Hi,
I had your Plugin in the past (Multilingual CMS for 99$) and to be honest I was not so satisfied. After one year I didn’t continue and the last year my website was “on hold”, so there were no need. Now I did the update on WordPress and other plugins and I got the message, that without updatign WPML my website will not work and indeed it doesn’t.
So, my question is, if I buy the simplest version, because I did not use any of automatic options and I’m perfectly fine with switching during translation job, will the older textes, which were available in 2 languages, stay the way they are? With other words, I don’t want to lose any content I had created manualy (translating myself) in 2 languages time ago using your Multilingual CMS only as “setting platform”.
Other question in regards of language switcher. My .com website is English and if I switch language to German, it becomes .de
This is how it worked before, so I would like to make sure, it will also stay like that. The German domain – .de is only mirrow in German of the main content from .com
Deciding between getting a Blog or a Multilingual CMS license not depends only on the automatic translation, you can also need a Multilingual CMS license and not making use of it for translating your website. The right questions to take this decision would be if you are needing WPML String Translation and if you used our Classical or Advanced Translation editor to translate your content. If you don’t need WPML String Translation (or you haven’t installed it) and you translated your content using WordPress Editor only, I guess the simplest version would be fine.
Regarding your .com and .de domaines, if you haven’t changed your server configuration and it worked with your previous version, it should continue working with our Blog license.
Hello,
it will work as per country IP ?
example: My website language is English and i have setup French,German now if sombody open my website in France then will my web URL will make
like http://www.example.com/fr
Yes, if you add French when configuring WPML, you will see French translations in with the fr prefix as in your example. The same applies to other languages. You can check this page (wpml.org as example). We use WPML too.
Hi,
We need to translate theme source language. We now switched our theme to our local language (Estonian) from wp admin. I can see a lot of strings not translated into Estonian. Just to be clear: we want to use only a single language in our shop: that would be Estonian. In case we can add more languages in the future on top of Estonian that would be just a bonus.
Hello Daryle,
the “Multilingual Blog” doesn’t include the automatic translation features at all. If you plan to use automatic translation, you must buy the Multilingual CMS package.
Hello, I have a problem. When I install the WPML Multilingual CMS plugin, I get the following error message, and my site crashes:

