  1. If i buy plugin for 79$, i can use it for 100 sites, yes? I ment i have not pay for every site more?

If i buy 79$ and not renew for 39$, that plugin stop working after one year?

    • If i buy plugin for 79$, i can use it for 100 sites, yes? I ment i have not pay for every site more?

      That’s correct.

If i buy 79$ and not renew for 39$, that plugin stop working after one year?

No, they won’t stop working but we cannot anticipate what will happen if you upgrade your WordPress and don’t upgrade WPML. So you will lose access to our support forum and future releases.

      • OK the “Multilingual CMS Lifetime” version can be used for unlimited sites.
        That sounds very good.

        One additional question:
Can I use WPML for sites I will create for customers, too?
        Or is there a limitation?
        Example:
I buy one license an create 10 sites. One site for myself and 9 sites for customers / friends. I will use WPML as part of the created sites not for selling WPML as a product itself.

        • Yes, you can use it for your customers sites too. We also consider it a good idea, as if in a future you need to contact our support, it would be easier to talk directly to you as a developer.

  2. Dear Sir or Madam,
nearly a year ago, we purchased your plagin for our website (acc.libfl.ru).
Unfortunately, we lost the access to the registered email and forgot our password. Our colleague, who purchased the plugin, had moved to another country and we can’t reach him.
How can we restore the access to our account?

  3. Do you have a service for translating the content on our site to every language, where someone actually goes in and makes sure it makes sense in each language?

    • We don’t have a demos system, but we do offer refunds, up to 30 days from the date of order. If you buy WPML and are not 100% happy with it, let us know and we’ll refund your order.

  4. Hi,

my account password is not valid any more (Why?). Password reset via email doesn’t work.
If you’re not able to send me an email because my mail server is blocking your mail server ip address. Then please send me new account information via an gmail account.

Is it possible to renew the license for 39 USD?

    kind regards

    Zoran

    • Did you check the SPAM folder for our auto-generated PW?

I’m asking our admin to contact you and make sure that you can log in.

  5. Hi

    3 Questions:

1: I don’t want the plugin to translate the words for me, I will provide the translated text for each page, will that work in this plugin?

2: I only need French language translation is that okay?

    3. What needs to happen is when a user has French as their language set on the computer/browser it will re-direct them to the French website, can this plugin do that?

    Thanks

    • Hi,
WPML doesn’t translate your contents automatically. It will help you to set up your blog so you can present your contents in any language you want (including Bahasa Indonesia, English and Chinese), but you will need to insert the translations yourself.

Another option is to use one of the translation services that are integrated with WPML (and available through the Translation Management extension) but these are paid extra and the prices are set individually by each services.

    • If you buy the basic Multilingual Blog account now, you will only need to pay the difference ($50) when you upgrade to the full Multilingual CMS package.

  6. Hi there,

    Allow me some pre-sales questions:

Currently, I have 4 different wordpress installations, one for each language. The point in switching to WPML would be, NOT to translate everything, but instead:

    – Run an English website with WooCommerce shop and Sensei LMS in English, plus all emails and communication around the website in English

    – Selectively create online courses and WooCommerce products in other languages and place them in the courses area and shop area next to the English products

    – and then use WPM: to translate a selective pages like the services landing pages and some blog posts
    – and display a language selector in the content area of these pages/posts. The language selector should show only the languages that are actually available from this page/post.

    Can I do that?

    Nicole

    • You can translate only some of the content in the site, when you use WPML. Normally, WPML will only show translated content. If you have some pages that you don’t want to translate, but still you want to show in the navigation for other languages, you can “duplicate” it. We explain it here:
      https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/displaying-untranslated-content-using-content-duplication/

      This way:
      1. The untranslated content appears in the navigation of all languages.
      2. When visitors see that untranslated content, they still stay in their correct language. All other links would point to pages in the correct (translated) language.
      3. If you later decide to translate that content, it’s easy to do so.
      4. WPML tells Google about the original content, so that it doesn’t consider these duplicates as a problem.

Is this what you are looking for?

      • Hi Amir,

That sounds like WPML switches between languages on the website level, and so is the look-and-feel of your showcases. Is that correct?

That would mean that the only thing that would make sense using WPML is to choose a second language, my native language, in addition to English, to keep it sustainable on the long run. And then to translate all service pages and blog. Not exactly what I am looking for.

