    My WPML-subscription has to be updated. Which version of WPML do I need?

    This is what I have installed:

    – WPML CMS Nav
    – WPML Multilingual CMS
    – WPML String Translation
    – WPML Translation Management

    This is the website which needs the update: https://search4truth.eu/. I have one website. I don´t need any futher pages translated. I just need to keep it updated.

    My website is using the Stockholm theme in wordpress.
    First, is WPML compatible with Stockholm?

    Can I use a different domain per language for a Woocommerce shop. For example:
    Dutch shop: shop.domeinnaam.nl
    German shop: shop.domainname.de
    French shop: shop.nomdedomaine.fr

    I understand WPML is compatible with Woocommerce and that add-ons help translating productinfo and the order process.
    Also that it is possible for a regular website but do different domains per language also work for a woocommerce shop?

    I have another question. Will the WPML-licence work on both the live-site and the staging-site? We currently have 1 multi-lingual website (with Polylang), but they made it so that the 1-site licence also works on the staging site. We are now working on a second multi-lingual site and would like to switch to WPML. If we buy the Multilingual CMS version, can we use it on 3 websites and their staging sites?

      • Hi Mercedes,

        Okay… But a staging site is meant (amongst other things) to test updates before updating stuff on the live site. So it is imperative that the plugin not only works but can also be updated on a staging site… Which means we would have to buy the Multilingual Agency-package to get 4 licences for 2 sites plus their staging sites.

        How do other people deal with this? Don’t they test before updating? We’ve had multiple instances where there were conflicts after updates and we were happy to find them on the staging site, not the live one.

        • Hello Karen,
          if you have two production sites and two staging sites, here’s what you can do:
          Generate two keys for your production sites and a temporary one for one of your staging sites. Register your staging site to install/update WPML plugins, then remove that key in your WPML account and generate a new one for your second staging site. After a few months, when a new WPML version is available, do it again.
