Hi! I'm reaching out because I think I've discovered a weird glitch with Web Stories and the dual language site. I got an email from Google Search Console about an error with a link. When I checked, it's a Web Stories link that supposedly was published on the Spanish site. The issue is we have only been publishing English Web Stories because I don't know how to make the Web Stories work for the Spanish site using WPML (not even sure if it can be done since I haven't done the research yet to figure it out). However, when I reviewed the link for the actual Web Story, it shows as this: hidden link So, I'm a bit confused as to how Google is picking it up as being a link from the micocinadominicana.com site. I went on to check GSC and found there are Web Stories being published on micocicnadominicana.com according to the Search Console. But they are the English Web Stories! However, on the WP dashboard, those same Web Stories have a URL from mydominicankitchen.com. I am very confused and can't figure out how this is happening. Is there any way you are able to help with this? |

Hello I see that you have set your post type "web-story" as non-translatable. This means that you will **not** have a different version of the post type in your 2nd domain. All language versions of your website will see the same single post type....in whatever language it was created in. Technically, this implies that the rewrite rules will use the same post type slug with a different URL domain when it is accessd in the 2nd language version of your site. This is what you are seeing. If you do NOT want your EN web-story to appear in the ES (Spanish) domain, you should do the following: - set the "web-story" post type to "Translatable" This will make the EN stories only appear in English and only in the English version of your website. Have I been able to explain what you are experiencing and what your options are? |

Ah! I see. We will set the web-story post type to "Translatable" and hopefully that stops it from being published on the ES domain. Is there a way to update this on past Web Stories so that they no longer appear in the Spanish domain? |