One option for the language URL caught my attention, though: the lang=en vs. lang=de looks like it would be advantageous for SEO. What role does it play in coming up as relevant in search results and driving geolocated traffic? Or does the pure existence of single pages in other languages suffice?

        Nicole

        • Hi Amir,

… Still interested in buying WPML. I could imagine to offer the homepage, service landing pages and blog in English and German.

          Re. lang=en vs. lang=de

Could you please answer the above question on how the lang=en vs. lang=de affects SEO?

          Re. WooCommerce

If I want the WooCommerce checkout to be in German for German visitors, which of your offers should I choose?

Do you use the official WooCommerce translation so that I do not need to translate any strings?

What about products, product attributes and variations? Is it feasible to create completely separate products, attributes and variations in English and German to display them all in one shop?

          Re. Sensei

Do you also support the official translations for the Sensei LMS?

          Nicole

          • p.s.: Looking at the Wundersocks showcase I am beginning to get an idea of the advantages of WPML. A visitor can switch languages from any site, including products, and gets the translation of this exact page.

  7. Hi. If I purchase the multilingual blog, and later need to upgrade to multilingual CMS, what would be the cost? I need to buy a new license?

    • Hello David,

If you buy the basic Multilingual Blog account now, you will only need to pay the difference when you upgrade to the full Multilingual CMS package.

      Regards

  8. I want to buy the plugin, i’m from Portugal, why it keeps me adding the VAT tax of 23%? I do many buys online and when are from another country, like US they never change VAT taxes, as when i sell services to US i don’t add VAT tax…

  9. Hi,

We are interested in the WPML plugin but would like to trial it for a week or 2 before we commit to a purchase. We want to make sure that it works for us and that it works ok with our Beaver Builder theme, which is not currently listed in the compatible themes list.

    Thanks
    Miguel

  10. We are making a new website in Hungarian language, and want to have it multilingual. It has the Avada theme and WooCommerce plugin, besides other plugins. Some texts appear in English, even though the language is set to Hungarian.

Can we make sure the “main” language (Hungarian) can be translated with this plugin?

    regards,
    Miklos

    • Hello Miklos,

Avada is an important theme and I’m glad to say that is compatible with WPML. It means that you can translate your site into the language you need (Hungarian included). If you are referring to the theme itself, I can’t assure that it has been translated to Hungarian, it depends on the author. But you should be able to translate it if this is what you are looking for.

If you have any doubt, you have a 30 days period for asking a refund without questions been asked.

  11. I’m planning to build a WooCommerce site in Spanish and the products will be imported from Amazon Japan.

That is, the site, pages and posts themselves are in Spanish but the core of each post, the product description and the title, will be in Japanese. I need to have it translated into Spanish.

As far as I know, WPML translate the entire post. Is there a way to translate only parts of the post?

    • You can translate the post, duplicate all the fields that don’t need translation and only translate some. You can tell WPML which fields to copy from the original language to translations. These fields will be copied automatically and not appear in the translation editor.

      Does this help?

      • Thanks for replying.

The process you mention is automatic or have to done manually?

Second question: does your solution requires a language switch?
Having one is a possible solution if there is no other available
but it is not desirable because the site is NOT multilingual; it is
a Spanish site that happens to have some parts in Japanese.

  12. I’m building a site with Avada and want to use a full-page slider. Many people have reported challenges using the Fusion Slider with WPML, though it looks like they eventually sort things out. Do you recommend using the Revolution Slider instead? Does it play better with WPML? Thanks.

  13. Hello,
I was just thinking how your plugin would work for already published pages, using some sort of theme provider’s builder or like a siteorigin builder. Pages built using such builders dont come like a post or content area of wordpress editor.
Then how i can change the language in that case?
I was thinking to have an easy solution like transposh, in which one can translate his page while it is fully opened.

    thanks.

    • Transposh translates content on the front-end. This has some benefits, but also a lot of challenges.

WPML translates the content in the backend.

Right now, to translate pages built with page builders, like Siteorigin, Visual Composer, Beaver Builder, Divi and others, you need to create copies of them per language. A lot of people use that and it’s working fine. This way, you also have complete control over the design and styling in each language.

We are going to include an option in WPML to extract the texts from page builders and translate them, without having to create completely separate designs per language. This will be ready in the next few months.

      Does this help?

  14. Does the plugin work well with all pagebuilders? I work with the Themify.me pagebuilder and want to use WPML.

I also made a webshop – woocommerce – in Dutch, which will also has to be translated. Some text on the buttons I’ve changed via the functions.php (client wanted a “offerte” (dutch for quote) button instead of a add-to-cart button and no prices). Does the WPML plugin also change these buttons I’ve changed into German or French?

