About PlusLingua

PlusLingua is a translation provider based in Germany and Spain. The main focus is on technical translations, marketing, and business translations, interpreting. PlusLingua’s sister companies IDEM Doku and PlusDocu complete the portfolio as specialists for technical writing.

Getting started with PlusLingua and WPML

To send content for translation to PlusLingua, install the following plugins on your website:

  • WPML Multilingual CMS – the core plugin
  • WPML String Translation – this plugin will allow you to translate interface strings

You can download them from your wpml.org account. If you do not have an account yet, you can create a new one by choosing WPML Multilingual CMS or Multilingual Agency plans.

Working with PlusLingua via WPML

Here are the basic steps of working with WPML and PlusLingua. For a full walkthrough, check out our page about using WPML with a translation service.

Connecting Your Website to PlusLingua

First, you need to connect WPML with PlusLingua. Part of this very simple process is to request your PlusLingua API token.

Once PlusLingua receives the notification about your Token request, an account manager will contact you and generate your token.

Sending content for translation

Once your site is connected to PlusLingua, you can start sending your content for translation.

Receive a quotation from PlusLingua

Once PlusLingua receives the content you sent, its quotation department will prepare the quote. Once you accept the quote, a project manager is assigned and the project starts.

Receiving completed translations

Once done, your site is ready to receive completed translations.

Canceling translation jobs

Simply contact your project manager to request to cancel the job on PlusLingua’s side.

Translating the Rest of Your Site

Once you’re done translating the content of your page, there could be untranslated texts in menus, sidebars, and similar places. No problem, you can use PlusLingua to translate the rest of your site.
