Hi,
i have woocommerce shop with “Premmerce Permalink Manager for WooCommerce”. will they all work properly together?
Also i have a test site where i’m building new site from scratch. New site will be bi-lingual (estonian and russian, maybe later english) after new site is ready i want to move it to main site with “WP Clone by WP Academy”. Will wpml work afterword on my main site? Will I be able to use wpml also on my test site?
we have a website,
the site that we have three development environment,
there are local site, staging site, live site,
staging and live site are same domain,
staging site use subdomain,
can the multilingual blog plan be used at three sites at the same time?
If I make all content of my site into my desired language right away, and use the plugin for the content I cant change myself, will the plugin see the correct language and leave it alone and translate what is that the desired language?
I am worried that if I leave the language in default while starting with the plugin, that the translated will not be perfect and it would be smart to add as much as possible myself
Hello,
when you use WPML nothing happens automatically. First, you need to take an action and translate your pages. You can use machine translations to speed up the process of translating. Please check this video: https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/advanced-translation-editor/
it will help you better understand how it works.
I am currently using the free version of translatepress plugin for my new property website properties.direct
Once it is up and running properly I intended to buy the full version and start adding a number of different languages to the site.
At the moment I am using Turkish and English (English is the primary language) and it is working fine. However some of the users are Turkish speaking so they will be adding their property listings in Turkish. This doesn’t then translate back to English if someone then looks at the property using the site in English. I have now found out that their plugin only translates from the default language (in this case English)
This is very problematic for me because in the future I will have people adding properties in more than two languages and I need a plugin that can translate from all languages into all languages.
Can you please tell me if WPML is capable of meeting my websites needs?
Hello Peter,
WPML allows you to add content in non-primary (non-English) language first and then translate it into English but please note that WPML doesn’t translate your site automatically. You need to provide the translations. You can also use machine translations to speed up the translation process but you need to apply those translations on the backend first as explained in this video: https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/advanced-translation-editor/
Hello,
thank you for your interest in WPML. No, we don’t have any “middle” option. You can either buy the Blog version or the CMS versions, which can be used for 1, 2 or 3 sites.
Hello,
to translate all elements of your sites you will need the Multilingual CMS package but please note that WPML doesn’t translate your site automatically. You can use machine translations to speed up your translation process but you need to select the pages and other elements that you want to translate and “send” it to our ATE editor as explained in this video: https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/advanced-translation-editor/
Here’s the list of languages with supported automatic translation: https://ate.wpml.org/mt_langs
(in case you would like to use our ATE editor, which I mentioned in my previous answer).
Hello Isabel,
I am sorry for this. The invoice is pending payment, which means we have not charged you for it. You need to log in to your account and you will find a button to pay for it. Go to your Payment history and invoices page and you will find the invoice there. Click View order and you will find the button to pay and proceed to checkout.

