Background of the issue:
I'm trying to solve the many 'open_basedir restriction in effect' errors I have in my debug log, like:

PHP Warning: file_exists(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File(WP Endpoints-en_US.mo) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/) in /home/www/wp-content/plugins/wpml-string-translation/classes/MO/Hooks/LoadTranslationFile.php on line 82

PHP Warning: file_exists(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File(WP Endpoints-en_US.l10n.php) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/) in /home/www/wp-content/plugins/wpml-string-translation/classes/MO/Hooks/LoadTranslationFile.php on line 85
