Hi,
We have a website 1 in french : frenchsite.fr
We will buy WPML to make a new website for 4 more language : europesite.com/en europesite.com/ge europesite.com/it europesite.com/es but without the french language which will stay in the first website frencsite.fr
How to do that ? Do we need to first transfer the french site to europesite.com then buy WPML and change language then delete the french our instal WPML on the frenchsite.fr and do a “transfer of diferentes languages on the other domain” ?
Hello Paulin,
Thank you for your interest in WPML. You cannot mix subfolders with different domains. It’s either different domains or subfolders for languages. So in your case that would be:
a) frenchsite.fr
europesite.com (en)
another-domain-1 (de)
another-domain-2 (it)
or
b) frenchsite.fr
frenchsite.fr/en
frenchsite.fr/de
frenchsite.fr/it
You can also try the following
europesite.com/en (en)
europesite.com/de (de)
europesite.com/it (it)
and frenchsite.fr redirecting to europesite.com (fr)
And in this case, you would need to install and set up WPML on your europesite.com (fr would be your primary language).
So the steps would be the following:
1) Make a copy of your frenchsite.fr and put it under europesite.com with your existing content in French (by the time you are finished you can put this site under maitanance the mode so that is not being indexed by search engines like Google)
2) Instal and configure WPML
3) Translate the site
When you are done, you can remove the content from frenchsite.fr and redirect frenchsite.fr to europesite.com
Привет,

hi, i am asking for the account annual renewal, what if I don’t pay the renewal ? the plugin will stop translate any more?
please answer me ASAP to start the purchasing process.
Hello, renewals are optional. If you don’t renew, you can still keep the plugin you installed and translate your site but you won’t receive updates (new versions of WPML) and you won’t have access to our support forum.
Hello,
thank you for your interest in WPML.
Here are your options:
1. You install WPML yourself by following your wizard and when you are stuck with something you contact our support forum (we also provide help via a chat)
2. You hire a WPML specialist. Here’s the list of our clients who offer such help but it’s paid: https://wpml.org/contractors/ In the advanced filters (More filters) you can search by country and language.
Please let me know if these options sound good to you. Is the site you used when posting your comment the site you plan to make multilingual?
I’m not sure what is the ad you are mentioning and this is why I would like to see your site. You can also register this site as production (instead of development) if that’s a live site. And you can use our support forum to get further help: https://wpml.org/forums/forum/english-support/
2 вопроса.
1. String Translation – он не доступен на тарифе Multilingual Blog, я так понял
2. String Translation – на seo не влияет? если у меня тариф Multilingual Blog и нет плагина String Translation
Плагин перевода строк недоступен для подписки типа «Блог». Вы можете перейти с пакета BLOg на пакет CMS за разницу в цене покупки, если хотите. Для этого войдите в свою учетную запись WPML.
Hello,
we don’t accept standard bank transfers (unless you use PayPal transfers – via PayPal e-checks). But you can pay by credit card. To use a credit card on the “checkout” page you will see a link entitled “Use a different payment processor” (at the bottom of the page, under the orange button). Please click on it.