Does this plugin change the currency of the store when the language of the store is changed? For example, if my store has 2 languages Swedish and English. Now if I select Swedish the currency of the products will be the Swedish Krona (kr) for all pages (cart, checkout, order page in admin) and if I change the language to en the currency of the products will be Dollar($)? And also can I set different prices manually for both currencies?
Hello,
Yes, our plugin allows you to changer the currency if the language of the store is changed. Yes, you can also set different prices manually for both currencies.
Please note that to work with currencies you need the WooCommerce Multilingual extension. This is a plugin that is included in the Multilingual CMS package or if you don’t need to translate your site and your products but only provide the currency switcher, you can also consider using the free version of this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-multilingual/
thanks for quick reply. To be honest, I’m not sure what is this “string translation” and if I had it.
Back in the time I just installed WPML and the editor window had possibility to see the original text (in my case English) and the other fields on the same page where available to be filled. The text was separated in several groups, so that I didn’t do copy/paste of complete text, but did it by portions. My guess is, that this is this “string” option you mean, that the text is re-grouped and translated not in one piece. Is my understanding right?
If yes and I understood your previous explanation, I have to go for more expensive license to fix the problem with the website I have right now. If this is the case, it is kind of unflexible, that in order to keep the website working I have to keep the expensive license, even though I actually not going to use it this year at all (no changes to the website are planned). Eventually 1-2 blog articles would be added.
Probably somebody can get in contact with me and we find compromize on commercial terms?
Other question in regards of PHP 8.0. I heard, that there were problems and one of my friends needed to return to PHP 7.4 in order to make the website work again with WPML (it happend probably 5 month ago). Was there a problem indeed and this is fixed now?
Hello Elina,
does your site use WooCommerce? The error on your website makes me think it does. You need the Multilingual CMS package to use WPML with WooCommerce. If it doesn’t and if don’t need/use any other WPML plugins (only the main WPML which is called “WPML Multilingual CMS”) you can buy the Blog package and reregister your site to use the Blog type of subscription. Then you would need to contact our support forum to help you solve your issue and in case if it turns out the Blog package is not enough, then you would upgrade to the CMS for the difference in purchase price. If you want, you can try this but we would recommend buying the same kind of subscription that was already in use by you. Our supporters will also tell you if you can use PHP 8.0 (which shoudn’t be a problem). If you decide to buy the Blog package, please remember to reregister your site because the Blog package and the CMS package provide diffrent functionally – our supporters can help you with the details.
Hi,
I need to translate some words (from the WP Theme I installed) from english into my language. I see there are three purchase options: 39€, 99€ and 199€. The 99€ gives 90,000 translation credits but I actually need to translate much fewer words. Are there any other solutions? With the 39€ option it looks like I can translate only the Blog section, which I don’t need to translate. My website is going to be single language (Italian), which solution do you think would fit me the best?
Hello Michelangelo,
if your website is going to be in single language, you don’t need WPML at all. Please use the Loco Translate plugin (it’s free) to translate your theme strings https://wordpress.org/plugins/loco-translate/
We often publish 10+ articles each week and then we translate it to multiple different languages.
So, we need to duplicate article and then translate it manually to the desired language with Google Translate/DeepL.
However, we’re using a specific template with a lot of elements and different sections – would it be possible to automatically translate the whole page to Norwegian/Swedish/Italian (only one language) just by “activating” something?
Hello Dom,
Thanks for your interest. Yes, this is what WPML does.
You can translate your articles automatically but without redirecting visitors automatically to the language versions. This is an optional feature.
When you install WPML, a languag switcher will be added to your site, so that users can switch languages with a click.
More info here https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/#translating-individual-pages-posts-and-other-content-automatically
What template are you using? You can check the list of the themes we have already tested here https://wpml.org/theme/
I’m interested in your plugin because I would like to add a Dutch version to my French website on another domain name.
So I already own the other domain and I tried to configured it with OVH (my host), but when I go on the Dutch domain, it redirect
to the French website. Should it be this way? I would like the Dutch domain name to remains. Do you have any experience with OVH?
Do you offer the service to install the plugin for me if I don’t succeed?
thanks
Hello Christophe,
thanks for your interest in WPML. WPML allows you to use different domain for languages but this involves some extra work, please check the details here: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/language-url-options/how-to-use-wpml-with-different-domains-per-language/ Some of our clients use OVH and sometimes they ask questions related to WPML on our support forum mentioning OVH and our supporters provide help as long as it has anything to do with WPML. We don’t offer the service to install the plugin but if you get stuck, please use our support assistance and they will help you. You can share access with our supporters to your site (we have special fields for this).
In the free version of the multi-currency plugin if I change the country/region in the checkout form then it converts the currency according to the settings i have saved but when I go back to the product page the currency again goes back to stores default, not the one I have select and seen in checkout form?
Hello Raghuraj,
It would depend on your currency switcher configuration and how you have limited your countries configuration. However, according to your description it sounds expected.
Anyway, As it is a pre-sales forum, I would recommend you to post in the right channel.

