  1. שלום, אני מתפעלת אתר שמישהו אחר בנה. הופיעו לי הודעות כי עליי לעדכן את התוספים שלכם אך אינני יודעת את המפתח רכישה. כמו כן אני צריכה שהאתר יופיע בארבע שפות. מהי החבילה שאני צריכה לרכוש והאם היא עבור ארבעת התוספים? ולכמה זמן?
    אשמח לעזרה בהקדם. תודה

      • Thanks Agnes. I am heading for the idea that I would use WPML to handle most translation except for languages where I have colleagues/co-workers to whom I can delegate things for them to manage in their own way in a subsite. As I see it the main site, i.e. the multisite primary site would be https://www.coresystemtrust.org.uk/ and would use WPML to put translated content into directories like https://www.coresystemtrust.org.uk/es/ but I would have a whole subsite https://www.coresystemtrust.org.uk/espagnol/ which wouldn’t be using WPML and would be entirely in Spanish and written and managed by my Spanish colleagues. Does that sound sensible to you?

If so my only question is: I am working on a sandbox multisite at the moment. I think the next step is for me to install WPML on that (presumably only in the primary site not as a multisite activated plugin) and then I can get to see if it works for me within your (30 day?) return period … assuming that WPML was what I wanted and we are scrapping the sandbox (or converting it by renaming/transfer) to replace the current site, would the one licence I’d have bought? Hm, probably a non-issue as I think I’d be buying the CMS version so I’d be covered for three sites and only have one at the moment. I guess there’s a corollary question: any likely problems with WPML if I am converting the sandbox? My ISP have done this for me in the past.

        TIA,

        Chris

        • Thank you for more details Chris. Now I have a better understanding of your setup. If your plan is to turn your main site into a multilingual one, then you need to enable WPML plugin(s) only for that site. The subfolders will be created automatically by WPML.

Yes, better to test it out on your sandbox multisite. You would need to use only one registration key. Then you can remove the key and use that “slot” again, to generate a key for your production site. I’m not sure what you mean by “converting the sandbox”.

          • That was fast. The sandbox/trial site is multisite and I will install WPML as a single, not multisite, plugin on the primary site there: as you say (just clarifying). What I meant by “converting the sandbox” was that in the past my ISP have converted things. I think their process was to (1) take the current site offline, (2) change all references in the sandbox WP instance database that point it to the sandbox URL to point to the main site URL, (3) delete the directory structure of the old main site and rename/copy the sandbox directory into there, (4) start that WP instance running. People coming to the main site URL will now see what was the sandbox WP at that URL but with all links etc. correctly reassigned. I think the only likely issue is if WPML stores anything about the site identity and base URL in the databases in a way that the ISP wouldn’t see it combing through the db. Is that clearer? My hunch from looking at your documentation is that you try very hard not to do things that would be breaking other things so I suspect it would work fine but I thought I would ask. Very best, TIA again! Chris

  2. Hello,
Why am I paying every year 70 USD to renew my WPML subscription?

My understanding was 39 USD to renew the service.

    Please clarify your prices,

    Thank you
    David.

  3. I have transferred the license to my client (https://cpwd.org, user ). I no longer need the software. They have paid the renewal and I’ve logged in to their account. I cannot get support. I click on Open a New Ticket and I get a message that says I need to log in, but I’m already logged in. My user is micheleW-3, hers is margaretC-2.

Can you please help me? Your plugin is breaking my client’s site. I went to update it yesterday and it took my site offline, the WordPress error log says that it is your plugin that is causing issues.

    Thank you.

    • Hello Michele,
I’m not sure if we provide support for accounts that were transferred to your clients. This might be the reason why you cannot open a new ticket. Let me check with our developers and admins who know the specifics of transference accounts. I’ll keep you posted.

    • both users have no active subscriptions.

The margaretC-2 user has a pending order created 12 hours ago that is waiting for payment.
      – It’s for a Blog subscription and not for an end-user subscription.

How about if you try to send the link again to your client?

As soon as a subscription is paid, I think that the user will have access to the forum.

