Background of the issue:
I have the latest version of the WPML String Translation plugin installed. When I activate it, I see that it tries to load a script that doesn't exist at the specified URL, causing a slight load on the website. I was attempting to activate the plugin when the issue occurred. Screenshot: hidden link. The issue can be seen on this page: hidden link

Symptoms:
The plugin tries to load a non-existent script, causing a slight load on the website.

Questions:
What might be causing the plugin to load a non-existent script?
How can I prevent this script from loading?

Thank you for reaching out to WPML support. While you wait for one of my colleagues to assist you further, let me see if I can help you with this issue.

Please backup before you continue.

1) I suggest testing this with WP default theme and only with WPML plugins active all others disabled, to confirm the issue is not being caused by any other code/plugin.

2) Redownload the latest version here https://wpml.org/account/downloads/ and reupload the plugin.

Let us know if this helps.
