Yes, both features are available in all WPML packages. WPML stores all translations in your database and this makes it easy to get indexed by search engines and you can control (edit) the URLs as well in all languages.
I would like to renew the Multilingual Blog license but the system does not allow it and sends me back to the download page for the previous purchase which expires in 23 days, what should I do? can it be renewed only upon expiry? but the system allows me to renew only the WPML Multilingual Agency license which I don’t want to renew. Help me
I can see you have the Multilingual Agency package, not the Multilingual Blog… I have checked your account with the email you posted this comment with. Please let me know if you have another account with a different email.
Hello WPML team, my name is Jermaine Glenn Procurement Analyst for SAS Institute Inc. We have current subscription with OnTheGoSystems using WPML. This subscription should be under user Lisa Linn Allen. With our process we require a PDF quote in order for us to update credit card information for this renewal. Can you please provide me with a quote for this subscription renewal? The actual purchase was using credit card from Chris Yates who is no longer with SAS and I will need to update that credit card information to myself.
Hi Rodolfo,
I just issued you the refund for the upgrade. You currently have a Blog subscription, which allows you to register 1 site.
You will need to upgrade to the CMS again, if you are interested in registering a second site.
I’m thinking to buy wpml but I would like to understand what happens if I didn’t renew or something like that? Would I only lose updates or it would be removed from my website or another kind of restriction?
Hello,
you won’t lose your translations and your site will still work and you can even use the plugins you have installed. But you won’t be able to open new tickets on our support forum and you won’t get updates.
I was hoping to clarify the licensing situation regarding Multisite installs. Do we need one license for the entire network, activated on the main site for updates? Or does each child site count as a licensed site?
Does it make a difference whether they’re subfolder sites or subdomain sites?
You need the Multilingual CMS package ($99). It includes all the plugins you need to make your WooCommerce site multilingual with multi currency and it allows you tto use WPML on 3 productions sites (and 9 test sites).
If i purchase the Agency package with automatic translation. Will the translation be like the google translate? or will they be professional done? How does that work?
Machine translations (if enabled) are coming from the following translation engines:
– Google
– DeepL
– Miscrosoft
Please check the list of languages: https://ate.wpml.org/mt_langs
I have followed the instructions in your e-mail dated 13th September but I am unable to get past step 3 (Plugins > Add new > Commercial tab). My WordPress installation doesn’t offer this option. Can you offer help on how to complete this? I am also looking to get some answers to other problems that I have that need to be urgently sorted.
Hello,
please let me know if you did the following steps:
1. Go to your WPML account (https://wpml.org/account/sites/)
2. Register your site
3. Copy the key
4. On your WPML site, go to https://wpml.org/account/downloads/ and download the WPML Multilingual CMS plugin to your drive
5. Go to your WP site, plugins > add new and uplaod the plugin you downloaded in step 4
6. Then go to Plugins > Add new > Commercial tab and paste the key you copied in step 3.
Please let me know if you completed all these steps

