    • Hello,
You would need the Multilingual CMS package, this is an annual offer but you can cancel your subscription at any time and still use the plugins but without access to updates. What plugin do you use to create your directory site?

  1. Hello, I would buy the “Multilingual CMS” licence but cannot because of my account type. I receive tis error if I try to buy it:

“You can’t buy this subscription as End user”

    How can I do?

    • Hello Gabriella,
If you have an end user account you cannot buy a new CMS subscription, logged in from the same account.
You will need to do it from a different account and use a different email address for the purchase.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

      Kind regards,

    • Hello,
Thank you for your interest in WPML. We don’t have any free demo but our refund policy allows you to test WPML for 30 days. If you have any questions, I’ll be happy to help.

    • Hello,
Thank you for your interest in WPML. We don’t provide an option to pay for WPML 6 years in advance. Can you help me understand why yearly renewals (which are automatic) are problematic to you? Thank you.

  2. Hello,

I am currently developing a woocommerce website for a client. We got down to a top 2 solution regarding multi language option : Weglot or WPML. Both are the same price, but we got a free trial with Weglot to test it out.

Client would want to see and feel if WPML is the right fit, which I understand as he will use it more than me in the future.

Can you grant us a short free trial ? thanks in advance

    • Hello,
Thank you for your interest in WPML. Can you please let me know what makes you think that Weglot or WPML are the same price? As far as I know, they are not, and WPML is much cheaper but I don’t know much of your setup: how big your site is gonna be, how many products it has, how many languages you plan to translate it into, if you plan to translate your URLs (please note that you need to pay extra for this in Weglot – please check their plan comparison: https://weglot.com/pricing/#plan-comparison and the Translated URLs feature, this feature is very important to visitors, most users would rather see URLs like this: yoursite.com/nl-be/over-ons than yoursite.com/nl-be/about-us considering you are translating your site to Dutch (Belgium)). Please note that if you cancel the Weglot subscription, you are losing all your translations. When you are canceling a WPML subscription, you keep your translations because they are saved in your WordPress database (not in the could) and you can still use WPML plugins but with access to updates.

To answer your question. We don’t have any free trial. You can buy WPML using our refund policy that allows you to test WPML for 30 days. If you have any follow-up questions, please don’t hesitate to ask and I’ll be happy to help.

  3. Hi,
    We are considering buying WPML.
We are currently using another translation plugin with three languages: english, spanish and portuguese.
This plugin adds the prefix ‘en_US’, ‘es_ES’, or ‘pt_PT’ to the begining of the slug, so that the result of the url for some post is like this:

    https://genexus.blog/en_US/software-development/it-security-a-key-aspect-of-mission-critical-systems/
    https://genexus.blog/es_ES/software-development/it-security-a-key-aspect-of-mission-critical-systems/
    https://genexus.blog/pt_BR/software-development/it-security-a-key-aspect-of-mission-critical-systems/

plese, note the prefixes ‘/en_US’, ‘es_ES’, ‘/pt_BR’ at the begining of the slug.
To us, it is extremely important that we can mantaint this exact prefixes at the begining of the slugs, because if this
is different with WPML, we would lost all the links that are already published pointing to the posts.

So the question is: Is it possible with WPML to mantaing this language prefixes?

I hope I was clear enough.

    Thanks in advance, Bruno.

  4. Hello,
We are building a hotel website, and we are with TheGem theme.
Would the Blog package be sufficient?
    Thank you!

  5. Hello
I purchased your product, but I did not receive the purchase message. I logged into my bank account and found that 39 dollars had been deducted. Where is the problem? Please reply quickly, please

  6. Hi!
In order to translate my themes Header/Footer I need to buy (or upgrade to) the Multilingual CMS for 99.- or is there another way with the blog-installation?

    Kind regards
    Stefan

    • Hi Stefan – It depends on where the text in your headers and footers are coming from. If they are a menu or widget, in some cases, those can be translated with a Blog account. Other text coming from a theme or plugin needs to be translated using String Translation, which is an add-on plugin only available for Multilingual CMS and Agency accounts. Please see our Getting Started with a Multilingual Blog Account Type for more information about what you can translate with a Blog account.