I’m using WCFM multi vendor market plugin in which i want to use Arabic language. I need Both fields English and Arabic. On add product I want to insert both Arabic and English. And on frontend I need only 1 Language to display on client demand. I don’t want to convert all my site language I just want to translate only that fields that I have added. Is your plugin is providing that functionality?
Hello,
Thank you for your interest in Toolset. I’m trying to better understand what you need to achieve. What do you mean by “translate only that fields that I have added.” Can you please give me some examples of the fields? Or do you mean products? Thank you.
In the meantime, I contacted our compatibility team and they say that this plugin has not been tested for compatibility with WPML but also your request turns out to be pure custom work, which means the compatibility with the plugin won’t do that. Sorry I didn’t have better news.
I am the owner of greekdances.org which is built in the context of a non-profit organization. Does WPML offer the full plugin to NGOs free of charge? if yes, what is the process?
Does the woocommerce plugin allow for sending orders to individual distributors? For example, a multi-lingual commerce site that processes and forwards orders to each relevant country. So an order on the German version of the site gets sent to the German distributors email for processing….if this makes sense? Thank you.
Hello Simon,
Thank you for your interest in WPML. I’m not sure if I understand your question. I will consult your inquiry with my colleagues from the WooCommerce Multilingual team but in the meantime let me explain what WPML does in the WooCommerce context. WPML is a translation plugin that allows you to translate your WooCommerce products (and all related information such as cart and checkout pages) and into other languages and use multiple currencies. WPML doesn’t forward orders to countries (I’m not sure what you actually mean by that). I’m not sure what are German distributors either. I’m afraid WPML won’t help you to achieve what you need but let me check your questions with my team to see how they understand your questions.
We are interested in purchasing your plug in as we are creating a US site and a French site based off our original UK site.
We just want to understand if it is possible to auto change from metric measurements to imperial measurement?
Does this plug in also auto adjust other sizes that differ between the countries like shoe sizes?
Does this also affect measurements in drop downs for example the drop options for products like shoe sizes or material thickness?
We are currently re-designing our current website and the anted to use your WordPress plugin to make it a multiple languages. I have a W-9 form in case you need it. Let me know if you need anything else:
Sports Friends works with churches and youth in 19 countries across Africa, Asia and the Americas, transforming lives and strengthening communities through sports ministry. We are a ministry of the international mission organisation SIM (www.sim.org). SIM is the parent organization and Sports Friends is the sports ministry department. I can send you SIM’s W-9 form which states that they are a “nonprofit exempt under IRS Code 501(c)3”. “Sports Friends” is the sports ministry department of SIM, so we fall under them legally. Let me know if I can provide any further info.
We’re planning on using WPML. Can we install WPML on the directory for our English site alone? Does it require a separate directory for the spanish translation or should we set up a separate directory for spanish and install WPML there?
I am looking for a plugin that redirects the user to the website in the language as set by his browser. I read WPML can do this. But reading the features and purchase information, it seems WPML is made for much more, which I definitely do not need.
Is there a way to just use the redirection part?
Yes thats exactly what I was talking about. However, I fail to find the offer that doesnt include all of the unneeded things such as translation.
Can you direct me to that ‘blog subscirption’ you mentioned, which does not contain all these extras?
1. Is it possible to enable *automatic translation* for all posts across all blog? Or we need to apply an *automatic translate* (with a click) for every single sentence?
2. What happens if we *update or add some sentences* to an existing, already-translated post?
3. Is there any way to see a list of *all missing translations* for a language?
4. Is there any way to see a list of all automatic translations for manual approval?
5. When you use *automatic translations* on sentences that contain bold, italic, links, etc. does WPML translate the sentence as a whole? Or it translates the text inside each tag separately? Our current solution for example (not WPML) translates each text separately thus resulting in poor translations that need to be fixed manually every time… and it’s a pain.
I had already read that page: I can’t find an answer to my questions and that’s the reason why I have contacted you. Can you please give an answer to my *specific questions* above? That would be appreciated.
1. Is it possible to enable *automatic translation* for all posts across all blog? Or we need to apply an *automatic translate* (with a click) for every single sentence?
No, it won’t happen automatically with one click. You need to pick which posts you want to “send” to translation and apply the machine translations for them.
2. What happens if we *update or add some sentences* to an existing, already-translated post?
You will get an indication that the original post has changed and you can retranslate what you need.
3. Is there any way to see a list of *all missing translations* for a language?
Not sure what you mean here. This is the link with languages: https://ate.wpml.org/mt_langs
4. Is there any way to see a list of all automatic translations for manual approval?
Sorry, I don’t understand your question.
5. When you use *automatic translations* on sentences that contain bold, italic, links, etc. does WPML translate the sentence as a whole? Or it translates the text inside each tag separately? Our current solution for example (not WPML) translates each text separately thus resulting
