I’m building one or more multilingual websites using WordPress and am considering using WPML to manage translations for three to five languages. I’d like to know about pricing. Do you charge per site? Or can I purchase a package to cover multiple sites simultaneously? What are the costs?

Our subscription pricing depends on the features included as well as the number of sites you can register.
Note that when you install WPML on a site, it will count as one WordPress install. We will not charge the new language versions as separate sites. This is generated within the same WordPress install and counts as one site.
We have 3 versions:
Blog> register one site and access to the core multilingual module only.
CMS> register up to 3 sites and access to all features (including automatic translation, Page builders integration, WooCommerce multilingual)
Agency> register unlimited sites and access to all features.

AI is used to translate content automatically. This is the default translation option, but you can switch off automatic translation if you prefer.
Is it used for anything other than translation?
No, it is not.
Is it possible to have a version of the plugin without the AI translation element?
No, but you can completely disable automatic translation if you prefer.
Or a version without the free credits for automatic translation?
Every new site you register automatically receives 2,000 free credits. These credits cannot be removed, but if you turn off automatic translation or if you don’t translate automatically, they will not be used.
To turn off automatic translation by default in the WPML editor:
Go to your list of pages in your WordPress backend.
Click the plus icon for any page.
The editor will open, and the page will be translated automatically.
Click the blue Undo button.
Switch off automatic translation.
When translating within the Translation Management (TM), do not select Translate Automatically. Choose another option instead.

Hi, our client has purchased your plugin, however when they try to preview the changes in any post type page in wordpress it doesnt show the updated changes and we wondered if there is a bug causing this from wpml? (its working in pages and post, just not custom post types)

Currently, only GeneratePress is in our compatible directory. It doesn’t mean that GenerateBlock is not, just that we haven’t tested.
You can buy a WPML license and use the 30 days refund period to check if WPML is the right tool for your project.

We manage product technical documents in the backend which show listed on the English version of our web pages – what happens when we translate that page to say Spanish? would the list of documents still exist and would it be possible to remove them from view, just showing the basic product info on the page without downloads?

Estamos experimentando problemas con productos en WooCommerce en su ultima versión, especialmente en el idioma inglés. Al actualizar la versión del producto en español, el producto en inglés hereda las categorías del producto español en lugar de mantener las suyas propias en inglés. Esto provoca errores 404 en los productos afectados y, además, resulta imposible eliminar las categorías en español desde el backoffice; la única manera de hacerlo es directamente desde la base de datos.
En la web se han llevado a cabo varias actualizaciones técnicas. En primer lugar, se actualizó WordPress de la versión 5.1 (EOL desde 2019) a WordPress 6.8. También se actualizó PHP de la versión 7.0 a la 7.4 y se actualizaron todos los plugin a la ultima versión disponible.

in theory you have access to old versions of WPML from your WPML account (the Downloads section > Download WPML manually and then hover on any plugin on the icon with “i” to see the logs and previous versions) but using the old version of WordPress and any plugins is not a good idea because of security issues and bugs.

WPML fully supports RTL layouts. However, it only applies them to themes that support RTL. If a theme doesn’t support RTL, WPML won’t apply RTL formatting.

Regarding the already translated words, if you add those words into your glossary, they won’t consume more credits in the future.

By “native”, I am assuming that you mean theme/plugin strings. WPML’s String Translation addon allows you to translate any string on your site. It’s a component of WPML, available in our WPML Multilingual CMS and WPML Multilingual Agency accounts.

I am not sure what you mean by Page Statistics here. The only page overview we have is via the Translation Management Dashboard. If you are looking for SEO page statistics, then this is done by your chosen SEO plugin.
