    • Hello

The number of credits required to translate a site does not depend on the number of products but on the number of words you need to translate. i.e. images do not take up translation credits but product descriptions do! Simple products will require less credits than variable products. It also depends on the translation engine and the number of target languages you intend to translate with/to.

We have a rough estimator that you can use here:
      https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/#estimate-your-translation-cost

90K credits is enough to get you started – but I would be diligent in knowing your data size well to get a realistic idea of the translation budget you need.

      Kind regards

  3. Hi there, I have an agency license. If I create the glossary, it will be included in all client projects. Is it possible to create a separate glossary for each domain? The same applies to pay-as-you-go. I would like to have different settings for each domain. Is that possible?

  4. I’m looking for a plugin so I can add a field and my description will be automatically translated into german. This field must not be show on my website. Is that possible with wpml because chatgtp says it can be done with this plugin, but I want to check it first.

    • Hello

What plugin are you using to “add a field”? I think I need more information on your use case. Could you provide which plugin you are using to add the field? and also please confirm that you only want to see this field in the wordpress dashboard and not on the frontend of your site?

      Kind regards

  5. Hi Sir,
I’m want to buy a license of WPML, and I want to know one thing before place order.
For the CMS package, it means that I could use WPML in 3 websites, right?

    • Hello

With the CMS subscription, you can use WPML on a total of 12 websites: 3 “production” and 9 “development”.

The difference between the “production” and “development” sites is a banner which appears on the front page. The functionality is the same otherwise.

I hope this clarifies your doubts.

  6. Hello,
I am interested in your plugin, but I would like to see a demonstration and receive a detailed quote for my website.
    Please get back to me.
    Regards,
    Emmanuel

  7. Hellom
I need to get some clarity.

    If you say you charge for example Multilingual CMS 99 and the first 2000 credits is free yet the total credit here is 90,000 credits. I need to get clarity on the following;

    – How does the credit get distributed especially when i make a fresh account.
    – Can i use all my 90,000 credits before buying the pay as you go?
    – Is it possible to use both deepl and Azure on different pages?
    – What happens when i no longer need your service for example if i find out that it’s very expensive given the fact that you do not offer free trial.
    – Finally, is the 99 payable every year?

    Regards,
    Tony

    • Hello,

How does the credit get distributed, especially when I make a fresh account?
You decide. You can assign credits to the websites you register. You can move credits to or from any site at any time.

Can I use all my 90,000 credits before buying the pay-as-you-go plan?
Yes, you can. It’s up to you how many credits you use — all or some.

Is it possible to use both DeepL and Azure on different pages?
Do you mean translating page A with DeepL and page B with Azure within the same site? In theory, yes. However, in practice, it requires a few extra steps — after translating page A, you would need to go to WPML → Settings and completely switch off DeepL, since WPML always uses the first translation engine on the list.

What happens if I no longer need your service — for example, if I find it too expensive given that you don’t offer a free trial?
You can request a refund within the first 30 days, and you’ll get your money back. After the first 30 days, you can cancel your subscription at any time. You’ll keep the plugin and your translations, but you’ll lose access to support and future updates.

Finally, is the $99 fee payable every year?
Yes, unless you cancel, the $99 renewal will be charged automatically each year. You can cancel anytime, as mentioned above, or switch to manual renewals.

  8. Is the 90,000 credit translation limit applied immediately after purchase? Also, is this per site or across all sites?

  9. I would like to add a second and third website in seperate WP installations. Should I go for a second ‘multilingual blog’ or for ‘multilingual CMS’? It says ‘;you can’t buy this subscription as End user’

    • Hello,
You cannot upgrade an end-user account. To register 2 more sites you will need the CMS subscription. The Blog subscription is restricted to 1 site only and it also has restrictio in the features it offers.

      Kind regards,

  10. Hi Team,

I am looking to renew subscription for the below plugins on our site.
WPML Media, WPML Multilingual CMS, WPML String Translation. Which purchase/subscription do I need to make to get these plugins?

    Thanks in advance

    James

  11. Hi Team,

I have a problem, I had a website in romanian, I translated to greek and english. After that I hidden romanian language. The automatic translation translated from greek to all languages (included romanian and english) creating 800 new products. That charged me close to 300$

Now I have 6 copies of the same product 2 per each language and I have no idea what to do… Which one should I delate.