thanks for your reply. I’m wondering, why my comments are showing not in chronological way. I started my questions and the reply doesn’t consider the history.
I still didn’t understand the point with “string-tranlation”, which André commented. I don’t want to lose all manual work, which was performed to do translation on my website 2 years ago. I have many products and a blog section, so I did all this manual work, that by switching the language the customer see the corresponding text. I’m just affraid, that if I buy the license for 39€, the complete setup and previous work will be lost. You are suggesting to contact technical support after the purchase, however such decision is crucial and if I buy the license, which implies, that after installation 10-20 hours of work need to be performed to fix, it is kind of wrong decision.
Could you please confirm this technical part, which is important by decision of purchase?
I would like to emphasize, I only need my WooCommerce-Webpage to work and doesn’t need WPML functions to do the new translation job, since I don’t do any changes. I’m just forced to buy it to keep my website working, so I would appreciate, that if I need to buy the expensiv version for 99€ some commercial could at least give me “continuation” subscription package, which is worth 75€, in case the blog license worth 39$ ist not suitable for me, having in mind the histrory. I was already a customer with incompatibility issue of your plugin with some other I have and spent a lot of fixing them, so I would appreciate some company forward-coming solution.
Hello ELina,
if your site has any translated WooCommerce products and if you translated anything within the WPML > String Translation panel, you must continue with the CMS package and you cannot replace it with the Blog package. Otherwise you will lose these translations. Please purchase the CMS package (before you do, please log into your existing WPML to be able to continue with the same account) and use our support help with any issues/questions you might have after buying. You will have 30 days to request a refund and we will refund your money if you still have some serious issues with WPML. But we have a well-trained and experienced support team and I hope they will solve your issues. I cannot review your site to say if the CMS package is the best one because your site is down at the moment. But now, when you mentioned using WooCommerce and if you translated at least one product with WPML, I’m sure you need the CMS not the Blog package.
Hey, I have now found a store that owns a lifetime license from before the release of the yearly license. The owner is offering to add my domain to his account for a specific amount of money. In this situation, I would be a client, and he would add my domain to his account. So, I’m wondering if there is any problem with that?
best regards
Hello,
We are the only legal seller of WPML. However, in the past we used to offer the Lifetime subscription that allows the owner to register as many website as they wish. If that’s the offer you mention, please know that even if you let this person register your site with their WPML account, you won’t get access to our support and you will depend on this person because you won’t have your own WPML account.
I want to publish the site now in 5 languages. Language will be added in the future. Currency will be set to euro. The customer will pay in euros. SEO optimization is required for google ranking for each country. The site has YOAST SEO. Which plan to choose?
Is it possible to use the translations in the future or is it limited by the subscription period?
Hello,
thank you for your interest in WPML.
You mention currency which makes me think we are talking about a WooCommerce site and you are also interested in translating products. Is this correct? If so, you need the Multilingual CMS package. Also the Multilingual CMS package is require if you plan to use automatic translation. Yes, WPML is compatible with the Yoast SEO plugin. Yes, you can keep your translations (and the WPML plugin) even if you decide to cancel your WPML subscription in the future. If you cancel your subscription you won’t be getting updates and you won’t be able to ask for technical assistance but you can still use WPML.
Hello there ,
I need to ask some questions before purchasing a plan to translate the whole website from ENGLISH to ARABIC :
1- Which plan should i get if my website has more than 9k products (Woocommerce) ?
2- which payment plan should i use if i want to use your automatic translation ?
3- Can i make a revision for the translation and editing easily ?
4- How do i know how many words on my website and how do i count my translated words ?
if you have any additional info or vidoes to help me get the right way and start on translating the website, please send it to me because i do not have much experience doing this.
Thanks.
Hello,
thank you for your interest in WPML and your questions.
1. You should purchase the Multilingual CMS package to translate WooCommerce products.
2. You have two options:
a) Pay-as-you-go – you need to add your payment card to use it but it’s cheaper
b) Pre-paid credits – you can pay by card or by PalPal
Please check this page for details: https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/
3. Yes, you can. Every piece of content that has been translated automatically can be reviewed and edited if needed.
4. For now, we don’t have anything specific that would help you count the words of your site and estimate your costs. We are adding this missing feature now and it will be able in one of the next WPML releases. Here are some hints of what you can do, if you would like to know how much you might pay:
a) when setting up WPML, you can choose the “Translate what you choose” mode instead of “Translate Everything” and use in bulk automatic translation for selected pages and see how many credits have bee used
b) you can add only a few languages at first (2-3) and see how it goes
c) you can use this interactive calculator to estimate how much your credits will costs after you use all the free credits (90 0000) we give you when you buy WPML https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/#how-automatic-translation-works-lnk
As soon as you feel confident with the pricing, you can add more languages later and you can switch to the “Translate Everything” mode.
Please check this video: https://youtu.be/k5Qhmhp31jk
Is there a way to sent a private e-mail? I want to know the cost of credits to translate my website in multiple languages. I have a big website thats why. Also i want to know if its possible that when a visitor visits my website he gets a popup confirming if the language and currency is correct.
I purchased WPML Multilingual CMS previously and stopped the subscription. More than a year has passed and now I would like to renew the subscription, but I only see an option to purchase it again at full price. Is there anything I could do about it?
Hello,
your subscription expired in April and the break was too long to get back to the old pricing, I’ms sorry. If our clients are late for up to 30 days, it is still possible. We had sent you a few email reminders about the possibility to renew your subscription at the old price.
Good day, how much is the annual renewal if I contract the 199 plan after the year, I am interested in this plan and if you have any discount for first purchase, thank you.
Hello Checha,
Thanks for yourinterest. The renewal fee for the Agency subscription is 149$.
I am afraid we don’t have any discounts available for the initial purchase.
hello, im using wpml, im subscriber prandelliD I find that I cant open the support because seems im no more subscriber.
Any help please?
My website using elementor and I have issues with wpml setting
Hello, your subscription expired on June 15, 2023. You need to buy WPML again. Please log into your existing WPML account before buy it if you would like to use WPML with the same email address.

