Hi,
I have a “conceptual” issue that I’d like some clarification on.
There is one specific text box on my website Homepage that is being professionally translated by a third part into 10 languages. I want to translate the remainder of the Homepage using the automated machine-translation service built into WPML, but I do not want to alter the professionally translated text-box on my Homepage in the process.
I know this should be possible, but it is unclear to me what the best way to go about this is. What is the easiest way to auto-machine-translate only *some* elements of my Homepage and leave the rest unchanged?
Hi — can someone please help me with this? (I already have WPML but there’s no other access to forums besides signing out of my account to post this, it seems)
If you have translated that box using WPML, those translations should be used by our String Translation, therefore, available in our Translation memory. Thus, you can just resend your translation and that content should be recovered.
However, if you haven’t used WPML for that bloc, you should re-import your previous translation.
We have the Canadian site boschcaride.ca live BUT our client has informed us that customers will need to be directed to “boschcarbide.ca/en” which will be the actual url that they will share with their customers. Same goes for boschcarbide.ca/fr.
Will this plugin help me accomplish this url set up? The client has translated all of the English language to French for us already. But I’m just needing to set the domain url structure up in the way that they are requesting.
Thank you for your response. I have another question…Looking over the 3 different package options, what is meant by “Page Builder Support?”
Does that mean that I’d have to get the CMS version in order for this plugin to work with Divi? Or as you stated, should the Blog version work fine with Divi as well? I’ve already purchased the CMS version but I want to make sure that I’m not paying for something I don’t fully need.
We have over 2000 products on our e-commerce website and we are looking for a plugin that will create individual URL’s for those products in other languages so as to rank inin search results in those countries. Does tWPML create an individual separate URL for every product?
We have an ecommerce site that has 10,000 plus products . We are running our store on woocommerce.
Does WPML support batch translation and background translation ? i.e. can i translate say a batch of 500 products at once ? can that be done in the background ?
If not, how can WPML help us achieve product translations in bulk ?
NOTE:: we don’t need a multi-lingual site, we need all the chinese products translated and saved to the database. Can this be achieved with your solution ? Thanks.
About your second question, WPML always will need a pair of languages in order to work correctly. Thus, if you only need to display your Chinese site, you can install English and Chinese but hide your English language within WPML options.
Hello there,
I’m afraid that our WPML String Translation is not part of the Blog license, it is included in our Multilingual CMS license instead: https://wpml.org/purchase/
I got an email charging me for renewal. Due to Covid19, the Nonprofit organization is no longer in business so I will like to stop the services, and please return the money. Thank you very much,
Hi mercedes, in our case we have to translate all the blog and the articles. For the new articles i inderstand that are included 12.00 words for free that means that it’s in all languages that we want to translate. What about the old articles? in our case is hughe . thanks
Hello.
We have are going to create a website of technology products and we are looking for solution to make it as multi language website.
Your service provides only automatic translation or also a human?
Can I see some examples of the websites that are using WPML and to see the quality of automatic translation from English to Russian, Italian, German, Spanish?
Thanks
WPML allows you not only automatic translation, but also human translation or connect your WP with any of our professional Translation services. https://wpml.org/translation-service/
Hello.
I manage a real estate website which I want to translate through WPML. I already puchased it.
As I already have a large base of listings registered, I would like to know if it is possible to translate its facilities (building type, rooms, floors etc.) automatically ? So that I translate facilities words into Russian and Armenian and it changes for all registered at once? Or I have to translate the same words vor each listing?
Your response would help me a lot bc I have over 800 listings and it would be very inconvenient to translate the facitilies one by one.
Thank you in advance.
We should know how your site was build, however, I guess those facilities should be a custom field or a taxonomy from your theme. That being said, once you translate it, it should apply for all your listings.
Prior to bung the WPML I need to be sure that it will solve the issue we’re currently encountering. We integrated a payment gateway in our website. When the customer clicks on the “PAY” button on the Checkout page, he is redirected to a separate payment gateway page, then after entering his card details and successful payment the Woocommerce Thank you page opens. The issue is that we’re using the TranslatePress, and after clicking on the “PAY” button on the Checkout page the payment gateway page above doesn’t open in TranslatePress and therefore we are not able to translate neither the payment gateway page nor the Woocommerce Thank you page. Will WPML solve this issue?
