Hi i use now polylang free and i have problem with integration from greek to english products with the main image of the product. I want to ask if i buy your plugin it will fixed? and if you have support on how to fix it
Hello,
There are no known issues with translating product images. You can translate all your product data using WPML along with the WooCommerce Multilingual. Please note that our refund policy allows you to test WPML for 30-days without any risk.
Sorry to insist but we just want to be completely sure about this situation, because we read in wpml forum some contradictory information.
Like I wrote before:
1) The client site will be example.de (main language DE)
2) He wants EN language to be as separate domain with subdirectory – example.com/en
3) He wants RU language to be as separate domain with subdirectory – example.com/ru
Please just confirm if it is possible this scenario, because we read that it seems not possible to mix the two structures, and when try to save “Language as a separate domain” with /en in the end, it automatically removes the sub-folder, only allowing save as sub-domain (en.example.com).
After consulting your case with the WPML’s lead developer it turns out that it’s not possible. The main reason is that in WPML you can’t mix two URL formats.
So you would need to stick to either one or the other option.
We suggest you use en.example.de and ru.example.dev as secondary domains.
Or even better:
de.example.com as the main domain, with en.example.com and ru.example.com as secondary domains.
Then set example.de as either an alias of example.com (that is, the browser won’t change it into example.com) or a redirect (in this case, the browser would redirect to example.com).
Here is an explanation of the differences between “alias” and “redirect”: https://smallbusiness.chron.com/differences-between-primary-alias-domain-73189.html
Hi,
Can you confirm that for the $79 subscription it is not compulsory to update yearly for the plugin to continue to work?
The yearly update sub is an option to get extended support and plugin updates, right?
Also you mention that VAT is not applicable to companies. Do you mean it is not due or do you mean it has to be dealt with the local tax authorities?
Thanks
Vincent
Hello Vincent,
yes, an active subscription is needed to get support and updates. Your plugins will continue to function even if you cancel your subscription. You can cancel your subscription anytime by following the steps described here: https://wpml.org/purchase/how-to-change-your-payment-method/.
If you have your European VAT number and you enter it on your checkout page (we have a special field for it), VAT won’t be added. You don’t need to do anything else.
I’m interested in the product, however we don’t plan on utilizing all the features and it’s a bit too expensive for us right now. Is there anyway we could get a discount/promo on any of the CMS Solutions? The popular multilingual CMS solution looks very promising for us..
I’m looking forward to the reply, and I hope that you all are able to understand our current situation.
you can do the following:
1. Buy the Multilingual Blog ($29) and upgrade to the Multilingual CMS later for the difference in purchase price (if you do it from your WPML account our system will calculate the difference accordingly).
2. We don’t provide any discounts but some of our affiliates might have something. You would need to look around.
Hi, I would like to know if is it possible to make a transfer via Paypal in order to buy your product?
In fact, I have a PayPal account but I don’t have a credit card. so to put money on my PayPal I use a normal transfer to from my bank account to PayPal account.
When I tried to use my Paypal account, Paypal system obliges me to enter a credit card.
Hello,
WPML accounts are based on the subscription model and that’s why the integration with a credit card is a requirement. You can stop your subscription anytime.
My website is entirely built with Oxygen Builder (https://oxygenbuilder.com/), I can see you cleared up multiple times that the plugin does not have full compatibility with WPML:
So, should I feel confident about translating my site with WPML? Posts are obviously written inside Gutenberg, so no problems there, but all the pages are created with Oxygen.
Hello Giorgio,
Yes, WPML and Oxygen Builder work well together. If you have any problem you can always ask at our dedicated forum to clients. If after all, it does not work we will refund you. You have until 30 days to try it https://wpml.org/purchase/refunds-policy/
Ok, and if I use the directory to filter out the languages (so, for example, mysite.com/en/), will this negatively impact my SEO? so maybe I should prefer a subdomain (en.mysite.com)?
Please let me know if you have a documentation about this, I can’t find any articles on this topic.
Hi, we want to buy the plugin but in the last point “Account renewal per year” this item is confuse that means we need to pay again for continue using the plugin?, when the year time is over the plugin not working?
Hello Nicolas,
This means you need to pay for the renewal if you want to keep access to updates and support. If you don’t, you can keep using whatever you have installed on your site.
Hi Support, if I would like to use WPML on a multisite install with mapped domains plus one additional stand-alone site. Should I then buy the CMS or Agency package?
Hello Lars,
You can either activate and install WPML as a network plugin or per the separate blogs. It will count as 1 or separate url instances, respectively.
More info here https://wpml.org/documentation/support/multisite-support/
I have had Toolset types plug in for several years. It is telling me i need to update. I cannot find my licence code. Is WPML the same plug in as have been using?
Toolset Types
You have version 2.2.23 installed. Update to 3.3.2. View version 3.3.2 details.
Hello Dwayne,
Types is now part of the Toolset package and requires a paid subscription to get updates. If you have an active WPML account you should be able to receive updates too. Can you send me this info here https://wpml.org/home/contact-us/contact-form/?
I will check in our system and let you know your possibilities.
I work for a non-profit food bank, and we are interested in using your plug-in. However, our budget for website development was cut. Do you offer non-profit discounts?
Hello Dani,
I am afraid we have stopped supporting non-profits for now. We continue to support the existing ones in our system but we cannot take new ones. You are welcome to buy WPML and try it for 30 days. If it does not suit your needs we will refund you https://wpml.org/purchase/refunds-policy/
I’m planning to update a website from a scratch.
Do I have to add WPML plugin when I start making a new site.
Or Can I add the plugin after I finish making it?
Thank you.
if I bought a license for Multilingual CMS, at the annual renewal can I assume of upgrading to Multilingual Agency?
Or how can I do it? for example, if a few months have passed since the purchase of a CMS license, and I need to upgrade because I have more than 3 sites to manage, how could I proceed?
Thanks
Hello,
yes, that’s possible. You need to log into your WPML and you will find a link to do so. Our system will calculate the difference in the purchase price.
Basically, I am planning to add a Chinese translation for our website, I need some assistance on the technical level to add it successfully because I ended up having issues when i attempted(issue: title gets added to the default home page link) so I had to back up the website. The account that has been linked with wpml of our website belong to an outsourcing web developing company. Therefore, I can’t ask doubts on the community unless I have the login details. is there any way I can get in touch with the community for clarifying my doubts?
Hello,
you need to be logged into your WPML account to be able to discuss issues on our support forum. It means you need to have an active WPML subscription. Sometimes users hesitate to purchase WPML because they are not sure if their problem will be fixed but this is why we have a refund policy that allows you to test WPML and ask for our support assistance for 30 days.
I would like to use wpml. But string translation is a must. I only have one web site http://www.bftpackaging.com english is the language. Also have bftpackaging.com/tr turkish version. I would like to add new languages as well.
Hello,
If you need the WPML String Translation plugin (which allows you to translate additional strings) you need to buy the CMS package (the Blog one won’t suffice).
Hello!
The different versions do not limit the number of words to translate but the number of sites on which you can install and register WPML. For the Agency it is unlimited. If you choose to use automatic translation, we wil give you a free quota of 2000 words, both for the CMS and the Agency subscription.
Interested in WPML for a set of web shops we intend to set up. Our setup will be a set of websites selling slightly differing products, each set with a different language domains (using domain mapping and multi-site) and sharing stock. Something like this (for example):
1. Set of shops selling a type of product: stickers.com, stickers.se, stickers.de, etc. (with shared stock, and each domain with different language)
2. Similarly, a set of shops selling something else: pencils.com, pencils.se, pencils.de, etc.
.. and around 10 such sets of shops.
Could you please answer these questions:
1. Which license should we buy?
2. Does a license for a single website support unlimited multiple domains (for each language, and shared stock) under a single “master” website?
3. Could we get a single website license to begin with, and upgrade later as we add more sets of shops?
4. Do you have any specific documentation for setting up top-level domains for multiple languages with domain-mapping?
Hello,
We are intending to buy the CMS plugin with Woocommerce, but we are wondering if we can automatically translate the products. As we have more than 5000 products and it’s not possible to do it one by one.
We read about “duplicating the products” but we didn’t really understand what it actually mean in practice. Will it do the job and translate all the products automatically?
Hello,
the bulk machine translation feature for products is coming. We provide machine translations already but how it works right now, you need to visit each of your product individually and approved the machine translation to be applied. Let me check the status of the need feature that improves the process.

