Background of the issue:
About a month ago we translated 31 pages with automated translation using about 60k credits, did a quick review and published them. This process worked perfectly well and pages are live and ready for review in English and Dutch with all expected translations.
Now we are doing a more thorough review of each page and wish to proofread them a bit more. We opened a page and clicked on "Edit Translations" for this page: 隐藏链接 (one example of many).
Symptoms:
I expected my page to be 100% translated, but instead, I got 57% translations (see screenshot). Nothing was changed - no WP/plugin updates, no changes to the page (last edit 3 months ago). This is happening to most of the 30 pages - some are 95% and others are only 45% done.
I am worried that this looks similar to https://wpml.org/forums/topic/sometimes-my-translations-are-lost/.
Questions:
I tried clearing all troubleshooting things (cache, etc) to no avail. Do you have any idea why this could be happening? Essentially, we are having 30k worth of translations being completely unusable as they are published on a page but not available for any editing. Instead, the editor prompts us to buy some more credits which does not seem very fair...