WPML is smart here and it will recognize the special characters and formatting and you will be able to translate only the actual texts.
I still have some doubts about the above questions… I’ll try to be more clear.
2. When a post is updated, but the translations for the edited / new sentences are not available, what happens? Are the new sentences displayed in the original / non-translated language? Or the previous version of the post is displayed?
3. Is there a global way to see all non-translated sentences across all blog posts? Or you always need to open a specific blog post in order to translate it?
5. Ok perfect, I see that WPML supports the HTML tags inside sentences very well. However my question was more specific: when you apply *automatic translation* to a sentence that contains HTML, let’s say a link or bold… does WPML translate the text of each tag separately (sends separate request to Google Translate) or translate the sentence as a whole (sends only one request to Google Translate with the whole HTML of the sentence)? This results in very different quality of automatic translations
2. The users will see the “previous” version. Nothing will happen automatically. In WPML all the translation work is done on the backend first by a user.
3. Non-translated sentences? No. Posts that are already translated are marked with a special flag, which you can see on your list of posts on the backend. https://wpml.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/wpml-translation-icons.png
5. It translates the sentence as a whole
1. Does WPML works with elementor’s theme builder with single, archive and 404 error templates?
2. Doe WPML supports elementor’s elements: call to action, posts, nav menu, gallery
3. When using elementor’s posts element, does it automatically pulls in the posts within the selected language of a user?
4. Does WPML supports images element? I see you can do language based media but what if u insert this media using image component in elementor?
5. Is it possible to hide or show specific component using elementor UI, or using shortcode? For example show #1 call to action component in english language and #2 call to action component in spanish language? All within the same page.
6. What are the options to translate in case some of the components are not translatable within WPML?
1. I did check this page. I couldn’t find call to action, posts, nav menu, gallery modules so wanted to ask either if it was updated or they are still not supported. If not supported is there any work around around this, what are the options?
2. I see that single and archive templates are mentioned, what about 404 error?
Still these questions are not answerable for me (based on the research I did but maybe you can point me to to the right resource :), I ask kindly for the reply, thank you:
1- Yes. When you create any Elementor’s theme builder template, you’ll be able to translate it using WPML’s translation editors and on frontend, WPML will take care of showing the right template.
2- Yes, WPML support all widgets in Elementor and we have an easy way to register custom widgets from other Elementor addons.
3- Yes.
4- Yes. By default, WPML will display the same image uploaded to the image widget in the other languages. If you want to display another image, you can translate that specific image using WPML’s Media Translation plugin.
5- No. This can be done using third-parties Elementor addons to hide/show specific widgets.
I used WPML with a subscription before and 1 issue was never fixed (so I’m hesitating to buy it again and thinking to replace it actually). The element “” doesn’t have the same background colour as my website, and it’s ugly. Is there a way to fix this? Is there a way to make it the same backgroud colour as my background colour?
Hello Marina.
Do you have a link to your support ticket with the full description of the problem? What you are describing is something too specific to give you yes/no answer in pre-sales questions.
Hello,
I need plugin that will allow me to chose language and currency for my wocommerce site, i want to use more languages English,Turkey, Macedonian,Spanish, Italian, Portugal etc (almost all) but i want to allow the user to select language and currency from one switcher on front end, DOes this plugin will do it for me
I have an Indian e-commerce website that I want to have in multiple languages. I want to know:
1. what are the products I need to purchase and their costs
2. what are the Indian languages that are supported
Thanks
Hellow,
1. Translating to 6-8 languages.
You can add any language to WPML but if you are interested in machine translation, please check this list: https://ate.wpml.org/mt_langs because not all languages are supported.
2. You can enable automatic redirections in WPML and it will redirect the user according to the language she has set in her browser. But this often is not needed because users come from search engines (Google etc) and if they search in their language, Google will provide a direct URL to their pages in that language.
3. This is a bit more complex, this page explains it: https://wpml.org/tutorials/2016/04/use-wpml-different-domains-per-language/
I’d like to buy a WPML for Woocommerce but I’m not sure how subscriptions work. If I will buy a plugin with one year subscription for updates and support do I have to buy a second year of updates and support? I mean if I will not extend subscription, will be WPML still working on my site or will stop working immediately? Thank you, Tomas.
We are looking to add WPML to our site that’s currently in development. We want to purchase the most Multilingual Blog package. What we want to do first is install it on our localhost WAMP server to try out how it works before moving onto the site when it goes live.
Is this possible?
I ask because the Blog package only allows installation to a single site.
Hello Yannis,
You are welcome to try WPML first on the development site and then remove this url and register the new url. You can do this as much as you want, as long as the subscription is active.

