    Thanks

    • Hi again,

our admins say that the PE101 error means it’s a problem with a credit card.
Maybe your card is not authorized for use in the internet.
Sometimes users also uses the browser back button.

We didn’t find any records in our system with your email. Please use this form:
      https://wpml.org/home/contact-us/contact-form/
to provide us more details about your order so we can identify you in our system.

  2. I want to use my site in spanish and english version but my theme is not multilingual but according to its docuentation it shows that WPML plugins can translate the custom fields and plugins in any language.I am using directory theme by templatic. I want to know can this plugin translate all the custom fields, plugin’s fields and any custom post in different language

  3. Invoice# [edited]- paid with credit card – order status says ‘pending’. When ordering – there was some sort of redirect that failed….

    • Hi gary,
yes, for now I can confirm that your transaction is in our WPML system with a pending status. We need to check if the payment was actually made.
You also have another subscription, a ‘Multilingual Blog’ one valid until September 19, 2016.

  4. Hello! We have already tried to make our site multilingual, and have found a few “loop-holes”, where users are redirected to pages in the wrong language.

    1. “LOGIN FAILED” Redirection
    2. “NO SEARCH RESULT FOUND” Redirection
    3. “URL NOT VALID / NO SUCH PAGE FOUND” Redirection

In all three cases above, we redirect to a specific page, where the client gets information on what to to. However, they are all redirected to pages in English.

Can your plugin help us doing the following:

    1. If you make an error logging in at login/eng – you get redirected to login_failed/eng
If you make the same error at login/swe – you are redirected to login_failed/swe

    2. You search our website for “hello” on any english page- and get a list of ENGLISH pages matching your search at /searchresults/
You search our website for “hello” on any SWEDISH page- you get all list of only Swedish pages matching you search at /searchresults/

    3. You are on a English page and writes an unvalid url in the address fields – you get redirected to /not-found/eng
If you are on a Swedish page and enter an unvalid url – you get redirected to
    /not-found/swe

This is what we are trying to achieve
We hope your plugin can help us with this – and thank you in advance for answering our questions
    Best regards / Erik

    • Hi Erik
1 – not possible. Currently WPML always redirects to the default language page.
2 – should work as you expect
3 – works as you expect (this is the 404 WP template – if the srtings used in that template are wrapped in gettext functions, you can easily translate them – with our without WPML)

  5. Hello I’d like to purchase WPML for our company but with the checkout even when entering the VAT number, the VAT is still charged. What to do?

  6. Hi there,

Not sure this is the right place, but basically my account has expired so i couldn’t open a new support thread. I just want my WPML account closed. How do i go about it?

    thanks

  7. I would like to put up a bi-lingual English Chinese site, but basically in English. It is about a Scenic Area in the mountains outside of Fuzhou China. My hope is that we can have pages in English, and also pages in Chinese. Some will be translations of one page, some will be unique to the language with no translation. I don’t need a site that has all the pages translated in both languages. This is not a commerce site, but a site of friends here, some US, some Chinese, who love the Scenic Area and want to share it. I am not a clever website developer, and only want to be able to do what I said above. What do you think? Is it easy to use in this way?

    • Hello,
yes, WPML allows you to translate only selected pages/posts. You don’t need to translate everything. If a page is not translated and a visitor clicks on the language switcher to change the site langue to Chinese they will be redirected to homepage.

If you want to configure WPML to be ready for translating posts and pages, you should be able to handle the setup yourself. It’s ueasy. In case you get stuck, don’t hesitate to contact our support forum.

  8. Hello, before buying I have only one question, if I buy the pluggin I can install it on every project I do with wordpress or will I have to buy one for each project?

    Thanks for the reply.

  9. I have a question. If we wish to build a site with 2 -or more languages, can we tie a wordpress user to one or more specific languages while restricting access to others? E.g. an English user only has access to the English language in the admin and so on.

    Best regards
    Tomas

  10. Hello,

I bought the Multilingual CMS and I would like to buy it for another website.
If I upgrade to Multilingual CMS for life, will I be able to use it on my other websites too ?
    Awaiting for your reply.

    Regards.

    • Hi, you can use WPML for all the sites you are building, doesn’t matter if this is the “multilingual CMS” or “Lifetime version” or the “Blog” version.

