This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client has installed the WPML plugin and wants to use it only on specific pages like blogs and downloads for automatic translation to Polish and Swedish, but is unable to find documentation on how to apply the plugin selectively.
Solution:
We recommend setting the translation mode to 'Translate What You Choose' instead of 'Translate Everything Automatically'. This can be done by navigating to WPML > Settings > Translation Mode. After setting this, you can manage how each page is translated by going to WPML > Translation Management > Dashboard. Here, you can either send pages for automatic translation or assign them to translators or yourself using the Advanced Translation Editor. For more detailed guidance, please refer to our documentation on WPML Translation Management.

Please note that this solution might be outdated or not applicable to your specific case. If this does not resolve your issue, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Background of the issue:
I have purchased and installed the WPML plugin. We have already created multilingual pages on our website with our own translation. We only want to use WPML on our blogs hidden link and downloads pages hidden link for the automatic translation to Polish and Swedish.

Symptoms:
I didn't find any tutorial or documentation to use the plugin only on select pages. It is only showing me how to translate the entire website in Polish and Swedish.

Questions:
How can I use WPML to translate only specific pages like blogs and downloads?
Is there a way to configure WPML to apply automatic translation only to selected pages?

Hello,

When using the "Translate Everything Automatically" mode you can not controle which pages are getting translated automatically.

Using this translation mode the only workaround would be to switch the translation method for those pages to "WordPress Editor". You find this option on each original content on the right sidebar of the WordPress Editor inside the section "Language".

Anyhow, I would not recommend doing this.

Instead go to WPML > Settings > Translation Mode and set it to "Translate What You Choose."

This way you can decide yourself how each page should be translated byt going to WPML > Translation Management > Dashboard. This way you will still be able to send pages to automatic translation or you can create jobs for translators or yourself to translated them with the Advanced Translation Editor.
