Thank you for your link. This plugin wasn’t tested by our Compatibility Team and is not on our list of plugins compatible with WPML. But looking at the plugin description it seems to be WPML ready – they mention WPML a few times. You can buy WPML and test it yourself. If it turns out that it doesn’t work as you would expect, you can request a refund witin 30 days after the purchase.
Hello I am currently developing a site with multiple plugins that needs language switching and would like to test this plug-in to make sure it works. How does the 30 day money back guarantee work?
Hello Nicholas,
You only need to fill out our refund request form, no further questions asked within 30 days of your purchase date https://wpml.org/purchase/refunds/
Are you able to translate forms that are embedded on your website? We are using an online form builder service (Paperform) and embed the forms on our website. Will we be able to translate the forms even though they’re not through a plugin or is this not a capability.
Hi Krissa,
I have got a reply now. Paperform is not a WordPress plugin, which means you will need to create your forms within the Paperform app and then embed them into your WP site with the following method: https://paperform.co/help/articles/wordpress-plugin/
Since this looks to be shortcode-based, we cannot guarantee that it will work out of the box since we haven’t worked directly with their team before. We would recommend that you reach out to Paperform to ask how they can use the forms in a multilingual context.
If you want to try WPML with it, our tech team will help in the forum. You have up to 30 days to try it and get a refund if it doesn’t work for you. https://wpml.org/purchase/refunds/
We will also be happy to work with the authors on the integration, if needed. But this may take some time.
I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions-
Hello, I need to have my transport booking site in 2 languages, but I don’t know if this plugin allows me to duplicate the search form of the BA Book Everything plugin. You can see the form on my home page http://www.quercustravel.com/
I purchased the plugin and downloaded it. Now my website has a big white X and also the Hamburg (big White Hamburg) is separated. I did not need the hamburger. All I wanted is the language with the flags. Also, I noticed you do not have Swahili, nor any other African languages, such as Lingala, nor Tshiluba.
Hello Katherine,
thank you for purchasing WPML and for your honest feedback that you are not happy with your first experience with WPML. Please log into your WPML and open a ticket on our support forum: https://wpml.org/forums/forum/english-support/ We provide a safe way for you to share your site with our supporters so they can investigate it and help you.
Here’s the list of languages we support for automatic translation: https://ate.wpml.org/mt_langs
You can also add other languages but you need to translate manually. This page explain how to add other (custome) languages: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/editing-wpmls-languages-table/
Hello,
the subscription you purchased on April 30, 2018 wasn’t a lifetime but a regular Multilingual CMS subscription that expired on April 30, 2019. Maybe you bought another subscription (with a different email) and the other one was Lifetime? Anyway, our Lifetime users can keep their Lifetime subscription forever so if indeed you purchased a Lifetime subscription we will help you to get it back. Maybe you have your invoice number? Or please share the site you registered and I will check with which email it is registered.
I am managing a website in English and want to add French language using WPML plugin.
As I seen in many waebsites and read the documentation, The way the switcher works is not appropriate for me : when one is on the English page, the flag displayed is “English” as well as its label (“English)”
but I would like to display instead the “French” flag on the English page with its “French” label, so that users can switch, which would be more logical and ergonomic for users in my opinion !
the only solution i see is have both flags or labels visible horizontally or vertically and clickable, but i don’t really like it that way since i mufht add other languages in the future and there will be not enough space..
Hello Houssem,
When you add one of our language switchers, there is an option “Current language” which can be disabled. Once you do it, our language switcher will hide the current language and display only the other as you project needs.
I hope it helps.
Hello I have a question about the WPML Multilingual CMS Package. If I buy this package and set string and other translations, then I don’t renew next year my license. Will that affect my current or future translations?
The only drawback of not renewing the license is that we won’t have support and won’t be able to update the plugin, right?
Hello Eve,
yes, that’s correct what you wrote. If you don’t renew you can keep and use the plugin and your current translations (and translate new content in the future) but you won’t be able to update the plugin and open new tickets/chats on our support forum.

