I’m afraid that what you need is not possible with WPML. With our plugin, you would need to set a base currency and set all the products on it. Then, WPML will convert the currency automatic or manually, depending on your settings.
However, one thing that may help could be restricting the currency per language. In that way, products will only display prices in EUR for some languages and GB for others.

Can WPML provide translation for only one subdirectory of my site. For example, hilltopmonitor.com is the main site and I also have hilltopmonitor.com/blogs. I want to translate only the blogs subdirectory and have the url read hilltopmonitor.com/es/blogs or blogs/es but not affect the base directory.

If you mean that you have two independent WordPress installations, sure, you can install WPML only in the /blogs/ directory and translate your blog.
However, if you have only one WordPress installation, you could set only your posts as translatable. But one possible issue is that the blog archive would need translation as well but it wouldn’t be possible with this setup.

Those translations once are processed, they are stored in the database. And finally, hreflang tags are automatically created as explained in this other link.

may I ask, I would like to use the option “A different domain per language”, but my question is, is it still possible to do this if I have the domains on one provider, and the hosting on another different one? Or can you use this option only if your domains and also hosting are under one single provider?
Basically its like this:
lenivakucharka.sk (main domain) – Provider 1
linakucharka.cz (different language) – Provider 1
hosting for lenivakucharka.sk – Provider 2
The hosting is important to be on 1 provider (or at least 1 cluster of servers). The domain, provided that it is pointed correctly to the proper hosting, can be on any provider. You can also have different domain from ovh for example and link it again to the bluehost hosting. To sum up, the hosting should be one.
in example, you can have domain from ionos but your site can be hosted on a bluehost or on a Virtual Private Server for example
I am very sorry, but I didnt understand fully your reply, probably because I am not that technical, but is it correct that you said that the main domain and its hosting need to be on the same provider right? And the other language domain can be on whichever. So basically I would either have to move the main domain to be under the same company as its hosting, or move the hosting to be under the same provier as the main domain?

No, you don’t need to move your main domain to be under the same company as its hosting (or vice versa). This is not obligatory. However as we say in our documentation for setting up diffrent domains for languages, having hosting and the domain from the same company would simplify the configuration process:
If possible, get the hosting and the domain from the same company. This will simplify the process of setting up different settings.
To sum up, provided your have all your WordPress files on one server, you can have domains from different providers but as we recommend in the documentation (check 2. Configure the DNS settings)
If you bought the domain and hosting from different companies, simply ask them to send you detailed instructions.
We bought developer API access to DeepL and we are using the plugin “DeepL for WordPress” to make translations of sites and content.

You install WPML and it will work with DeepL out of the box, provided your site has enough translation credits. 1) Translate image alt texts – yes, in most of the cases you will see the alt texts in your translation editor when you translate the content the image belongs to. There might be some edge cases when your site uses a plugin/theme that is not compatible with WPML and you won’t see those alt texts. You can also install the WPML Media Translation plugin that is optional (only if you need diffrent images per languages) but this plugin also allows you to translate alternative texts.
2) Header and footer – yes, WPML allows you to translate the header and footer but the details depend on how your header and footer are built. For example, you will have no problems with translating the headers and footers from the most popular page builder and themes
3) SEO and meta title descriptions – yes, WPML is compatible with the most popular SEO plugins, for some you might need the WPML SEO glue plugin (available in the CMS package)
4) Fonts – I’m not sure how importing fonts is related to the translation process and I would need more details from you to understand this part of your questions
5) “Traditional Chinese manually uploaded” – do you mean, that you want to translate your site to traditional Chinese? And instead of using automatic translation you would like to manually enter (copy paste) your existing translations? If so, yes, this is also possible with WPML.
I find this highly disappointing. We pay 4,99€ per month for an unlimited number of characters to translate – my estimate is that your prices exceed that by the factor 5, to say the least. For a plugin that already costs 99$ I would have expected more (or less in this case).

You can use the Automatic Redirect Based on Browser Language feature but in practice you don’t need it because your multilingual site will receive organic traffic in the user’s language. You WPML site will be indexed by Google boots and when a user performs their Google search in their language, they will see the link to the page in their language (provided you translated the site to that language).
We have a French/English website that has been running what I presume is an agency license for several years now. I just recently purchased Event Tickets Plus with the objective of embedding ticket purchases in our website. The plug-in is installed and connected to Stripe. I did a test transaction and all looks and works great until the final click to pay. I get the message “No route was found matching the URL and request method.” Event Tickets Plus ran some tests and determined that there is a conflict with WPML which is preventing transactions from completing. Because our license is held by our original developer with whom we no longer work with, I cannot request support. I am going to have to purchase my own license. Is our problem with Stripe because we don’t have the CMS license? Our should I be able to set up the Event Tickets Plus plug-in with the Blog license?

