  1. Hi, I´m adding additionan languages to this site and as its made with WpBakery Page Builder i thought about using wpml for the translation: http://www.tinting.no – i believe it has the WpBakery Visual composer starter theme. Will the the plugin be compatible with my theme, plugins and visual editor? I have a pop-up , cookie warning, contact form 7 and a booking widget on the same site: could i use the plugin for translating these as well?

    Thank you:)

  2. Hello

If i get Multilingual CMS license then i need to add more website can i upgrade it to the Multilingual Agency do i need to buy a full new license or i can upgrade from one to other ?

    Thanks

  3. Hello,

I want to know if the prices showed on the “Comparing WPML to Free and Paid Alternatives” are prices which you have to pay per year or just one time?

    Kind regards,

    Marta

    • Our pricing is for the first year of your account. You need to renew your account to continue receiving updates and support. Renewals cost 75% of the original price (25% discount).

  4. If I purchase the Multilingual CMS 3 website option for $79, will the plugin allow me to translate my site into 3 different languages for example German, Spanish and Italian on three different domains eg. .de, .es and .it versions of my current .com website?

    Hope this question makes sense!

    David

    • Yes. For activations, we count sites and not languages or domains. If you have one website with several languages in different domains, it only counts as one usage of WPML.

    • I see what you mean. I’ve just asked our sysadmin to send you a purchase link with the correct product (Multilingual Agency) and coupon. I hope that she can send it today, because it’s New Year’s eve and she might be away. We’ll also talk with the people in WPMUDEV to add our Multilingual Agency to their discounts page.

If you don’t hear from Ana by Wednesday, please write here again.

    • Hello Sam,
the plugin looks suspicious. From what I can understand from the description provided, they took the WPML plugin and are re-selling it (which we don’t allow). We need to have a closer look at the page and sort it out with the authors. Please note that wpml.org page is the only reliable source for purchasing the WPML plugin. If you want to buy WPML, you should use this page: https://wpml.org/purchase/

  5. Our website has about 1,500 business articles in English. We want to start with about 40 Spanish translated articles (we have a translator), but will quickly continue to translate more articles. What are the user experience best practices for doing this? The navigation, etc. will not be translated yet.

    Thanks.

    • Hello Don,
WPML will help. It lets you run a multilingual site even if only some of your articles/pages are translated. In this case, you can start with the “Multilingual Blog” package and start creating Spanish versions of your articles. The translator clicks a button to translate the original post and provides the translation (it resembles standard WP post editing but in another language). If you need a convenient flow of sending your articles to your translator, you can consider using the WPML Translation Management plugin, which is available in the Multilingual CMS (or Multilingual Agency) version. It also uses a more convenient editor and has many other useful features. You can also upgrade to the Multilingual CMS version later for the difference in purchase price.

  6. Hi,

I have purchased WPML in the past and i’m having some issues with the plugin on my website http://www.desibazaar.pl

The problem is that stock is not synchronising between the original language (English) and the translation (Polish). When I manually update the products by going into products -> all products -> Edit -> Set as Published -> Update – the stock on the Polish site is corrected. However, as soon as anything is purchased from the English site, the Polish site does not update the stock quantities.

I want to purchase WPML again, however it is important for me to sort out this issue.

    Looking forward to your reply!

    • Hello,
I will check with our WooCommerce Multilingual developers if this is a known issue. If it turns out that it’s not, I’d suggest doing the following: 1. purchase WPML, 2. update the plugins if the problem persists, open a support ticket. In the worst scenario, you will have 30 days to get a refund. But please let me check with our devs first.

    • Hi again,
Our devs have confirmed that we do have some issues with the synchronization and the will be fixed in the upcoming release (currently in testing and it’s planned for the next week). But since each case is different registering a ticket would help us to see the details of your case.

      • Hi Agnes,

Thanks for your prompt reply! I will go ahead and purchase and in case things don’t work out I will ask for a refund 🙂

All the best for the new year!

  7. Dear Team,

Currently we are using WPML for a multilingual shop. I am not able to seek technial support, because the website was developed by a subcontractor with whom we are no longer in relations.

