If you\u2019ve been experiencing issues when translating with the Advanced Translation Editor, we suggest that you update to this beta version on a test or development site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image tb-image tb-image-dynamic tb-image-frame-none\" data-toolset-blocks-image=\"602aa32d5eef92bf5751c52979e86e15\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/wpml.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/twitter-21.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanks to your <a href=\"https:\/\/wpml.org\/announcements\/2022\/07\/upcoming-improvements-to-wpmls-advanced-translation-editor\/\">helpful feedback<\/a>, we have identified several issues regarding the Advanced Translation Editor. In an effort to address these problems for affected clients as soon as possible, we have now made these fixes available in a beta version. If all goes smoothly and we don\u2019t uncover any other issues, the full production version is planned to be released in early September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What\u2019s Included in This Release<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The following issues have been addressed in this latest beta release:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Translations get stuck and the troubleshooting logs state, \u201cStarted attempt to download XLIFF file. The process did not finish,\u201d and, \u201cThe uploaded XLIFF file doesn&#8217;t belong to this system.\u201d<\/li><li>New translation jobs are created whenever you open a completed translation job in the Advanced Translation Editor<\/li><li>Translation jobs open in the WordPress native editor when they should open in the Advanced Translation Editor<\/li><li>Translation jobs are created with invalid job ID<\/li><li>Translation jobs are stuck in <strong>Pending Review<\/strong> status<\/li><li>When using Translate Everything with a lot of attachments, the Translation Management Dashboard gets stuck on <strong>Calculating\u2026<\/strong><\/li><li>You get an error message, <strong>WPML didn&#8217;t manage to translate<\/strong>, when the user doesn&#8217;t have a valid username and email in their profile (however, we are still working on a similar issue when the user is a site admin)<\/li><li>After site migration or changing the site URL, the <a href=\"https:\/\/wpml.org\/documentation\/translating-your-contents\/advanced-translation-editor\/using-advanced-translation-editor-when-you-move-or-use-a-copy-of-your-site\/#:~:text=Nothing%20will%20change%20on%20your,to%20update%20your%20site%20key.\">site action notice<\/a> doesn\u2019t appear.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>See our <a href=\"https:\/\/wpml.org\/download\/wpml-multilingual-cms\/?section=changelog\">full changelog<\/a> for all the bug fixes included in this release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you experience any of these issues, please try updating to this beta version, and let us know if your issue is resolved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Update to a WPML Beta Version<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>We recommend only installing beta versions on a test or development site, never on a live production site.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On your site, go to <strong>Plugins<\/strong> \u2192 <strong>Add New<\/strong> and click the <strong>Commercial<\/strong> tab. Choose the <strong>Beta<\/strong> updates channel.