  9. When do WPML hawe usual discounts on products? Blackfrydays or new yar sales , as example when was the las t discount for a prices and wherre I can found next one, thank for answer

  10. I just bought the plug in because it said 3 sites, but it is a lie, it is 1 production site and 3 development sites. Development means in development, and then what after that? I don’t understand this
Please, can you explain how I can produce my 3 sites if you give me only one?

    Best wishes

    • Hello,
You can register up to 3 production sites (plus 3 development ones for each) with your type of account. Can you tell me exactly what you are doing that makes you think it’s not possible? You can also open a thread on our support forum to sort this out but you should be able to register 3 production sites. If it is not possible, we will check why but we need to understand what you are doing. Thank you.

  11. Hello.

I have a WPML subscription from three years. Currently, I moved my company to another country and I no longer need translation at all. I would like to cancel my subscription but before that, I would like to know if that will cause any issues on my site.

When I created my site, it was only in English. Then, I decided to add Bulgarian language too. Now (from more than a year, my site operating only in Bulgarian and I don`t use translations at all. However, the primary language still stay English.

I have hidden English content on my site and recently everything works fine. But what will happen after I deactivate the plugin after my subscription end? Is there any way to make Bulgarian a primary language and go further without any harms?

I will truly appreciate your help!
Please, contact me back by email.

    Thank you in advance!

    Kind Regards,

    Galina

    • Hello,
first of all, even if you cancel your WPML subscription, you can still use the WPML plugins (but you will lose access to updates). When you deactivate WPML plugins you will see your translated posts/pages as normal posts/pages mixed with pages in your original content. So if you don’t need them, please delete them before deactivating WPML. I don’t know how complex your site is and what other elements you have there (e.g. translated categories, tags). You might want to delete them too. But my biggest concern here is the fact that your site’s primary language was English while you want to make Bulgarian your primary language now. You can change the primary language of your site in WPML (Languages), no problem but please note that it can affect your SEO because the URL structure will change. If you need some technical help, please note that as long as your WPML subscription is active, you can ask questions on our support forum.

  12. Hi!

We are planning to install the Multilingual CMS.

My question is: we have the initial translations which will be inserted by hand. But imagine that we use the automatic translation in one paragraph, using the 4 credit/word (we prefer DeepL), with that translation count once or will count every month?

    • Hello Cristiana,
thank you for your interest in WPML and your questions. If you plan to insert your translation by hand, please select “Translate some” (instead of Translate everything) in your wizard when configuring WPML. If if you have this option turned on (“Translate some”), you can still use automatic translation (as long as your site have enough credits, but you will get 90 000 credits for free when buying the CMS package). 1 credit = 1 word if you use the Microsoft Azure engine, 1 credit = 2 words if you use the Google Translate engines and 1 credit = 3 words if you use DeepL. Yes, you translate only single sentences too. but the Google Translate engine is set as the default one. You need to go to WPML > Translation Management > Automatic Translation > Settings > and drag and drop the DeepL item to the top of the list. You will be charged for your translations only if 1) you create your credits account (which is optional) and 2) only for the credits you actually used. It means, that if you didn’t translate anything in a given month, you won’t be charged at all.

  13. I would like to know if your product is compatible with my wordpress theme “CURLY” – Qode
I must have the Multilingual option on the main page.
I want to know if your product automatically translates the whole site and creates the new pages … or … you tell me how it works.
I need to have a choice in the munu
    Hebrew
    English
    French
    German
    Russian

Pls also the cost of the plugin

    Thanks

    • Hello Charlye,
thank you for your interest in WPML. The Curly theme hasn’t been tested by our Compatibility Team but according to the theme’s authors, it is compatible with WPML: https://themeforest.net/item/curly-a-stylish-theme-for-hairdressers-and-hair-salons/21937461 (please press Crtl-F and type: WPML).

Let me explain how the translation works.

If you want to translate your whole site automatically, choose “Translate Everything” when setting up WPML. Please note that automatic translation consumes credits. You will get 90 000 for free when buying WPML which allows you to translate 45 000 words (if you use the Google Translate engine, which is the default engine in WPML) but if you plan to add 5 languages your site might need more credits. I don’t know how big your site currently is. To buy more credits, you need to create a credits account, which is described here: https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/

If I were you, I would add only one additional language when setting up WPML, see how it goes, how many credits were used and then would add other languages. When you have the “Translate Everything” option turned on, whenever you add a new page (and publish it), it will get auto-translated. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.