  4. Hi,

I want to update our company’s billing information, but even if I have updated the email address in my account, when I proceed to adding payment details in WPML the old email is shown which no one has access to it anymore as the previous employee has left the company.

    How this can be solved?

  5. I still can’t continue with my site. I have Multilangual CMS, but I cannot get a ‘key’ for registering extra url’s. Can you help me?

  6. Dear wpml team,

I would like to purchase your Multilingual CMS packet. However, you say that I need pay every year 59$. If I do not want pay every year 59$ ( only 79$ during buy), my site will stop working or I could not only get updates and support in the second year?

    Best regards,
    Nikos

  7. I’m about to develop a multilanguage website, what would happen to the website once the year finishes and I don’t renew, would the site stop to work or I just simply don’t get further updates and support?

    thanks

    • Hello Tiago,
If you don’t renew you can keep using the files as they are installed on your site but without receiving updates or support.

      Kind regards,

  8. Hi, I’m developing a WordPress website and before I have the following questions:
    1. If I use WPML Multilingual Blog for $29.00, will it be compatible with RankMath SEO plugin?
    2. If I use WPML Multilingual Blog for $29.00, will I be able to exclude specific post types from having a [unique lingual slug]?
    3. If I use the WPML Multilingual CMS for $79.00, will it be compatible with RankMath SEO plugin?
    4. If I use WPML Multilingual Blog for $29.00, will I be able to exclude specific post types from having a [unique lingual slug]?
    5. If I use WPML Multilingual Blog for $29.00, will I be able to translate my site into a subdomain instead of a subdirectory?
    6. If I use the WPML Multilingual CMS for $79.00, will I be able to translate my site into a subdomain instead of a subdirectory?

  9. Hello guys, I have pre-sale question? I have a single client who would obviously benefit from the cheapest Multilingual Blog pack (very small site), but it says that it does not support Page Builders. If I am building with Elementor, and I want to translate the site, do I always have to use the 79$ plan for all sites? Thanks for help!

  10. Hi, I have an expired “Multilingual CMS” account using only 2 of the 3 sites allowed. Now I wanted to add the third site and I can’t. Is that not possible?

    • Hello Giuseppe,
I am afraid you cannot register new sites without an active subscription. The subscription key is used to receive updates automatically on your site.

      Kind regards,

  11. Hello,

I would like to ask, is it possible, with wpmnl, to detect from the visitors ip location and automatically display local language, by the visitor ip?
If I can use the wpml, how this could be (with plugin settings, with an extra plugin to connect with wpml, with an extra custom code) and create the automatically the translation (without my need to translate in every language)?
And also can I have support, even if I need an extra custom code?

    Thank you in advance!

    • Hello John,
WPML includes a browser languare redirection feature https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/automatic-redirect-based-on-browser-language/
It also offers automatic translation as one of the translation methods https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/. It has a separate cost from WPML subscription.
We offer support through our forum from our professional team, this is included in the WPML subscription https://wpml.org/forums/forum/english-support/

      kind regards,

      • Hello Mercedes,

        Thank you for your answer.
So can not translate the site by visitor’s ip, but only with visitor’s browser language, I understood correctly?
I would like to ask something more:
        1) If the above applies, then there should be exist the translate for the browser language that user chosen (for example if the user set browser language in greek and the site is no translation in greek, then it shouldn’t appear the greek translation automatic, but I have to create the translation), am I right?
        2) In automatic translation, I have 12000 free and after 12000 there is a cost and the cost have to paid every month?

        Thank you in advance!

        • Hello, Mercedes is not around so let me step in and help.
          >So can not translate the site by visitor’s ip, but only with visitor’s browser language, I understood correctly?
          That’s correct.
          >1)
Providing translations is something independent from automatic redirections. When you use WPML, you can either provide your own translations or you can first use machine translations and then update them manually. If you want to use machine translations, you need to enable our special editor called ATE.
          >2)
That’s correct. But you pay only for the words you used.

