hosting company as when I try to open the login link, I get redirected to this URL: hidden link..... (where the notification appears, as in the image I shared before).
I've just been informed that we are going through a DNS migration, and at the moment, access has been temporarily revoked for everyone. Once the website is live, we can proceed with our investigation.
I've spoken with our hosting service. What they can do is disable the security option for a few hours. I would need you to specify the times you'll be accessing our WordPress to disable that option temporarily.
By the way, the link has been changed to /login-wp-linguawss/ at the end.
