  1. HI i want a plug in that will allow me to set a base cost currency in for iindividual products – some in Euros most in GB pounds and then for the EUro priced products in teh back end to convert the euros and show in GB Pouind at front end .Will your plug in go this . ? I am having problems with another plug in I have puchased but it is not working . I am looking at other options ?

    • Hello Steve,
I’m afraid that what you need is not possible with WPML. With our plugin, you would need to set a base currency and set all the products on it. Then, WPML will convert the currency automatic or manually, depending on your settings.
However, one thing that may help could be restricting the currency per language. In that way, products will only display prices in EUR for some languages and GB for others.
      I hope it helps,
      Andrés

  2. Can WPML provide translation for only one subdirectory of my site. For example, hilltopmonitor.com is the main site and I also have hilltopmonitor.com/blogs. I want to translate only the blogs subdirectory and have the url read hilltopmonitor.com/es/blogs or blogs/es but not affect the base directory.

    Thanks!

    • Hello Roger,
If you mean that you have two independent WordPress installations, sure, you can install WPML only in the /blogs/ directory and translate your blog.
However, if you have only one WordPress installation, you could set only your posts as translatable. But one possible issue is that the blog archive would need translation as well but it wouldn’t be possible with this setup.
      I hope it helps.

  3. Hello.
I would like to know whether Indian languages are supported in your translation.
Also can I use automatic translate using Google translate.
Where are the translated posts saved.
Also are href lang tags created automatically or do I need to manually create them.

    • Hello Palla,
In this link, you can find all the languages supported by our Automatic Translation tool and one of the engines that we use is Google translate. Those translations once are processed, they are stored in the database. And finally, hreflang tags are automatically created as explained in this other link.
      Regards

  4. Hello.

I want to purchase your plugin.
I will purchase as a company in Indonesia with a tax registered number.

I want to ask about the tax agreement and the tax invoice, how it works

    • Hello,
If you are on the WPML checkout page you will see 99 + 22.77 (23% VAT) = €121.77 for the Multilingual CMS package. Now, if you have entered your VAT number and the price hasn’t change and you still see €121.77 (total) instead of just €99.00, it means your VAT number is not taken into account. If you think it should be, you need to contact us via this form and explain your specific case. This page will help you see how your TAX invoice will look like.

  5. Good day

We are a non-profit organization from Ukraine. We are engaged in prosthetics for our military. I read that you can get a license for your product for free, is that true?
    Thank you

    • Hello,
      Good day to you too!
For non-profit organisations, we can offer a 50% discount for the first year and only after it your WPML renewals will be for free (for the next years). Please note this is for the plugin license (including plugin updates and support). To translate automatically you need to use translation credits. We offer 90 000 translation credits for free but when you run out of the credits, you will need to pay for the extra credits (please see the pricing here).
Of course you can always translate manually using WPML.
If you are interested in getting a license for a non-profit organisation, please apply here:

  6. Hi guys,

may I ask, I would like to use the option “A different domain per language”, but my question is, is it still possible to do this if I have the domains on one provider, and the hosting on another different one? Or can you use this option only if your domains and also hosting are under one single provider?

    Basically its like this:
    lenivakucharka.sk (main domain) – Provider 1
    linakucharka.cz (different language) – Provider 1
    hosting for lenivakucharka.sk – Provider 2

    thank you

    • The hosting is important to be on 1 provider (or at least 1 cluster of servers). The domain, provided that it is pointed correctly to the proper hosting, can be on any provider. You can also have different domain from ovh for example and link it again to the bluehost hosting. To sum up, the hosting should be one.

in example, you can have domain from ionos but your site can be hosted on a bluehost or on a Virtual Private Server for example

  7. Hi Agnes,

I am very sorry, but I didnt understand fully your reply, probably because I am not that technical, but is it correct that you said that the main domain and its hosting need to be on the same provider right? And the other language domain can be on whichever. So basically I would either have to move the main domain to be under the same company as its hosting, or move the hosting to be under the same provier as the main domain?

    thank you

    Peter

    • Hello Peter,
No, you don’t need to move your main domain to be under the same company as its hosting (or vice versa). This is not obligatory. However as we say in our documentation for setting up diffrent domains for languages, having hosting and the domain from the same company would simplify the configuration process:

If possible, get the hosting and the domain from the same company. This will simplify the process of setting up different settings.

To sum up, provided your have all your WordPress files on one server, you can have domains from different providers but as we recommend in the documentation (check 2. Configure the DNS settings)

If you bought the domain and hosting from different companies, simply ask them to send you detailed instructions.

  8. Hi,

We bought developer API access to DeepL and we are using the plugin “DeepL for WordPress” to make translations of sites and content.
Currently we are using Polylang as a translation plugin which works quite well together with “DeepL for WordPress”. Will “DeepL for WordPress” also work together with WPML?

  9. I’m looking to rebuild a site in WordPress with KadenceWP.com pagebuilder and also needs to meet WCAG2.1 gudelines

Please can you advise on the compatibility of WPML with:

    KadenceWP
    accessibility standards

    • Hello,
Yes, WPML is compatible with Kadence block: https://wpml.org/plugin/kadence-blocks/
In terms of WCAG2.1 guidelines, front-end wise, WPML only displays the content in diffrent languages so if your current site/theme meets WCAG2.1 guidelines, that should keep you covered. The only thing that WPML adds to your front0end is the language switcher. You can check some of the WPML websites from our clients from our showcase to check the languages switchers, for example: https://www.casinobankingmethods.com/ Also, you can modify the language switcher with your custom code and some hooks we provide to adjust it to your needs.
