Background of the issue:
I am trying to translate WooCommerce variations on our website, which has 3 variable products. We have several custom fields for variations defined by code. When updating products, the values of those fields are only copied to the translation of one product, not the other two.

Symptoms:
When I try to insert the field values directly into the translation, all variations disappear from the product.

Questions:
Why are the custom field values not copying to all product translations?
Why do all variations disappear when inserting field values directly into the translation?
