[Решено] ACF fields cannot be translated

Background of the issue:
I am trying to translate ACF fields. See https://wpml.org/forums/topic/acf-fields-cannot-be-translated-2/#post-16094139. The support team replicated the issue on their dev site and escalated it to 2nd Tier Support, but I haven't received any feedback and the topic is now closed.

Symptoms:
ACF fields cannot be translated.

Why can't ACF fields be translated?
What is the status of the investigation by the 2nd Tier Support?
