Background of the issue:
In the child theme I am developing, I have some WYSIWYG fields in the customizer which allow users to add introductory text on archive pages, etc. In order to translate this, the user needs to find the string in String Translation and then edit the HTML that has been output by the WYSIWYG editor. This isn't a great experience, especially for those unfamiliar with HTML.

Symptoms:
The current process for translating WYSIWYG fields in the customizer is cumbersome and not user-friendly, especially for those unfamiliar with HTML.

Questions:
What is the best way to make these fields in the Customizer translatable?
Is there an easier way to provide users with a simple, consistent interface for all translations?