Hello, Have a client for which we are constructing a web site, which must be translated to English, Spanish and Chinesse, and will work most surely with crocoblok for filtering and taxonomies, a load of words for a single language is about 900,000 Can you please help me to understand the annual pricing for the site so I can quote that to the client? Best!
Hello, thank you for your interest in WPML. WPML plugins
– $99 (plus VAT if applicable) for the first year, including access to updates and our support, 90,000 translation credits in the package
– 25% discount for the next year if you decided to keep your subscription (60, 000 translation credits in the package) Translation credits
If you use all of the free credits we give you when buying WPML, you can buy more credits: https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/
If you click on How much does automatic translation cost? on that page you will see a calculator that will allow you to estimate the cost of future translations.
Translated pages are stored in your WordPress database and you can keep the translation even if you don’t renew your subscription.
Hello,
I’m not sure I understand your question. You can buy pre-paid translation credits and then assign them to any of your websites, for example add 4000 to site A,add 7000 to site B etc. Another way is to sign up for the “Pay as you go”. Both ways are explained here: https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/
Hi
Our current site, immucura.com, is using WPML Multilingual CMS, WPML media, WPML String Translation and WPML Support Toolbox.
We are currently developing a brand new site in a staging environment, and need to have these plugins active at the same time in staging.
We cannot just move the licence from production to staging during development, as we need the live site to remain fully functional during this time.
How can we go about this, or do you have temporary staging licenses?
It would be unfair to expect us to buy a new license for a staging site.
Hello John,
If you have an active subscription, you can register the development site with a separate key so that you don’t need to use one of the available spots.
See here https://wpml.org/faq/install-wpml/#register
Hello Adrian,
The CMS version has a startup fee of 99$, with yearly renewals at 74$.
If you don’t renew, you can keep WPML as it is installed on your site, but you will lose updates and access to technical support.
The translated content will remain on your site too.
Hello Viola. Thank you for your interest in WPML. Yes, you can use your credit card. On the “checkout” page you will see a link entitled “Use a different payment processor” (at the bottom of the page, under the orange button). Please click on it.
we would like to get wpml at the moment we have polylang as it is expensive compared to wpml we would like to have a demo to see if this is something for us. Do you have a demo?
The second question is, since we are currently still a start-up and education, is there a discount for this?
Hello,
thank you for your interest in WPML. We don’t have any official demo and to test WPML on your own site you can buy it keeping our refund policy in mind that allows you to test it for 30 days without any risk. I can also set up a demo site for you but you won’t be able to install any plugins on that site (for security reasons). Please let me know if that would help.
To what languages the plugin is able to translate? Do you have bahasa, tagalog, vietnamese, farsi, russian, turkish, arabic, spanish, portuguese and chinese?
Is there a discount for the WPML for Startup or also Education?
second question: Is there a possibility to watch a demo, because we would like to buy the plugin currently we have the plugin Polylang in use, unfortunately it is very expensive compared to WPML. With the demo we would like to confirm whether the plugin is something for us, as it already fulfils many criteria.
How does it work with credits when translating the website content – is it 1 credit per word? And once purchased $199 package – is it a one off fee or do we pay in annually? thank you
Hello Anna,
DeepL (default) – 2 credits per word
Google Translate – 2 credits per word
Microsoft – 1 credit per word
please check details on https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/ in the FAQ section.
$199 is the price you pay for one year, the first one. For the next one you will get 25% but renewals are not mandatory. You can use WPML plugins even if your don’t renew your WPML subscription but without access to updates and our support help. Also users, who renew will receive some free credits after the first year (120,000 in your case if you are intersted in the Agency package).
I sent you an email with access to your demo site. Please check your spam folder if you cannot see it. Sometimes emails that contain links are considered as spam.
1) I am not sure about the 90,0000 and the 18,0000 credits and how it works. is 1 credit = to a keyword or character? what happen if I run our of credit. I do write a lot of blogs and instruction for my product. how is this credit limit effecting my work?
2) I want to know if this plugin is compatible with my WP theme, which is JupiterX them.
Hello,
thank you for your interest in WPML
1. WPML uses credits to calculate the cost of your translations. Each translated word is worth a certain number of credits based on which translation engine you use:
DeepL (default) – 2 credits per word
Google Translate – 2 credits per word
Microsoft – 1 credit per word
Deatials here: https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/
Please check the FAQ section on the page too.

Hi,
we use Woocommerce and have couple of thousand products with ready made translations in 5 languages. Can we upload those translations via REST API?
Can WPML redirect to adequate language site based on customer location?
How will URLs of difrernt languages look, is it possible to be “ourshop.com/en” “ourshop.com/de” “ourshop.com/it” etc.?
Thank you
Hello,
from this page you can learn how WPML works with WordPress REST API https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/woocommerce-multilingual/using-wordpress-rest-api-woocommerce-multilingual/
Please note that you can also upload your products via a CSV file:
https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/wpml-all-import-plugin-website-import-with-wpml/
By default, subdirectories are used for languages, so yes, your URLs will look as in your example.
You can see some WooCommerces sites from our clients in our Showcase: https://wpml.org/showcase/?wpv-site-category=e-commerce&wpv_view_count=1402455
Can i pay for your plugin directly with visa and avoid paypal?
Yes, you can use your credit card. On the “checkout” page you will see a link entitled “Use a different payment processor” (at the bottom of the page, under the orange button). Please click on it.