Hello Phillip, you will need to use only one registration key for your WordPress Multisite (you go to My sites > Network > My plugins and you add the WPML plugin(s) there). The Multilingual CMS package ($99) will suffice (the Blog package doesn’t support WooCommerce).
Hey there, 2 questions:
1, is wpml fully compatible with divi yet?
2, what is support like? I see support is listed as part of value but don’t see any way to contact support, just a bunch of forum links.
Thanks,
John
Hi Agnes,
First of all, thank you for your answer, it was very helpful!
I’d like also clarify the point about further support and development classic translation editor.
Are you going to develop and support classic translation editor or advanced translation editor only?
Thank you in advance.
Regards,
Eugene
We will add new features only to the Advanced Translation Editor and it will be our focus for the new versions but we will keep the Classic Translation Editor. It’s a similar story to the one with WordPress’s classic editor and the Block editor. I will get back to you will more details of what to expect when switching editors when I do more testing.
I am using translatePress plugin and I could not find some features I was expecting to get in a bi/multi lingual plugin. e.g. font alignment and other font settings.
I am using kingster theme by GoodLayers (premium). And they say that their theme is compatible with WPML and is translation ready.
Now please guide me clearly on the following.
1. Does WPML support manual translations?
2. Does it support Urdu.
3. Support for custom Urdu font is available ? i.e. WPML will provide interface to upload custom font file . I have to use a particular font called “Nastaleeq”.
4. WPML will provide interface to set font alignments, line height, letter spacing of Urdu ?
I cannot find the Kingster theme on the list of themes compatible with WPML tested by our Compatibility Team: https://wpml.org/theme/ but I can see on this page:
To answer your other questions:
1. Yes, it does.
2. Yes, it does.
3. Using custom fonts doesn’t have anything to do with WPML. If you need to use a custom font, you need either a plugin that allows you to do this or it is a theme feature. Another option is to handle it via some custom code but this is not the area of WPML.
4. No, font settings don’t belong to WPML’s area.
Hello,
I have some custom post types that should NOT be translated but that should be displayed in every language, ie the post is displayed the same way in french & english, but menus are in the correct language (no redirection to default language!).
Can you confirm that it is possible?
Best,
Théo
Thanks you for reply on October 3rd with further instructions for getting the license validated. Please note that what you wrote is in apparent contradiction with your e-mail of September 13th in which you state “You don\’t need to replace WPML plugins on your site……” If we need to download the plugin it carries a risk of incompatibility with existing plugins. Assuming this is the only course of action available we will make a test set-up of the site and download the plugin to the test installation before going live. Is this the best approach at this stage? Please confirm.
Hello Terry,
Are you referring to my reply to a user with the ivaI-2 nick? Please note that from my point of view these are two separate questions (from Terry and ivaI-2, both posted with different email addresses), and I didn’t associate my previous answer to you with my answers to the other user. If your site already uses WPML, you don’t need to download it again. All you need to do is to copy the key and paste it into your site. But I find it a bit odd that you cannot see the Commercial tab. Are you sure WPML plugins and activated on your site? If so, you should see the Commercial tab. Could you please summarize your current setup and your problem so I can better understand the whole problem? Is your site already using WPML? Which plugins? Are they all activated?
Do I need to buy a license for a new project (different from the ones I already own) do I buy it through this account or do I have to create a new specific for this new client?
Hello Lister,
I see you have a Blog subscription. You are welcome to upgrade to the CMS (3 sites) or Agency (unlimited) subscriptions to register more sites through the same account.
Log in and you will see the option to upgrade for the difference only.
I am using translatePress plugin and I could not find some features I was expecting to get in a bi/multi lingual plugin. e.g. font alignment and other font settings.

