Background of the issue:
I am experiencing issues with WPML on my websites homeofdulce.com and inclusionincanadiansports.ca. Every time I update translations, areas that were previously translated appear blank or show the untranslated copy. The website displays correctly, but if I don't re-include the translations, it won't show as 100% translated. This issue has been ongoing for months, even before WordPress 6.7, but has worsened recently.

Symptoms:
Pages with translations already included and 100% keep showing no translations on the WPML interface.
With the recent update, as you can see on the images attached, the top image isn't shown because the translation isn't finished (?) but it shows all the translated copy. I know this because I just fixed another page and the images were only shown after re-including all translated copy.

Questions:
Why do previously translated areas appear blank or untranslated after updates?
How can I ensure translations remain 100% after updates?

Hello,

this should not happen if you have already translated this page 100% inside WPML ATE editor.

Can you please explain further: "Every time I update translations, areas that were previously translated appear blank or show the untranslated copy?"

What steps do you do to update translations and when they appear blank? If you can reproduce this issue, please record a video of the steps so I can understand better, if you are doing so manually or via WPML editor.

I have just checked your website translation memory from our side, and it has only 61 words, I have also checked if there where previous jobs for hidden link, and seems there are none, which means this pages was not translated before with ATE editor. This means you need to translate pages in ATE 100% and continue to later update / re-translate in same way and it will work just fine.

Drazen

Hi Drazen, thanks for the reply.
All the pages have translations and I included them myself.

1. I go to the original page, in Portuguese, and make the changes.
2. Then I click the translation icon in wordpress -> pages -> mypage to update the translation for the area I changed/added.
3. The whole translation area is blank. But you can see the page in English exists.

Please, check the page hidden link
Also check the attached image showing the translation isn't placed in the translation boxes.
It should be there. And I have this problem with both websites I use WMPL on.
It wasn't like that, it started some while ago and it's worse now.

Thanks.

Hello,

thanks for getting back.

I understand the issue, just one more thing to confirm before we proceed forward.

Previously you have added translation via WPML ATE editor, correct? Not maybe manually in 2nd language or using WPML Classic translation editor?

Regards,
Drazen

HI Drazen,

I added all manually, through the interface shown attached.
For both websites.
Thanks.