Hello Rami,
Thank you for contacting us through the purchase(at)wpml.org email. It will be handled by my colleague who has access to your data. Yes, your card has been charged recently (as a WPML renewal) and we can issue you a refund for that order. Issuing a refund will cancel your WPML subscription for good. You can request a refund for your recent order via this page: https://wpml.org/purchase/refunds/ or wait for the person from the purchase department to reply to you.
Hello,
I can see that your site uses the Oxygen page builder and for now such websites cannot be translate automatically. https://wpml.org/plugin/oxygen/
If it’s okay to translate your manually, you can buy the CMS package (99 EUR) and translate your site manually.
Hi,
I had your Plugin in the past (Multilingual CMS for 99$) and to be honest I was not so satisfied. After one year I didn’t continue and the last year my website was “on hold”, so there were no need. Other question in regards of language switcher. My .com website is English and if I switch language to German, it becomes .de
This is how it worked before, so I would like to make sure, it will also stay like that. The German domain – .de is only mirrow in German of the main content from .com
Thanks,
Elina.
Hello Elina,
Deciding between getting a Blog or a Multilingual CMS license not depends only on the automatic translation, you can also need a Multilingual CMS license and not making use of it for translating your website.
I hope it helps,
Andrés

Hello, if you plan to use only one language, WPML is not for you. Please try the Loco Translate plugin (it’s free).
Based on https://wpml.org/purchase/, I only need the following:
– Standard translation controls
– Automatic Translation
i am planning to try €39 “Multilingual Blog” first but with “pay as you go” Automatic Translations, is this possible?
Hello Daryle,
the “Multilingual Blog” doesn’t include the automatic translation features at all. If you plan to use automatic translation, you must buy the Multilingual CMS package.

Does WPML work with WooCommerce and Elementor? Specifically the automatic translations
Hello Henrik,
yes, it does. WPML works both with WooCommerce and Elementor and you can use automatic translations too.
Do you have to configure WPML in a multisite environment? Or does it work in a “normal” WP-installation?
You can activate it on a regular WordPress install, or a Multisite

Hi Agnes,
thanks for your reply.
Thanks,
Elina.
Hi
can any one provide me discount code!?
Hello Anas,
I have replied to you via email about this.
Best regards
I am sad 🙁
Here are some hints of what you can do, if you would like to know how much you might pay:
a) when setting up WPML, you can choose the “Translate what you choose” mode instead of “Translate Everything” and use in bulk automatic translation for selected pages and see how many credits have bee used
b) you can add only a few languages at first (2-3) and see how it goes
c) you can use this interactive calculator to estimate how much your credits will costs after you use all the free credits (90 0000) we give you when you buy WPML
https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/#how-automatic-translation-works-lnk
As soon as you feel confident with the pricing, you can add more languages later and you can switch to the “Translate Everything” mode.

Hello,

Hello,
I will send you a private email. Please expect to receive one from Agnes Bury from OnTheGoSystems.
Hi,
I purchased WPML Multilingual CMS previously and stopped the subscription.
Kind regards,

Hello Rami,
Thank you for contacting us through the purchase(at)wpml.org email.
Can my site be assessed for suitability and a quote for this plugin?
Hello,
I can see that your site uses the Oxygen page builder and for now such websites cannot be translate automatically.
https://wpml.org/plugin/oxygen/
If it’s okay to translate your manually, you can buy the CMS package (99 EUR) and translate your site manually.