    • Works fine. Right now, there is no way for WPML to extract the translatable texts from Themify’s page builder. This means that you will need to copy the page-builder designs between translations and edit on the page builder. I think that Themify saves the page builder content as a custom field, so it’s very simple to duplicate between translations. WPML can do that for you. Then, you will need to edit the translated pages and translate inside the page builder.

      Will this work for you?

  15. Hi,
I live in Turkey and there is no chance for buy this plugin via paypal or 2checkout. Are there any other way to buy plugin?

  16. Hello,
I need to create a Spanish version of a very simple website.
I am unclear how the translation is handled. Is the plugin doing it automatically? Or do I or someone else need to manually add the Spanish translation?

I am looking to purchase the BASIC package.

    Thank you for your time.

    • One other question – the Basic package – this will allow for all front end pieces of the website to be translated? The menus, the page content, the titles, etc? thanks again.

      • The basic package, Multilingual Blog, doesn’t come with WPML’s String Translation. String Translation is needed for tagline, widgets and other elements. If you buy the basic package, you can always upgrade to the full package and pay only the difference.

  17. Hi

I have a new customer with a already working WooCommerce Shop. They wanted to make the shop in two languages so the developer they had before installed WPML on the site.

Unfortunately they don’t have the licence to update it so the version of WPML Translation Management is 2.2, WPML Multilangual CMS is 3.4.0 and so on.

The problem now is that the site was extremely slow. So I deactivated every plugin step by step and in the end it were the whole WPML Plugins which caused the lazy loading speed of the site.

With activated WPML plugins the site takes around 10 seconds to load. If I deactivate it the site takes around 1.5 seconds to load.
When I test the speed on a PageSpeed-Site the difference is 17 Points.

So before I buy a new licence for updating the plugins you can imagine that I want to know why this lack of speed is happening when your plugins are enabled?

The theme used by my customers is up to date and WPML compatible.

    Thank you.

    • Site speed was our focus in the last several releases of WPML. We’ve handled the major performance improvements, making multilingual sites run a lot faster then before. You can buy a new account for WPML and install the current versions. Your site should run a lot faster than before. Still, WPML (and any other plugin) will add processing time to your site, but current versions take a lot less than previous ones – especially for WooCommerce sites.

In particular, you should see major improvements in:
      * The admin Dashboard (the main admin screen)
      * The WooCommerce products lists
      * The WooCommerce product editor
      * WPML’s Translation Editor for products
      * Front-end single-product display
      * Front-end products lists

If you find the performance still too slow, we can do two things:

      1. Debug your site and see what’s causing this (sometimes, it’s a configuration issue that’s easy to resolve)
      2. Refund your order

In any case, if you are not happy with WPML, for whatever reason, we’re not going to keep your money.

      Does this help?

  18. Hey,
I’m using Woocommerce, WOOF filter and Polylang. After translate can’t use pretty permalinks anymore, because filter just don’t work. Have to use ugly links.
With WPML i don’t have this problem? WOOF ajax and other filters will work nice?

  19. i have a client who wants a multilingual site. they want to trial the plugin first to check the quality of the translations. is there a way we can do this before purchasing?

  20. Hi

If i have website.fr for french version and later i decide i want to create an english version of all my websites (categories, posts, tags etc.) without starting from scratch so i install wpml on website.fr (website.com would be for english version). I do all my translations but then months later i realize that french version, the website used at inception from where i was making my english translations, is not very popular but english version (website.com) is popular. If i decide to compeltely delete website.fr, what happens to all the translatiosn (categories, tags, posts, pages etc.) i made on website .com/english version ? Do i loose them also or are they “forever” registered in my database and can safely remove any website without losing translation, as far as i use different domains ?

Second question would be the same (what happens?) but if i use folder (website.com = french and website.com/en/ = english, but i want to delete french version but keep english version. Is it possible ? would website.com/en/ be automatically “redirected at website.com ?

Third question is the same, but with sub-domains (website.com = french and en.website.com = english and i want to delete french version of my website).

    Thanks

    • Hello Jordan,

For all your questions the answer will be the same as WPML stock the translation information in a similar way. WPML needs at least two languages installed to work correctly, so you could mark your French language as Hidden instead of erase it. However, you’ll need to manually create the corresponding redirections.

      Regards