The problem is that the shop archive products are not showing in the translated site, everything else is working fine.

Please advise if there is a common solution for that problem or if there is a way to contact support for a solution.

    Thank you in advance!

    • Hello Vasil,
You are welcome to search our forum for similar issues. If you need to open a ticket you will need an active subscription. If you are no longer in touch with the subcontractor you are welcome to buy a new subscription so that you can access updates and support.

      Hope this helps!

  8. Hello.
    My name is Daniel.
My website is non-commercial & non-profit. If I purchase WPML CMS Multilingual @ $79, will it continue to function year after year, without renewal?

    • Hello Daniel,
Thanks for your interest. If you do not renew after a year you will lose access to updates and support but you can keep using the files you have installed on your site.

      Best regards,

  9. Hi,

I am working a set of sites and have a requirement for them to be translated. They are built using Elementor.

The translators wish to receive the content in text or doc format.

Is there a simple way with WPML to download each page, send it to the translator and then re-upload as a different language?

    Many thanks and best regards
    K

    • Hello,
WPML works with the Elementor. If you are looking for a comfortable way to translate the pages you can add your translator as a user to your WordPress site and make him/her a translator – this is where you will need the WPML Translation Management plugin. It’s available in the Multilingual CMS package ($79) or in the Multilingual Agency ($159 ) package. If you want your translator to translate your pages outside your WordPress file, the best way would be to use the XLIFF files (WPML supports them). This is a standardized way to translate content, not only in WordPress but in general. https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/using-desktop-cat-tools/configuring-xliff-file-options/

This video will help you understand how you translate pages built with Elementor:

  10. Hi,

I would like to know if the WPML could work for my website. I just installed the LMS theme. The webmaster managed to install it while my SQL is only 5.5.

Do you think I could install the WPML with a SQL 5.5? Do you need the PHP configuration of the site to have more information to answer to me?

    Kind regards,
    Sophie

  11. Hi,

I would like to know if WPML could be installed on my website. I just put the LMS theme. The webmasters from LMS managed to install the theme even if my SQL is only 5.5.

Do you think the WPML could be installed on my site with a SQL 5.5 only?

Do you need to see the PHP configuration to answer?

    Kind regards,
    Sophie

  12. Does WPML fully support ListingPro WordPress Theme?

If I have two posts written initially into two different languages, Can WPML handle translating them?

  13. i wan to buy the plugin now i do not want to have yearly subscription what happens if i do not renew my licence ofcourse i will not get the support but can i keep using the plugin thank you

    • You don’t have to pay for yearly renewals. Right after you buy, log-in to your account and click to cancel the renewal. Without automatic renewal, you receive one year of updates and support. If your account expires and you need to download WPML or receive our support, you will need to buy a new account for the full price. The yearly renewals cost 75% of the original purchase, so you save 25%.

      • after my account expire will i still be able to install it on new websites that i will create, or i can only install for as long as i have the suscription

        • You will need a valid account to register WPML. So, without a valid account, you will be able to install WPML on new sites but you will not receive updates on these sites and you will see a notice that WPML is not registered.

  14. Hello,

I do not see the Burmese/Myanmar language. I am planning to use Classipress from Appthemes. Does WPML support the Burmese language?

I am thinking of developing a website with Burmese language options like the one shown below. It should have a switch at the top right corner that allows visitors to switch between different languages.

    http://www.president-office.gov.mm/en/

    Thank you for your time.

    • We don’t have a way to auto-upgrade your plan on a given year. You can upgrade your plan at any time from within your WPML account. When you upgrade, you only pay for the remainder of the year and not the full difference between the plans.

  15. I already had an account which I probably used last year, to purchase WPML for a different website. I just purchased WPML CMS 30 minutes ago for a new website i’m building. The advertised price is $79. But I was invoiced 1 dollar. Is this an error? I don’t mind paying just a dollar, but I don’t want to run into trouble in the future, and I want to be assured that everything will work properly, and that I am fully eligible for the support that comes with my intended purchase.