The fact that you have or don’t have an active WPML license/subscription cannot impact your technical issues. The only correlation would be you using an outdated WPML version while the bug has been fixed in a newer version. The type of your WPML (WPML/Blog) can impact the plugin functionally especially if we say at wpml.org (either the plugin documentation or the list of compatible plugins) that the CMS package is required for plugin X. The Events calendar plugin requires the CMS type of package because you need the String Translation plugin which is not available in the Blog package.

We have a WooCommerce website with over 1800 products and variations, blogs, pictures, alt text, etc. The translations need to be SEO-optimized. We are currently using GTranslate. What will happen with the existing URLs in the languages (we have 21 languages as we operate worldwide)? Will the URL and structure be maintained by WPML and accordingly transferred resp. taken over or how does it work? What about the credits, because on GTranslate, the number of languages and words is not important; everything is covered without the need for additional purchases. How are the credits calculated, and which languages are supported?

Thank you for your interest in WPML.
We don’t support the migration process from GTranslate. This means, that WPML won’t see your translations coming from GTranslate and you will need to translated everything from scratch using WPML (or/and manually). You can also leave some of your pages untranslated. When you install WPML, WPML will maintain the URL structure of your posts/pages in your site’s primary language. This means the following: suppose your site’s main language (WordPress default language set in your WP settings) is English. All your existing posts and pages will be seen by WPML as originally posted in English and WPML will try to translate them from English to other languages. WPML won’t change the URLs of your existing posts/pages.

You can add other languages too but then you need to translate them manually.

What you are describing are technical questions applying to your specific website and these can be answered and checked by our technical supporters. I cannot do much here, in the pre-sales section. I can only confirm that this is expected that your translated product has a diffrent id. The SKU field is copied between languages and you cannot translate it but you need set up properly the plugins in order to make it work and you need to use the recent versions of WPML plugin. I can see that your site uses a very old version of WPML (4.2.7, released in June 2019) while the most recent version is 4.6.10. To receive proper help you would need to:
1. Buy WPML
2. Use our support forum to describe your issue
3. Update the plugins on your site (this I would recommend checking on a copy first because the version you use is 5 years old and you might need to gradually update the plugins – our support team can provide details).

Thank you for your interest in WPML.
We don’t support the migration process from GTranslate. This means, that WPML won’t see your translations coming from GTranslate and you will need to translated everything from scratch using WPML (or/and manually). You can also leave some of your pages untranslated. When you install WPML, WPML will maintain the URL structure of your posts/pages in your site’s primary language. This means the following: suppose your site’s main language (WordPress default language set in your WP settings) is English. All your existing posts and pages will be seen by WPML as originally posted in English and WPML will try to translate them from English to other languages. WPML won’t change the URLs of your existing posts/pages.

You can add other languages too but then you need to translate them manually.

hi, i am having a problem with translated variant of product- i cannot add the same SKU as for main language version.(“invalid sku or duplicated’)
What’s more i see that my translated version has another product ID than the original version. Is it correct?
Both issues are problematic- cannot link my e-commerce to the Baselinker to manage the shop well.
Any possibility to solve my issue with your additional plug-ins/services etc?

What you are describing are technical questions applying to your specific website and these can be answered and checked by our technical supporters. I cannot do much here, in the pre-sales section. I can only confirm that this is expected that your translated product has a diffrent id. The SKU field is copied between languages and you cannot translate it but you need set up properly the plugins in order to make it work and you need to use the recent versions of WPML plugin. I can see that your site uses a very old version of WPML (4.2.7, released in June 2019) while the most recent version is 4.6.10. To receive proper help you would need to:
1. Buy WPML
2. Use our support forum to describe your issue
3. Update the plugins on your site (this I would recommend checking on a copy first because the version you use is 5 years old and you might need to gradually update the plugins – our support team can provide details).

I don’t understand your question I’m afraid.
If you are asking about supported payment methods when buying the WPML subscription, we support payment cards (Stripe service) and PayPal.
If you are asking about WPML supporting payments for your website, it depends on the plugins you use. WPML works with WooCommerce and supports many popular payment-related plugins, when you visit this page and scroll it down you will see many WooCommerce-related plugins that are compatible with WPML.