It would depend on how your gateaway was built, if it multilingual ready, it should work fine with our WooCommerce Multilingual. However, everything that is outside WordPress, can’t be translated by WPML. So, it should be possible for the “Thank you” page but if the gateaway page it nos a WordPress page, it can’t be translated.
Hello, will this work with a custom theme? There are certain pieces of text on our site that can be accessed from the WP Admin dashboard, and others that are part of the theme. Thank you!
If your theme has followed the guides to be multilingual ready, it should work without any issue. 🙂
However, keep in mind that our support is limited regarding custom code.
I am making a 3-languge website in WordPress. My original is in English and the other 2 are in 2 different Chinese. However, the English and Chinese contents have some difference.
1. Can I directly modify the translated Chinese pages with Elementor to add some other contents?
2. If I delete some contents in English, will it affects other translated pages?
I cannot find that option on your website, can I have a lifetime license ? I don’t think I am comfortable with annual payment as it is an expense for me
The website I manage is currently running on the Hungarian language.
We purchased a lot of Yith plugins, and their support suggested the WPML plugin to use for multi-currency.
My question is:
All of our prices are entered in Euros. This is the base currency of the website, and every products price is entered in euros with up to 4 decimals. We do not want to add another language currently. On the front-end, checkout, billing and invoices generated by a third-party plugin all the currencies must be displayed in Hungarian Forints rounded up without decimals, without the option for the user to select another display currency.
Is your plugin capable of doing that without adding another language and with leaving the base currency in Woocommerce as Euros?
Can you help in setting up the plugin to work like that after purchasing it?
When you work with WPML, you need to install at least 2 languages as it works with a pair of languages, original and translation. However, you could hide the one that you don’t need and overcome this obstacle.
On the other hand, you could set all your products in Euros and display them in Hungarian Forints when we are talking about the basic features of WooCommerce. However, you also mention that you work with another third-party, thus, you should check if it is in our compatibility list. https://wpml.org/documentation/plugins-compatibility/
As you can see, it seems that it should work, but it would better that you install our WPML in your test site and try it during the 30 days purchase period and verify if that is the tool you are looking for.
“On the other hand, you could set all your products in Euros and display them in Hungarian Forints when we are talking about the basic features of WooCommerce.”
For this feature we will need to purchase the “Multilingual CMS” version?
Hi,
A service provider installed the wpml plugin and it is not registered on my website. Looks nulled plugin to me. When I try to register it takes me to Add new plugin page and looks for Commercial tab but that tab is not there.
What should I do? I am looking to purchase the agency plan for unlimited websites. Please help.
I’m afraid that you should buy a WPML license in order to successfully register our plugin in your site. Once you have your license, I also recommend you download a fresh WPML version and reinstall it. https://wpml.org/purchase/
Could you please tell me which is your service provider?
Hello Sandeep,
Can you let me know a possible name or e-mai address used to register the account or the url where WPML is/was registered? Can you send the details here? https://wpml.org/home/contact-us/
I had your plugin on my website. By mistake, after 1 year I paid the renewal. After that i asked for the refund of the renewal. You refunded my, but i lost the plugin on my website.
Hello Miguel,
After the refund is processed you should be able to keep using WPML files as they are installed on your site, but without receiving updates or support. Note there may be compatibility issues if you are running an outdated version.
Hi!
Right now my website and blog are in WordPress, but in a few weeks I’m moving my website design and hosting to Showit. I keep blogging in WordPress. Since I’m also blogging in Dutch and English I’m interested in your plugin, but am wondering if it will still work combined with Showit and which WPML version I need. I will only need to for multilingual blogging so I guess the “multilingual blog” will be enough?
Thanks!
Hello Sabine,
WPML is a WordPress plugin exclusively and it will only work on WordPress sites.
To translate your Blog, the Blog version will be enough.
Hi all,
i once had an offer for one time purchase for lifetime access I am cannot find it anymore on the site. This is the only option I am considering getting.
Please let me know how I can purchase that package