    My account name is “danielF-49”

    • Thank you for checking with us about the account renewal. Our system noticed that you already had a valid account from April/3/2018, so it didn’t charge you for the renewal. Your account is valid until April/3/2019. The $1 charge is due to setting up the billing using Stripe. Stripe doesn’t allow us to start subscriptions with zero initial payment, so we charge $1 when you setup the automatic renewal with Stripe.

    • Thank you.

When I tried to purchase WPML for a new website that I am creating for an organization, I used my personal email address, which has an existing WPML account associated with it. I did not want the WPML CMS I was purchasing, to be shared with a previous WPML purchase. I want this new WPML CMS to be uniquely dedicated to the new website, without any association to any other websites. Should I remove this new installation, and re-purchase a new one, making a new account with a different email address?

      • Hello Daniel,
technically, these are two separate things: your WPML accounts and the WordPress sites you use WPML on.

The moment when you connect the two is when you are registering your site.
The registration process is described here: https://wpml.org/faq/install-wpml/#register

What I’m saying is that you don’t need to delete your WordPress site/installation even if you want to use a separate “license” (WPML subscription/account) for it.

If you need two separate WPML accounts (with two separate email addresses), feel free to buy a new WPML subscription and use it to register the site that you want to keep independent from others.

  16. we wish to make this website multilingual

    1. can we just do a one page website for another language? or must we copy the present structure?

    2. we are using divi theme. can you handle the ‘projects’ post type and related slug to change the url?

    3. can we see examples of divi using wpml?

4 if we buy for one site, can we upgrade for multiple sites?

    Thankyou

    • Hello,

thank you for contacting us and your questions.
      1. Yes, you can (you don’t need to translate all of your pages, WPML supports that but the more pages you have translated, the better your site will perform in search engines such as Google)
      2. Yes, you can translate the projects as well. The slug of your post will be created automatically based on the new title of your projects but you can edit them if needed.
      3. Yes, please check our showcase: https://wpml.org/showcase/?wpv-site-theme=divi&wpv_view_count=1402455
      4. Yes, you can and you will only pay the difference in your purchase price.

    • No sorry. We stopped offering Lifetime accounts on June 2018. When you buy WPML, you have the option to auto-renew your site (this is actually the default option), so there is no hassle keeping your account active.

  17. I am developing a WordPress site using the Elementor page builder. I am building the site on a subdomain, and it will be move to the root domain, when finished. When I do that, will my WPML CMS installation move with it, or can it be moved? And will it still receive automatic updates and continue to be eligible for WPML’s tech support?

    for example:
http://wp.mysite.org (under construction) BECOMES http://mysite.org (once completed)

    • If these are two separate WordPress installations you will need to register the new domain in your WPML account to receive automatic updates. Registration takes a few minutes.

    • Hi Agnes. Your response doesn’t answer my concern. Please allow me to clarify by releasing…
I am developing a multilingual WordPress website on the subdomain:
      wp.mysite.org
Once it is finished being built, AND all translations are complete, I will be moving the website to:
      mysite.org
Both the initial development location and the final permanent location, are within the same domain.
      My QUESTION is:
Will my WPML translations remain intact when I move the site over, or is there something I need to do in order to make sure they do?

      Daniel

      • Hello Daniel,
I don’t know how you usually move from a subdomain to the main domain. If you move the entire site with the entire database (you use the duplicator plugin for example), you don’t need to do anything in terms of your content (translations) but you will need to generate a new key and register the new site again to get WPML updates.

In other words, your question comes down to how you technically move your website. WPML translations are part of your WordPress database and they will move along with the database.

        I hope it helps.

    • Yes, what I can see in the system you have no WPML subscription associated with your email address. I’ll check the details with our account managers. What message did you get when you were finalizing your order? Did it say that it was successful? Did you get any emails from us?

  18. Hi!
I buyed a plugin version CMS. The payment was approve but on my account dont change order status. I received the mesage from my credit card contain the confirmation. 07/01 – 01:27 *ONTHEGOSYST.