Hi. Just need a clarification:
Our client want to translate a site which main language will be example.de, and each new language accessed by different domain with subdirectory.
We know WPML can do this and we read your post: https://wpml.org/2016/04/use-wpml-different-domains-per-language/
The question that is not clear if possible to new domain per language can use subdirectory (not subdomain), like for example:
– example.de (main site language)
Use different domain per language:
– example.com/fr (french)
– example.com/en (english)
Thank you
Hello Fernando,
yes, you can have both domains pointing to a sub-folder and have domain per language enabled.
Hi Agnes,

Doubled checked with my team, there is no way to buy WPML using PayPal if you don’t have it associated with a credit card. I’m sorry.
Hi Agnes,
But I don’t have a credit card. Could I pay the first year with PayPal and next year you send me a reminder to pay for the next period?
Best regards.
Let me check with our devs if there are any workarounds we could apply in this case. I’ll keep you posted.
In this case, I am obliged to look for another plugin
I understand.

Hello!
Thanks for your interest. WPML can do this. It will take care of setting up the url format for the different languages autmomatically https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/#language-url-format
You can also manage the stock of your store with our bridge plugin WCML https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/woocommerce-multilingual/#inventory.
To translate your WooCommerce site you will need the CMS version (which allows to register up to 3 sites) or the Agency for unlimited. You can start with the CMS and then upgrade to Agency for the difference.
Let me know of any other question?

Hello,
We would like to have some informations before buying this extension. Is it possible to customize the different pages of our site according to the chosen language? (add different visuals and texts from one language to another as well as different widgets)
Thank you so much !
You can display your widgets conditionally for each language, please check this page for details:
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-widgets/displaying-different-widgets-for-different-languages/
You can also use the ICL_LANGUAGE_CODE

Please check this thread as well:

Yes, for regular pages it’s easy, you simply create different pages for each language. The URL will be created according to your page title but you can change the slug manually. It’s simply a new WordPress page.
Hello,

Hello,
you can choose any language as your site’s primary language, it doesn’t need to be English. It can be Turkish. Then, if you want to, you can add English as one of the other languages.