    Thank you in advance,

    David

  12. Hi,

I have a wordpress holiday let website that will have maybe 3 or 4 pages, no blogs.
Will the basic price – multilingual blog – be suitable for this?
Will the plugin automatically translate all the content for me or will I have to provide all the translations for the plug in to switch between?
What does the basic plugin actually do?
What will and wont be translated?

    Thanks

    • Hello

My guess is that your multilingual holiday let will also include a contact form and/or a booking calendar. If so, you will need to have the Multilingual CMS subscription in order to translate all of your site.

There are, in fact, few cases where a Multilingual Blog license will cover all translation needs. This has mostly to do with the fact that the majority of wordpress sites now use some kind of page or theme-builder plugin to design their site pages. Is this your case?

With this in mind, let me answer your questions directly:

Will the basic price – multilingual blog – be suitable for this?

Probably not. If your site uses any kind of contact form, has a navigation menu, or uses any plugin that has plugin options, you will need to use String Translation fo these elements to appear correctly in the additional languages.

Will the plugin automatically translate all the content for me or will I have to provide all the translations for the plug in to switch between?

This is up to you and your site translation budget. There is our subscription price to be able to divide your single site into separate language “spaces” giving your visitors a multilingual experience on a single wordpress installation. However, the content translation prices are separate depending on the translation engine you choose and the number of words you need to translate.

Here is some information about automatic translation pricing: https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/#estimate-your-translation-cost

Of course, you can use your own translations and incur no additional translation costs.
This is possible with our Advanced Translation Editor: https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/advanced-translation-editor/
or with our classic translation editor: https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/using-the-translation-editor/

What does the basic plugin actually do? What will and wont be translated?

The basic plugin allows you to translate content accessible from within the WordPress editor. This will not include any theme or plugin strings or configuration options. You also will not be able to translate navigation menus. There is a nice summary of what is not available with the basic plugin (ie. WPML Blog) here:
      https://wpml.org/purchase/

I hope I’ve been able to answer your questions.

  13. ciao,

questa mattina ho acquistato WPML pagando con carta di credito, ma non ho ricevuto nulla. Non so come scaricare il plugin né come fare la login. Potete aiutarmi, grazie

  14. Hello, it says “Support & updates 1 year” , does it means that after one year if I decide not to continue the plan, my website will stop working? Or I will be able to keep using the plugin but wont receive latest updates?

    Best regards,
    Sandis

    • Hello

We’re sorry to see you go.

Here is how you can cancel:
      1. First modify your renewal options to stop automatic renewals.
      – Log in to your account and look for the underlined words “Modify your renewal options” in the top banner. It’s next to the box with the words “Upgrade your account”
      – In the nex screen under the “Payment method” section, there are the small underlined letters “Cancel automatic renewal”.

This essentially will stop your subscription.

      2. If you have been charged and it is within 30 days of the time you have been invoiced for a susbscription renewal, you can apply for a refund here:
      https://wpml.org/purchase/refunds/

I hope this answers your question.

  15. Good morning,
    I have two questions:
    – How can I purchase a two-year membership?
    – After payment, I need to receive an invoice in the name of the association. Is this possible?
I look forward to hearing from you.
    Valentina

  16. Hi there,

We want to buy WPML Multilingual CMS package for our wordpress website, built only with Elementor.
Does DeepL work with Elementor ? Or would we have to use PTC (WPML AI) for all our elementor content ?

Furthermore, if we need more credits than the 90k, do we have to pay for extra credits through DeepL, or through WPML ?

    Thanks so much

    • Hello Alix,
You can translate your site buit with Elementor, using WPML’s automatic translation and selecting DeepL as the translation engine. You can choose the translation engine of your preference.
If you need more than the 90K credits included in the purchase of your subscription, you will be able to buy more credits via wpml.org. We have 2 payment methods for the automatic translation credits:
prepaid credits or Pay-as-you-go subscription. More info here https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/

Let me know if you have any other questions.

  17. Hi,

I plan to create a microsite and I want to know what the WPML Multilingual Blog does exactly.

It appear that we only get this :
    Standard translation controls
Translate content using the WordPress editor

But I can’t find exactly what it is on the website.

    Thanks in advance!

    • Hello Jérémie,
I think the best way to see it is answering this question: is your microsite a blog? You just have some articles which need to be translated.
On the other hand, if you are using a page builder, theme options, WooCommerce… or you want to use automatic translation, then, Multilingual CMS is the right choice.
      I hope it helps,
      Andrés
