Background of the issue:
I have problems translating email booking confirmations using WPML. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. In the default language, I do not have problems. For example, the dashboard in other languages shows 'page not found' for the bookings and my account links. Also, I can't translate the email for new users. The default language is Italian, but in the string, it gives me English with Italian text.

Symptoms:
Email booking confirmations and new user emails are not translating consistently. Dashboard links in other languages show 'page not found'.