      • Hello Mercedes,

        Thank you for your answer.
I would like to ask something more.
From your answer I understand, that there is no other way, but to choose the translate redirection by the visitor’s browser language, if I understood correctly.
I have found this plugin https://codecanyon.net/item/wpml-redirect-based-on-ip-country/18074869 and I would like to ask if is it compatible with wpml and can make automatic translates, or I have to create the translates first by my own?
(Or this plugin is not compatible with wpml and the only way is to set the translate by the visitor’s browser language)?
If the only way is the visitor’s browser language, then the translate must exist and not create automatically (for example if the visitor’s browser language is greek and the site is not translated in greek then there is no way to translated automatic the site in greek, but I have to do it by my own first), am I right?
In the automatic translation there is an offer 12000 words for free and after this number there is a cost and this cost must be paid every month?

        Thank you in advance!

        • Hello John,
your previous question was awaiting moderation. I have just replied.
It seems that redirections matter to you but honestly speaking these are overrated so to speak. What matters most is the content and as long as your site provides good quality content, Google and other search engines will index your site properly and no redirections will be needed because your potential visitors will get a site in their language directly from Google. The best approach would be to use machine translations to speed up the process of translating but then update those manually to provide a better quality of your content, which matters the most.

  12. Hello!

I am a freelance developer that wants to purchase this plugin, however, since I create a lot of websites for multiple clients with their own WordPress accounts, I wanted to know if I can purchase the CMS plan and install this PlugIn across as many clients as I want, or if it’s limited to just one WordPress Account.

If it is possible to install this PlugIn to as many accounts as I would need, which plan do you recommend?

    • Hello Anthony,
the Multilingual Agency package (The complete solution for agencies, building many multilingual websites) will have your case covered.

        • We don’t have an official limit on the number of sites that you can create with an Agency package, but we do verify that clients create sites for themselves or for their clients only. If you’re a very busy agency and you’re building dozens of sites for your clients, the Agency package is exactly for you.

The main thing I need to know is if I can upload this plugin to many accounts and which plan i should purchase to accomplish this goal.

    Thank you

    • Hi again,
your previous comment was awaiting moderation. I’ve just replied. Sorry for the delay, we don’t work on the weekend.

  14. “I think the problem is not the monthly, it is the initial automatic translation. Is the plugin available in Demo mode which does not do the translation but counts and gives you an estimate?”

    your reply on 10/9/20:
“We don\’t have a demo site for WPML but we use WPML on our demo for Toolset. You can try to test it here: Go here: 1. https://discover-wp.com/site-types/gyms-and-trainers/ 2. Create a test site – Make sure you are choosing the \”The site will be multilingual\” (without this you won\’t see WPML plugins on your site) 3. Log into your copy 4. Go to WPML -> Settings 5. Switch to our ATE editor (which provides machine translations) by selecting \”Use WPML\’s Advanced Translation Editor\” 6. Go to WPML -> Translation Management -> Translation Tools 7. Click claim words 8. Go to \”The Fitness Trends That Changed the world\” and click the + icon under your language. If you want to test it with a different language, please add your language first by going to WPML -> Languages -> Add/Remove Languages Now, we also allow to choose Google instead of MS Azure.”

Unfortunately this is not very helpful and complicated. Don’t you have anything to estimate the initial automatic translation in 5 languages?
I would really like to know upfront what my costs are going to be before I switch to WPML.

    thanks

    • Hello,
I’m sorry but we don’t have anything else to estimate the initial automatic translation for your case, which is, let me quote your initial inquiry: “How much would be the initial translation on about 350 posts and 20 pages for 4 additional languages? (it, de, es, fr) en is the default”

To get a rough estimation of words used on your page, you can use this website:
      https://wordcounter.net/website-word-count

and then multiple the number returned by the number from this table:
      https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/

or you can check more of your pages to get an estimate of how many words your pages use on average and then multiple that number of the price from our table.

Please note that once your page is translated, you won’t be charged again since the translations are saved in your database (unless you decide to update the content and use some new words when doing so).

      I hope it helps.

    • Hello, You can buy WPML and right after buying it cancel your subscription and you will still be able to use our plugins. After the first year, you will lose access to new releases and our support forum in that case.

  15. Hello! I would like to know if WPML is fully compatible with WordPress Oxygen builder? Is there any way for me to try WPML plugin before buying it?

    Greetings