I mean once i purchased. Then when it updates what are the features you offer in the updates? When it was last updated? Once Ill download it will consist of all the things so what you offer in updates?
Hello,
we provide about 3 major updates each year (new features, improvements to the UI etc) and a few minor updates in between (such as bug fixes). You can check some examples here: https://wpml.org/category/changelog/
In the same blog category you can also see when we last updated our plugins. Yes, if you install the recent version of WPML (or press “update” for your existing site using WPML, you will get all the recent updates).

Hello…
Currently we have two url domains that are Live right now:
boschcarbide.com (U.S. version of the site)
boschcarbide.ca (Canadian version of the site).
But…our client has informed us that they need to have 3 urls for this site to share with their customers:
boschcarbide.com
boschcarbide.ca/en
boschcarbide.ca/fr
This site is just a ONE page site.
We have the Canadian site boschcaride.ca live BUT our client has informed us that customers will need to be directed to “boschcarbide.ca/en” which will be the actual url that they will share with their customers. Same goes for boschcarbide.ca/fr.

Hello Shawna,
You’ve come to the right place. Check here https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/#language-url-format
If the site is only one page, the Blog version will be enough. You can try WPML for 30 days and if it does not suit your needs we will refund you.
Kind regards,
Thank you for your response.
Hello there,
If you are planning to translate a Divi theme, our Multilingual CMS license is the right choice. You can find more information about it in the following link:
https://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/divi-builder/

hello,
I am interested in this plugin. However, I was wondering if the plugin will allow duplicate slugs and won’t add the language code in the URL.
For instance:
domain.com/en-gb/xxx
domain.com/en-us/xxx
or if I can change those to us and gb and add them at the end of the URL
Hello there,
A setup as you intend should be possible with WPML.
You should consider that your should create your languages to fit your requirements:
https://wpml.org/documentation/support/editing-wpmls-languages-table/

On the main features it is not mentioned, therefor i just want to confirm if WPML has the feature of multicurrencies for Woocommerce?
Hello Tarig,
Yes, our WooCommerce Multilingual will allow you to do so as explained in the following documentation:

Hello Jerome,
Yes, when you translate a WooCommerce shop using our WooCommerce Multilingual, it creates an entry in your database for every product translation. In that way, you can have an unique URL and work your SEO accordingly.

We have an ecommerce site that has 10,000 plus products . We are running our store on woocommerce.

Hello there,
Yes, you can use our batch translation tool as explained in the following link:

About your second question, WPML always will need a pair of languages in order to work correctly. Thus, if you only need to display your Chinese site, you can install English and Chinese but hide your English language within WPML options.

Hi Gloria,

Best,
Hi. I use WPML for different clients. However, I bumped on this https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/free-words-per-month/
What is this? Is it trustworthy? How it works? Does it provide accurate translations for posts:
1. From English to other languages
2. From English to Greek specifically?
Can you direct us? As far as I know, the “google translations” or any other auto-translations are not considered quality translations.
Need to know more as to decide in which projects to use this.
Hello Christos,
As you may know, WPML offers different translation methods. One of them is automatic translation. We offer 12,000 words for free. You can try it and see if it fits your needs. You can choose between Microsoft and Google translation, released today https://wpml.org/announcements/2020/08/introducing:-advanced-translation-editor-integration-with-google-translate-and-deepl/
Best regards,

Hi Nuno,
The free words are calculated across all languages, so if you have an article of 6,000 words and translate it to 2 different languages this amounts to 12,000 words.
You can see the pricing if you need more automatic translation words here https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/
Kind regards,
Hi mercedes, Thanks. In stage 1 we need to translate all the content of blog. so we need to buy if it’s more than 12,000 words., right?
Hi Nuno,
Yes, you can start with the free 12,000 words and then purchase more automatic translation words if you need it.

Hi,
I am looking for a solution to translate Elementor based website, from Hebrew (RTL) to English (LTR).
I saw your rundown of how this works with German/Eng, but that’s easier, since they’re both on the same side….
Do you know if this would work with Heb-Eng?
And if so, would the LRT/RTL issue be ok?
+ do you have examples maybe?
THANK YOU!
Hello,
WPML works with Elementor and it supports Hebrew as well. Here’s our showcase: https://wpml.org/showcase/ – but I’m not sure if we have an Elementor-based site in Hebrew there. If your theme supports RTL, you shouldn’t have any issues.