I use Product feed pro for the flow with my Merchant center.
My question is simple, once the WPML package is installed, is it possible to create a special feed for one language (Fr) and another feed for a second language (Nl), and install these different feeds on my Merchant Center without any problem?
I’m looking at building a multilingual holiday let site and my preferred booking plugin is WPBookingSystem (https://www.wpbookingsystem.com/) It’s not mentioned in your plugins list but I wondered if it is compatible – specifically I’m thinking about the back end system emails that go the customer. Can they be sent in different languages?
Failing that I’ve used the Motopress plugin before – does that support client comms in multiple languages if used with WPML?
Hello,
thank you for your interest in WPML.
You are right, this plugin is not listed in our plugins list and you can consider it incompatible. Such plugins to be compatible with WPML require some collabaration with the plugin author and some of its features won’t work out of the box (translating emails included).
Thanks Agnes – can you clarify my second query: are system emails sent from the (compatible) Motopress plugin able to be sent in different langauges via WPML?
Hello, from what I can from the plugin’s documentation (from the authors), you can translate emails: “The String Translations module will also let you translate the email templates that you and your customers receive when a booking is placed. You may also choose where to add the language switcher (to any widgetized area of your WordPress theme) in WPML settings.”
This means you can translate emails manually via the WPML’s String Translation plugin (included in the Multilingual CMS package). You test consider buying WPML keeping our refund policy in mind which allows you to test WPML for 30 days.
I am interested in purchasing WPML to use in my company’s blog, but to buy it, our administrator needs your Certificate of tax residency, proving where your company is based. Can you please send this information as soon as possible?
Hello
I wait to buy thé basic version for my site … I wander if with that version I can édit the translat words if thé automatic translat doesn’t match with the meaning

Hello,
thank you for your interest in WPML. The blog package (the basic version) doesn’t allow you to translate automatically. You would need to buy the CMS package to use automatic translations. Yes, you can always edit the translations.
Hello,
no, it’s a yearly plan. Renewals are optional but if you don’t renew after the first year, you won’t be able to register new sites. But you can keep using WPML on the sites you installed WPML during the first year (just without updates).
My website http://www.goettling.me is already having Polylang plugin to accommodate English (primary language) and Arabic.
Could you please clarify the below:
Will WPML be compatible with my wordpress site that has Polylang widget installed
Will WPML machine translate the complete website with all the pages in Russian
Will WPML also translate the URL for SEO purposes?
Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Hello,
thank you for your interest in WPML.
1. You cannot use both Polylang and WPML on your site. You would need to migrate your site’s translation to WPML by using this plugin and then turn of Polylang
2. WPML can translate your site automatically but not all 100%. There will be some exceptions that you will need to handle manually (for example some emails, some non-standard stings coming from your theme).
3. Yes, WPML can translate URL too. If you want to manually control the translation of your URLs, you need to go to WPML settings and choose an option to do so. Otherwise, the URL slug will be created automatically based on the translated title of the post.
Ideally it would be to make a copy of your site and switch to WPML on a copy first to see how it goes.
Hi
I have a site I are going to translate to 4 languages, and i don’t expect that the 90.000 credits is enough credit to translate all 4 languages. So how much does extra credits cost?
Hello,
if you use Pay-as-you-go, please use this calculator on this page by clicking on How much do credits cost? and then on Estimate the translation costs for your site using pay-as-you-go +. Please enter the number of languages you want to translate to.
In practice, you will pay even less because Translation Memory will be used and if a specific phrase was translated once, you won’t pay for it again.
We are currently using Translatepress, but are considering changing to your plugin, as they have too many shortcomings.
Do you offer, or have knowledge of an easy migration from Translatepress to WPML, or do we have to start all over?
In addition, do you have support for inventory / product feeds?
Hello,
thank you for your interest in WPML.
We don’t have any migration plugins for Translatepress. There’s no specific procedure that could be followed in order to do that so. What I would suggest:
1. Check with the Translatepress authors how to deactivate this plugin completely and do so
2. Use WPML with automatic translations.
3. Translate the site using automatic translations.
4. Review the translations and make edits where needed.
I currently use Polylang and have complete content in 2 languages (English & Arabic).
I want to add a 3rd language (Russian) with the help of WPML automated translation (pay-as-you-go).
Hello,
the process could like as follows:
On a copy of your site:
1. Install WPML
2. In the wizard choose “Translate some” (don’t choose Translate everything”)
3. Use the Polylang > Migration plugin to migrate your Polylang translation to WPML
4. Check what got migrated
If everything looks as expecetd with WPML and Polylang turned off, you can do the same on your live site and then you can go to WPML settings, turn on Translate everything and later on add the Russian language.
You can use our support forum if you get stuck.

Hello,
this plugin hasn’t been tested by our Compatibility Team and I would consider it not compatible. These kinds of plugins often require some extra adjustments (done in cooperation with the plugin author and our Compatibility Team) so the chance that it will work out of the box with WPML is slim. These of our users who can deal with some custom coding might handle this on their own by following this guide: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/language-configuration-files/how-to-register-page-builder-widgets-for-translation/
Here are some other Booking related plugins that are compatible with WPML: https://wpml.org/es/compatibility/2020/05/6-booking-plugins-for-multilingual-wordpress-sites/

The language binding to the country en_US – can be turned off and leave only en ?
Hello,
I’m not sure what you mean by “binding to the country en_US” and turning it off. When you add English to your site as your secondary language, the translated pages will use the “en” prefix in your site’s URLs.