1. Yes, you can use manual or automatic translation with WPML.
2. Urdu is not preinstalled with WPML, however you can create it following this tutorial.
3. WPML does not provide you such an interface, however, if WordPress recognises your font, WPML will do it as well.
4. No, WPML provides you an interface to translate your content. If you want to set different alignments, heights… you will need to manually translate your content and user your editor instead of WPML’s.
Dear WPML I would like to buy a single license for production envitornment site but I have the neeed to use an extra license for stage environment (testing and development other plugins and other stuff). Is possible to buy a single license and get an extra license only for stage environment ?
Hi
We are looking to find out if the plugin will work with multi-sites that use subfolders instead of sub domains. Would there be any issues with this setup?
Hi can I translate this website :https://www.virtualancer.com/ in Serbian language? The banners are separate part of website, we add them separate they are not part of wordpress theme, so this banners I can not translate right?
How can I be sure when I add your plug in that everything will work, is there some refund or some developers for price of 99$ that you offer so I can be sure everything will work good?
If you use WPML 4.4.12 (current version), you need to select the pages you want to translate and “send” them to translations (we provide an option to do it in a bulk way). In about a week we will release WPML 4.5, which will provide the “Translate everything” option and when you choose it, you won’t need to do any manual action. Either way, you can translate your content to Japanese.
If your or/and your client consider switching from CTE to ATE, best would be to try this out on a copy of your site, visit a few pages after switching to see what happens.
Greetings,
I have an older version currently on my site – 4.2.5, but when I duplicate a site for translation in a new language, all the attached images are copied, but not holding the specified order. My question is, if I upgrade, will I be able to copy all images from the original post into the tranlsated post in the same order. Thanks!
PS. Some pages and post have a lot of images attached and cearfully specified order.
Greetings,
I find it difficult to understand what you mean by the order of images and when it matters. Could you please be more specific? But I doubt upgrading WPML will help because I cannot recall any update about image orders. But please give me an example of what the order of images matters and then I will get back to you again. Thank you.
Hi !
My site is in English, but some of my pages are in another language, some products too, and I need to be able to display, for example in English, a product created by a French vendor in English.
Ex.
the vendor connects to website.com/fr/dashboard, in automatic translation from English and creates his products in French. If I use a plugin such as gtranslate, when an English speaking person goes on the page of the created products, he will see the product in French even if the rest of the page is in English.
I need… everything to be in English! Is that possible with your plugin?
Hello Stephane,
WPML allows you to make your site multilingual, which means you would have at least two versions of your site, in your case, in English and in French. If someone accesses your site in the French version, everything will be handled in French, if someone uses the English part of your site, everything will be in English (provided your theme and plugins used are compatible with WPML). The same applies to the backend. But I don’t know much about your site and how products are actually created if these are WooCommerce products or your site uses a special plugin to handle vendors.
Thanks for the reply..
so I will try to be more specific:
We have a lot of pages that contain each a lot of images
These images are carefully ordered manually with the default “add media” tool with drag and drop (we are using classic editor)
The order of the images is not saved when we make a translation of the page and copying the images from the source language.
Will the new version keep the manual ordering of the images?
Thank you for your clarification Maximilian. Good you’ve mentioned using the Classic Editor. Now, when fewer people use Classic Editor (and switching to the block editor and page builders) it makes better sense to use WPML’s translation editors (the so-called ATE editor is the best one) to translate your pages. It allows you to focus only on translating the content while the layout of your page (including images) will be the same for all your site languages. Of course we also provide an option to translate the image alts, titles, captions. Since I cannot test the latest WPML on your site how about this: please purchase WPML, you will have 30 days to test it on your site and asking questions on our support forum. If your issue cannot be solved, you can request a refund (here’s the link: https://wpml.org/purchase/refunds/) and keep the latest WPML plugins, so you won’t lose anything and your site will be safer using the latest version of our plugins, matching your recent WordPress.
Hello,
I am trying to understand the difference between the gtranslate and WPML. Can you please let me know if WPML has the following options listed below:
Thanks.
v Search engine indexing
v URL translation
Yes, both features are available in all WPML packages. WPML stores all translations in your database and this makes it easy to get indexed by search engines and you can control (edit) the URLs as well in all languages.

Hello John,
thank you for your interest in WPML.
1. Yes, WPML is compatible with Divi, please check this page: https://wpml.org/theme/divi/ to see the known issues.
2. Every WPML client (with an active WPML account) can open a new thread on our support forum: https://wpml.org/forums/forum/english-support/

Yes, this is possible. You need to select the option highlighted on this screen:
https://cdn.wpml.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/post-types-translation.jpg
for your post type (if you have custom post types they will all appear on that screen). This is done in WPML Settings.

Hi!
Yes, this is exactly what we offer 🙂
Hi
We are looking to find out if the plugin will work with multi-sites that use subfolders instead of sub domains. Would there be any issues with this setup?
Thanks
Jamie
Hey Jamie,
There is not difference for WPML to work between a multisite with subfolders or subdomains, you can activate it per site or for the whole network as discussed here:
https://wpml.org/documentation/support/multisite-support/
I hope it helps.

Hi Tomislav,
WPML supports Serbian as well as any other language https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/
You can translate all the content of your site with the CMS version
We have a 30-day Refund policy to let you try WPML https://wpml.org/purchase/refunds/

Hello Samuel,
Yes, it can:
https://ate.wpml.org/mt_langs

Hi Agnes,

Thank you very much for your help!
Have a nice day!
Eugene
I was glad to help. My initial testing of switching from Classic editor to ATE shows that it won’t affect your site front-end. So your translations on the front-end will look the same. You might expect some changes when you open these pages in the new editor. It will either ask you to resave your old translations as explained here: https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/advanced-translation-editor/using-translations-from-other-sources-in-the-advanced-translation-editor/ or it can translate your page automatically using machine translation (if you have enough translation credits).
If your or/and your client consider switching from CTE to ATE, best would be to try this out on a copy of your site, visit a few pages after switching to see what happens.
