Getting started with K&J Translations and WPML

To send content for translation to K&J Translations, install the following plugins on your website:

  • WPML Multilingual CMS – the core plugin
  • WPML String Translation – this plugin will allow you to translate interface strings

You can download them from your wpml.org account. If you do not have an account yet, you can create a new one by choosing WPML Multilingual CMS or Multilingual Agency plans.

Working with K&J Translations via WPML

Here are the basic steps of working with WPML and K&J Translations. For a full walkthrough, check out our page about using WPML with a translation service.

Connecting Your Website to K&J Translations

First, you need to connect WPML with K&J Translations. Part of this very simple process is to request your K&J API token.

To get your API Token, simply visit K&J Translations’ site and click the Get your token now button.

Fill up the form and you will shortly receive an email with your API Token information.

Sending content for translation

Once your site is connected to K&J Translations, you can start sending your content for translation.

Receive a quotation from K&J Translations

After explaining you the entire translation process, K&J will review the text you sent and prepare a quote (price offer). Once the price is confirmed, translations will get started.

Receiving completed translations

Once done, K&J will upload the translations into the system and send you an e-mail confirming that the translations are completed and uploaded.

Canceling translation jobs

To cancel a project in WPML, you need to email K&J to info@kjtranslations.com requesting the cancelation of your project or specific jobs.

Translating the Rest of Your Site

Once you’re done translating the content of your page, there could be untranslated texts in menus, sidebars, and similar places. No problem, you can use K&J Translations to translate the rest of your site.
