  1. Hi

    I have just started to work with this client and they have a customised theme from a previous agency.
    Theme is built with visual composer and immediately collapsed when I changed (not sure what) a setting in the wpml plugin configuration.
    It is not loading some required js that completes the rendering of the page, specifically the header, there is a custom shortcode to initialise a sandwich menu. I cannot find out what has changed in order to find the lost/missing javascript. I have hardly touched it and it has failed already. I know it isnt your fault, its between the original contractors and myself but I need some expert help please.
    How do I go about getting that, even if I have to subscribe & pay (the original contractor holds the original support details & I cannot get at them as far as I know)

    • Hello Phil,

      Yes, our supporters can have a closer look but you need to have an active subscription to open a ticket in our forum. If I understand you correctly the WPML subscription has been purchased/registered by someone else, not your direct client so in that case, you (or your customer) will need to buy WPML.

  2. Dear Agnes, there was a lot of movement at the Foundation and I am not able to open a support ticket because I don’t have the current username and password. Can you help me with that?

    I have my wordpress username and password but not the WPML.

    • Nathalie, in my previous reply I’ve mentioned an order number but if we created you a WPML account for free, you might not have one. So in this case, please send us anything you have related to your WPML history (some old emails, the address used for your WPML account, the site). We’ll see what we can do for you. Thank you.

  3. Hello, I was planing to buy the wpml pro -$79, but it says that I will be charge $59 yearly. How can I decline the renewal option?

    • Hello Kathy,
      in that case, after purchasing WPML you would need to cancel your subscription. You will find a link to do so in your WPML account. You can cancel your subscription anytime. Your WPML account will be active for the period you’ve paid for even if you cancel it right after the purchase. Canceling means “I don’t want to be charged me automatically after the first year”.

    I purchased WPML on the 11th of December 2018 (Multilingual blog – order 2,987,958) but asked for a refund on January the 10th because of a transition to a multisite structure. In the meantime, I have returned to a single site, because of multiple issues. So I consider making a purchase again to have support and updates. My question is: can I change the sequence of the translated date in the comments of a blog with the Multilingual blog plan or do I have to purchase the Multilingual CMS plan? Because I see no way to change it with the blog plan.

    • Comments aren’t translatable in neither of the packages.
      Comments are in the language of the post they belong to.

        What I meant was the date above the comment (sorry for the confusion). It is translated only partially, and the sequence is different in Dutch(NL) than in English. In English it is: on January 23, 2019 at 09:53, which is translated as: op January 23, 2019 om 09:53 but should be: op 23 januari 2019 om 09:53.

    Two questions:

    1 Does WPML also have the functionality to translate media files, such as the title and alt text of pictures?

    2 What is the best solution for SEO optimization: have your translations published on a directory (www.website.com/english) or on a separate domain (www.separatewebsite.com)?

  7. There’s the need to make a site multilingual and choose between WPML Multilingual CMS & WPML Multilingual Agency.
    Does WPML Multilingual Agency also covers a lifetime support and updates?

    • Hello Richard, not it doesn’t. The only difference between the two is the number of sites you can register (3 versus unlimited ). we don’t have Lifetime packages anymore.

    I want to buy your plugin and add it to my website but first i want to ask about the product price and how much pages which i can translate it with the each price.
    I hope could you have to give me an advice of what package could i use for my case of single domain and multiple pages needs to translate.

    • Hello Anas,
      We do not charge per translation of pages. We have the Blog subscription to register WPML on one site, this includes the core plugin only (to translate the basiic content, posts and pages). The CMS subscription allows to download all modules to translate all parts of your site and allows to register up to 3 sites.           I’m sorry but we don’t have any discounts. If $79 is too much for you, please consider buying the Blog version for now and upgrade to the $79 later. You will be able to do later so for the difference in purchase price.

  10. Hi there! I am working on a project that involves WordPress VIP. Is WPML certified/accepted for WordPress VIP? They were saying only MultilingualPress was, and that is not an ideal solution for us. Would much rather use WPML.

    • I’m not sure why PayPal put a hold on your payment. They do it pretty rarely on orders that they want to check on. It doesn’t mean that there’s anything wrong with your order, it just triggered an algorithm in PayPal.

      If you haven’t received anything from PayPal, I can cancel that order and you can place a new one using our alternative payment processor. Would you like me to cancel this one?

  14. I am using WordPress Theme which is not RTL ready. Can WPML use different CSS files when I change between RTL and LTR language.
    For Example, when English it will use original CSS files and when I change language to Arabic it uses another css files in another folder.

    I want to buy wpml 79$ CMS bundle. but i see that it will be used in 1 year and for three website. If i cancel any website like i want to use in the website which will expire after 3 months and that client might not renew the website with us so can i use the same key for another website? or if i register any website will be specifically for that website only?

    • Hello Ahmed,
      you can register and unregister different websites anytime. Suppose you’ve registered domain A. You’ve got a key generated. You can unregister (remove) that website domain from your WPML account anytime and register a completely new domain instead. Please note that domain/site registration is only to generate a key and the key is used to get automatic updates for the WPML plugin. In other words, removing a site/domain from your WPML doesn’t remove the plugins.

      are you asking if you can pay in advance more than it’s required? If so, the answer is no. But maybe I didn’t understand your question correctly…

    • Hello Dariusz,
      we don’t have proforma invoices, only regular invoices. Once your order is completed you will get access to your WPML account and you will be able to download your WPML invoice from there.

    If I choose $29 version of WPML, does it mean that I will have it for one year and when that period is over, if I do not pay $29 again (for another year), WMPL will be disabled?

    • Hello, you can still use WPML plugins even if you don’t pay again but you will lose access to future updates and our support help.
