Background of the issue:
My default language is Spanish. Now the SEO people are asking to change the x-href language and establish English as the main language so that outside of the languages we have (Spanish, English, French, Italian, German, and Portuguese) the visitors will land on the English version. The problem is that we don't want to change the URLs of the Spanish version, that is we do not want to use the 'Use directory for default language' option as we do not want the Spanish version to have /es/ added. So, the Spanish version should maintain its URLs as they are now, but the x-href value should go to English.