  14. I have a webpage build with divi theme and divi builder. I want to translate only the pages, blog and the menu and cookie page!
I need no translation in the admin area!
Which components or which version of the wpml package I have to order?

Is it enough to order the Multilingual Blog?

    Best Regards

    Heinz

    • Hello Karl,
thank you for your interest in WPML.
Be default, WPML translates only the content of your pages and posts (strings in the admin are not translated). The menu is just a collection of posts and pages and as soon as your pages are translated the menu will appear translated too. I’m not sure if you want to use your own translations or automatic translations, but WPML supports both ways of translating your site. We are compatible with Divi. There are 4 known issues now, you can see them all on this page: https://wpml.org/theme/divi/

  15. Hello, i paid for Order #854250 thru paypal – i do not see it in my account.
Can you please check it out? sent from paypal account: “email address from invoice”.

    Thanks, Simon

    • Hello Simon,
can you please let me know what you bought from us and when exactly?
The order number you shared shows up with the Apr 6, 2016 date. When checking the purchase history of your email (the one you used when submitting this comment) I can see 3 orders, 1 completed from Jan 5, 2015 and two pending from 2016.
If you paid for something recently and you can see in your PayPal account that we charged you, please kindly send us the translation number (you can also use this form: https://wpml.org/home/contact-us/contact-form/ if you don’t want to make it public)

  16. Hi, I have two questions

1-Can I add additional new content in the translated language without creating it in the default language? (Example: I have an English website and want to use WPML to translate it into German, I want to add a new page and name it “About Us” to the German version of the website, can I do it without creating it first in the default English version? I don’t need “About Us” page in English), if it’s not possible, what is your recommended way to create content that is only for the translated language?

2-If I have a “Services” page in English and I want to translate it into German but want to create a completely different design with different UI and different content, is it possible? Maybe by creating the new design in the translation language and then assigning it as the translation of the default English page? If not, in your opinion what should I do in this case to achieve this goal?

    Best,
    Maheldin

    • Hello Maheldin,
Thank you for your interest in WPML.
      1. Yes, it’s possible. When in your WPML admin, please use the language switcher you see near the top of your screen, switch the language to German and add the page. It will be added only in German.
      2. Yes, it’s also possible. Please make sure that your site doesn’t use the Translate Everything mode. Add your page in English first. Then, open it for editing and turn off the “Use WPML’s Translation Editor” option in your sidebar. Next, click the + icon to translate this page to German. If you get stuck feel free to open a support ticket on our forum to get some help.

  17. Hi do you have any discount code….. I wish to buy… ant test your plugin…… and in the ned ..I don’t know how will work… also because I will definitely have to buy a lot of translation credits ….
    Best regards

    • Hello,
to test the quality of the translations you can simply use these two pages:
      https://www.deepl.com/
      https://translate.google.com/
because we use their APIs and what you will see in WPML after using automatic translations will be almost identical.

To test WPML itself, the only way is to purchase it and use our refund policy in case you are not fully satisfied. You will have 30 days to request your refund. We don’t have any free demo.

  18. Hi,

We want to have multiple language options on our site, right now DANISH as the default language and ENGLISH as the second language, later on more.

Right now we are using TranslatePress as plugin for translation for multilanguage – however we are having issue with the translation of the following plugins:
    – ‘Woocommerce Memberships’
    – ‘Woocommerce Subscription’
    – ‘Teams for WooCommerce Memberships’
    – ‘YITH WooCommerce Affiliates’

Is WPMLS compatible with these plugins?

In case of the text on the frontend but also the emails ?

With TranslatePress they did not support translation of automatic/reacurring emails ex. out of order emails like reminders (we use subscriptions) is this supported with WPML?

    Best regards,
    Ling

    • Hello,
yes, you can set Danish are your default language and English as the second language.
On this page you can check all if your WooCommerce plugins/add-ons are compatible with WPML.

If the plugin you are interested in is available on the list, you should translate emails too. You can buy WPML and test all these features yourself and use our support forum if needed. Our refund policy allows you to test WPML for 30 days.
