Background of the issue:
I am trying to manage WooCommerce product pages on my site hidden link. After uninstalling the WPML plugin, I noticed a change in loading times when editing or adding new products using WP Bakery. I plan to add four more languages soon.

Symptoms:
With WPML installed, the loading time for WooCommerce product pages increased to 14-15 seconds, compared to 1-2 seconds without it. The WordPress dashboard and other pages are also experiencing significant speed issues.

Questions:
How can we overcome the speed issue caused by WPML?
What steps can I take to resolve this issue urgently?
Is there a way to optimize WPML for better performance?

Hello again,

WPML plugins shouldn't impact the performance of the site more than any other active plugin. Please follow these steps to isolate the cause of the issue:
- Create a full site backup or create a staging site with a copy of the production site (you can use WP Staging plugin for free)
- Update any outdated plugins or themes
- Flush any cache memory that might appear
- Activate the WordPress debug mode as described in this guide: https://developer.wordpress.org/advanced-administration/debug/debug-wordpress/
- Deactivate all plugins, including the WPML ones
- Activate a default WordPress theme, like Twenty Twenty
- Activate the WPML plugins, Woocommerce, and Woocommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency
- Re-save the permalinks
- If the performance issue disappeared, start by activating the theme and then the rest of the plugins, one by one, until the issue appears again and you find the culprit.

Can you tell me the results of the steps described above?

Regards,
Carlos

Hello,

It's absolutaley about your plugins.

I've completed everything you mentioned in the list and reached the final step. I'm even taking a screenshot to show you how much your plugin makes your site slower, as I know you won't admit it:

hidden link

With the method you mentioned, my site's design was also ruined because of you and now I have to do everything from scratch.

When I activate your plugins, my site's background loading time is around 10 seconds, but when I deactivate them, it drops to 2-3 seconds. Will you still argue that your plugins affect my site's background loading speed as much as other plugins, or will you offer a real solution that doesn't disrupt my site's design?

If you don't have any REAL SOLUTION im going make refund.

Waiting your real solution for this.

Thank you for your message.

To proceed with further troubleshooting, I kindly ask you to create a staging site — a copy of your production site — where we can run tests without risking any changes on your live site. You can use a free plugin like WP Staging to set this up.

Once ready, please share the staging site access credentials in your next reply. I’ve set it so that your next message will be private and secure.

This will help us isolate the root cause of the issue and work on a proper solution.

If you prefer to request a refund instead, you can do so here: https://wpml.org/purchase/refunds/

Looking forward to your reply!

Thank you for creating the staging site.

I can't see any performance issue on the staging site. I recorded a video for you showing the steps that I followed: hidden link

Hi there,

Our 2nd-tier specialists found that the issue is the DOM. They suggest a proper caching plugin that utilizes object cache and CSS/JS minification or concatenation.

Hello,

I already use WP Rocket and this is not about the Cache plugin and i use Css/JS minification option.

As clearly seen in the video in my previous reply, the difference between when WPML plugins are active and when they are deactivated is 10 seconds.

Did I use a cache plugin when WPML was deactivated? No. It's clearly not a cache issue; it's entirely WPML-related. Furthermore, the cache plugin is inactive in the admin panel and doesn't apply to admin users; it only applies to the frontend of the site.

Why are you responding so incompetently, even though you know all this, instead of resolving the issue? Do I have to show you every detail with a video? Your technical team has encountered these issues many times, and I've seen it in your forums.

Do you plan to offer me a viable solution?

Hello,

Here is a message from our 2nd tier of support:

Every caching plugin can enable cache for logged-in users. I am not familiar with WP Rocket settings, but I believe it is also capable of that.
From the WPML standpoint, the only weird thing that I can see is that the Post CPT is set to "Don't translate", but this should not affect the speed for posts.
From all over the site, the PHP loads for a normal time, 1-2 seconds. The other load times are third-party resources, mostly from the JS_COMPOSER plugin, which cause the content to be blocked.
These are JavaScript and CSS resources, so probably, if minified and cached, it will speed things up.

Hello,

We have minified all js and css source.

We also did band and we have tuned the litespeed as well. But its all due to WPML plugin it loads slow. Because render takes time.

You still don’t accept your plugin’s issue. Its strongly make slow the websites. Do you have solution for this or not?
