This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
When accessing the Advanced Translation Editor (ATE) to translate pages, it automatically translates them even though it was set not to. Additionally, the version of ATE that opens is random, sometimes the old version and other times the new one.
Solution:
First, we recommend creating a short screencast to illustrate the issue as it helps in diagnosing the problem more accurately. Next, please temporarily deactivate all plugins except WPML on your dashboard. This step is crucial to ensure that no other plugin is affecting this behavior. We have also recently updated ATE, which might have resolved the issue if it was related to the version updates.
If the problem persists, it might be due to reasons that are no longer relevant or because the situation described doesn't apply to your case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If none of these solutions work, please open a new support ticket.