Hello,
yes, we are compatible with Premmerce Permalink Manager for WooCommerce:

Yes, your site will work after moving it to a new domain/server.
Yes, you can also use WPML on your test site.

Yes, you can but two of those sites won’t be registered (registration is needed to receive the plugin updates directly from the WordPress admin).

Hi,
WPML includes several features, including language browser redirection https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/automatic-redirect-based-on-browser-language/
If you buy the Blog subscription it will be enough for your needs. It allows you to register the core plugin on one site only.

Hello!
I am considering WPML and I have some questions:
Hello Marco,

https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/advanced-translation-editor/
Let me know of any further specific questions.
I had already read that page: I can’t find an answer to my questions and that’s the reason why I have contacted you. Can you please give an answer to my *specific questions* above? That would be appreciated.
Hello,
let me help out here:
1. Is it possible to enable *automatic translation* for all posts across all blog? Or we need to apply an *automatic translate* (with a click) for every single sentence?
No, it won’t happen automatically with one click. You need to pick which posts you want to “send” to translation and apply the machine translations for them.

Not sure what you mean here. This is the link with languages:

Sorry, I don’t understand your question.
5. When you use *automatic translations* on sentences that contain bold, italic, links, etc. does WPML translate the sentence as a whole? Or it translates the text inside each tag separately? Our current solution for example (not WPML) translates each text separately thus resulting
WPML is smart here and it will recognize the special characters and formatting and you will be able to translate only the actual texts.
If you want to speed up your translation process you can also try this workflow:
https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatically-translating-multiple-translation-jobs-in-bulk/
Thanks for the kind reply.
I have couple of questions:

Hello Lukasz, Ahmed replied to all your questions, please see his answers here: https://wpml.org/purchase/pre-sales-questions/comment-page-435/#comment-3784731
Hi Lukas,
Let me help you with those questions.
6- You can either register them as an XML in WPML’s settings as explained in this doc
https://wpml.org/documentation/support/language-configuration-files/how-to-register-page-builder-widgets-for-translation/
or use the manual translation method by creating a page for each language as explained in this doc
https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/using-different-translation-editors-for-different-pages/
Thanks!
My question was more in regard to
5- No. This can be done using third-parties Elementor addons to hide/show specific widgets.
showing hiding elements based on language user selected. Not generally. Any options available?
I don’t think so. Sorry!
Hello,
I used WPML with a subscription before and 1 issue was never fixed (so I’m hesitating to buy it again and thinking to replace it actually). The element “” doesn’t have the same background colour as my website, and it’s ugly. Is there a way to fix this? Is there a way to make it the same backgroud colour as my background colour?
Thank you
Hello Marina.
Do you have a link to your support ticket with the full description of the problem? What you are describing is something too specific to give you yes/no answer in pre-sales questions.

Hello Maja, yes, this is what WPML can do.
I have an Indian e-commerce website that I want to have in multiple languages. I want to know:
1. what are the products I need to purchase and their costs
2. what are the Indian languages that are supported
Thanks
Hello Mohamed,
1. You need the Multilingual CMS package.
2. If you want to translate your products manually, you can use any language. Here’s the list of the default ones: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/pre-configured-languages/ but you can add more languages.
If you want to use machine translations, please check this list: https://ate.wpml.org/mt_langs
Hi I have a question. I have a website that I want translated into 6-8 languages. We own all domains that we want new languages on. So my question is.
Can we set up wpml so that when visitor come to their own domain like this: People from Germany comes to http://www.silentdecor.de
How can I set up in wpml so that every language has its own domain?
Hellow,
1. Translating to 6-8 languages.
You can add any language to WPML but if you are interested in machine translation, please check this list:
https://ate.wpml.org/mt_langs because not all languages are supported.
Hello,
I’d like to buy a WPML for Woocommerce but I’m not sure how subscriptions work. If I will buy a plugin with one year subscription for updates and support do I have to buy a second year of updates and support? I mean if I will not extend subscription, will be WPML still working on my site or will stop working immediately? Thank you, Tomas.
Hello Tomas, yes, it will work but you won’t have access to new versions and our support forum.
Hi,
We are looking to add WPML to our site that’s currently in development.
Kind regards,