  11. If you are providing paypal payment – why are you forcing me to link a credit card with my paypal? Can’t I just pay with a paypal balance – like a normally do?

  12. Hi,

Is it possible in 1 WordPress CMS to use both subfolders for some languages (e.g., for English, German and Italian) and separate domains for some other languages (e.g., for Dutch only)?

  13. Hello,

We are about to take over the administration of a website that contains the WPML plugin. With that being said we would like to purchase a license of this plugin as it uses the old admin license.

The questions is, where can i change the license key after purchase? Btw, I am guessing that the license is delivered as a key?

    Thanks in advance,
    Adrian

    • Hi Adrian,
the license is a WPML subscription which means that you will have an account created in our wpml.org site and there you will be able to register your customers’ sites. A key will be generated for you and then you will need to paste that key in your customer’s WordPress site as well.

      • Hello again and thanks for the quick reply. What happens if there is already an active subscription and that needs to be changed? How is that done?

        • Hi Adrian,
what sort of change you do have in mind?

If you mean upgrading from the Blog subscription to the “Multilingual CMS” or from “Multilingual CMS” to the “Lifetime”, yes, this is possible and you will find a relevant link in your WPML account to do that.

          • It’s a change in the ownership of the license. We don’t own the current license that is currently installed and used and would like to purchase a new license that is ours and then somehow change the installation so it uses our new license instead.

          • Hello again,

Just wanted to remind you so u don’t forget about me/us. We still need to know the procedure of changing the license from one owner to another. Please see my latest response for more details.

  14. Hello,

I want to pay for a plugin but i can’t use PayPal. The credit card method is not working for me.

There is another way to pay for a plugin? Direct transfer maybe?

    Thanks

  15. Hi i have the wpml out of date.

Because of the wordpress 4.5 I will buy the “Multilingual CMS for life”. My question is: I will lost my translations?

  16. Hi
I am relatively computer illiterate but have been told I should set up a WordPress website because it’s easy to do so!
    My question is this:
My potential customers are NOT in the UK, they will try to find my business in their own language and in their own script (I.e. Italian, French, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, Korean).

Is there any point in my doing this? Is there any plugin (I’m learning tne vocabulary!) I can buy that might help me?

    Will it be expensive?
If you were me, how would you try to get my new website “findable” inntne above countries?
    Thanks
    Rod Murdison
    Beckenham

    • Hi Rod,
the purpose of providing your site’s contents in more than one languages is to attract more visitors to your website from search engines such as Google. So if somebody googles something in let’s say Italian, they are likely to see some of your site’s pages in search results, because you had let Google index the Italian part of your website. This will happen if you provide translations made by humans.

WPML won’t translate your contents automatically for you, you need to insert translations yourself or you can use one of profesional translation services integrated with WPML (paid extra – see https://wpml.org/documentation/content-translation/)

What WPML does: it allows you to add translations for your WordPress posts/pages in your WordPress back-end. This is easy and you don’t need to be an advanced WP user to achieve this. However, it would be nice to have all the elements of your site translated, including sliders, widgets etc. This is more tricky and depends on your theme, so I’m not 100% sure how you would manage this. You can ask for our support help (free, I mean included in your WPML subscription) or contact one of our consultants (paid extra)) to help you with more advanced stuff:

  17. Hello I bought a Year’s subscription at 79 dollars. It has ran out. I wanted to update it for another year for 39 dollars as it says on the site but I am not given that option in my account.
How can i get another year’s renewal.
    thanks

    shahrukh

    • Hello, to use the $39 option you need to renew your subscription before it expires. For customers who missed their renewal date we offer an upgrade to the Lifetime version at a reduced price. Please log into your WPML account to see this option.

    • Hi,
      1. We never tested WPML with this plugin. I didn’t find any information about this plugin compatibility with WPM on their site either. The only way to check it is to buy WPML with our refund policy in mind:
      https://wpml.org/purchase/refunds-policy/

      2. It will display pages and posts in the selected language.

  18. Hi guys,

I have one question. As a digital agency, we buy the “Multilingual CMS Lifetime” version and are allowed to use it for unlimited client projects. Is this right?

    Thanks a lot in advance.
    Florian
