Overview of the issue

In LearnPress plugin, certain strings, particularly those originating from JavaScript files, are not being translated on the frontend, despite being translated in String Translation. These is particularly the case for those strings in Quizzes.
This is a current known WPML limitation as explained here.

Workaround

Please, make sure of having a full backup of your site before proceeding.

  • Open the LearnPress .pot file …/wp-content/plugins/learnpress/languages/learnpress.pot.
  • Add the string you want to translate. For example, for “Time Spent”:
    #: assets/js/dist/frontend/quiz.min.js:1549
    msgid "Time spent"
    msgstr ""

  • Use a tool like Loco Translate to search for and translate the string
