Hello There,
Thanks for contacting WPML Support. Sorry for the delay in responding due to the weekend.
To reduce the waiting time, I took this ticket and responded in English. Please let me know if you're okay with it or if you want to continue the conversation in Spanish language. I will check and forward this ticket to one of our Spanish-speaking supporters to assist you in the Spanish language.
I understand the issue you're facing. This often happens when the site is unable to connect to the Translation Editor, not due to plugin conflict. In some cases, the problem arises due to incorrect profile configuration, particularly with the First Name, Last Name, and Display Name fields. Could you please try the following steps to see if it resolves the issue?
- From your WordPress dashboard, go to "Users > Profile".
- Ensure that both the First Name and Last Name fields are filled in correctly. Then, make sure you’ve selected an option from the "Display name publicly as" dropdown.
- After verifying the profile setup, go to "WPML > Support > Troubleshooting".
- Click the following buttons:
-- Clear the cache in WPML
-- Fix WPML tables collation
-- Synchronize local job IDs with ATE jobs
-- Synchronize translators and translation managers with ATE
-- Set language information
-- Fix post type assignment for translations
- After completing these steps, clear your site and browser caches, then check if you can translate using the ATE.
If the issue persists even after that, please go to "WPML > Support → Advanced Translation Editor ↳ Error logs", capture a screenshot of the full page and share that in the next response. Please make sure that the latest errors and all the columns are visible in the screenshot. I'll check and let you know what to do next.
Let me know the update. I'll be happy to help if you need further assistance in this matter.
From the ATE Error log, I noticed an authentication error, which indicates that your site is unable to connect to the ATE server. This is why the Translation Editor isn't working. Please navigate to "WPML > Support > Installer Support" and click the "Check Now" button. If the connection status is successful, you should see a green checkmark. You can then verify if the ATE is functioning properly afterward.
If the issue persists even after that please check the following steps:
1- Go to your database manager, for example, PhpMyAdmin
2- Go to the "wp_options" table, then edit the SQL and run the following query
SELECT * FROM `wp_options` WHERE option_name='WPML_TM_AMS';
3- Delete the 'WPML_TM_AMS' key
4- Go to WPML-> Settings, and select translate some
5- Resave the Translation Editor section
6- Make a minor update to the default language page
7- Try to update the translation
❌ Please backup your database before the above steps ❌
Please give it a try and let me know how it goes. I'll be happy to help if you need further assistance in this matter.
