WPML updates don’t show up right away because we release them in batches. Once we release it to all sites, they become available on the Plugins page.

Why do you use this gradual rollout process for WPML plugins?

We use a gradual rollout process for all WPML plugins, including our add-ons, to protect your site. Over a million diverse sites use WPML, each with unique configurations and setups. A single release with an issue could cause significant problems.

This cautious approach ensures each update is thoroughly tested and stable before reaching everyone. In case we find anything, we can pause the roll-out, fix the issues, and continue safely.

This also means you don’t need to stress when it’s time to update to a new version of WPML or any of our add-on plugins.

Can I manually check for WPML updates?

Yes, you can manually check for WPML updates. However, we recommend waiting for the update to automatically reach your site.

To manually check for a WPML update:

  1. Go to Plugins → Add New Plugin.
  2. Switch to the Commercial tab and click Check for updates.

Why can’t I see the update after checking in the Commercial tab?

WPML updates can take up to 24 hours to reach all sites. If you can’t see the update immediately after checking in the Commercial tab, please wait a little longer before trying again.

When do WPML updates become available via hosting control panels like cPanel and Plesk?

As with the WordPress Plugins page, WPML updates become available through hosting control panels like Plesk or cPanel once we push the update to 100% of our clients.

If you want to update earlier, you can manually check for updates in the backend of your WordPress site.
