I am trying to:

I am having issues importing Translions strings I had send to a external company.
As you can see the ID is the same fro both files (the exported one and the one I have received back)
This is my live site "re-down.com"
I had already imported German and Korean languages without issues
Since I have added French and now that Chinese and Japanese strings are back I am not able import any of the files I have received so far (Simplified Chinese). I ma having the message "Import failed!" The translation Job 152 doesn't belong to you
As you can see the ID inside the files are matching

Thank you for contacting WPML support, I'd be happy to help you with this issue.

That means job 152 does not belong to you, it belongs to another translator on your site. You can find the translator of that post in WPML > Translation Management > Jobs tab.

If you want to upload the translated XLIFF file with your current account, please follow the documentation and let me know if it helps.

While checking the debug info, I see that the WordPress Memory Limit is below the requirements. The minimum requirements are 128M, but we do recommend 256M and the debug information of your site shows it set to 40M. Please check this link for more details

You can increase it by adding the following code in your wp-config.php file, right before the /* That’s all, stop editing! Happy publishing. */ line:


define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' );
define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '128M' );

After adding the code you can confirm that the memory was changed correctly from WPML > Support > WordPress > Memory limit.

Hi Long,

I have now corrected the memory settings.

I have read your fixes, I have no choice but to edit the files ID

BUT I have sent you the copy where from the right environment and the file IDs matched each other: the file I extracted and the one that came back from translations (see screenshot)

Now the translations jobs I have exported from my site have just vanished from the site.
Do you know what might have happened (see attached screeshot when I filter them - empty list)?
I have hidden the languages from the site (since it is a live site) untill receiving the translations back... But can this be the reason for this issue?

I need to know what have cause the jobs to be removed ... so it doesn't happen again to me

Another update, I see the jobs are still on the server...Hos can I see which job I should replace them since I cannot access the file ID

Thank you for your feedback.

At first, you need to know that job 152 is a translation of what post/page or content type on your site. Please check the screenshot below to enable the job ID column in the Jobs tab

Then you can try to follow steps below to import the XLIFF file:

You have the translated XLIFF file (1)
- Go to WPML > Translation Management > Jobs > Cancel the job
- Go to WPML > Translation Management > Add the post (not translated) to the translation basket
- Assign the job to you
- Go to WPML > Translations and download the XLIFF file (2)
- Copy the ID from file 2 to file 1 that you have
- Reimport file 1 to your site in the Translations queue

You can open the XLIFF file on your PC with a CAT tool or a Text Editor to edit the file ID

If you are still not able to import the XLIFF file, please share the file with me and I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. Your next reply is set to private to share the info.
