Background of the issue:
I am trying to remove the WPML icon in the top menu bar of wp-admin. It does nothing anyway. Link to a page where the issue can be seen: الرابط المخفي

Symptoms:
I expected to see no WPML icon in the top menu. There hasn't been one until the latest update. Instead, I got an unwanted icon that doesn't do anything. It also takes a few seconds longer to load than the rest of the icons in the top bar.

Questions:
How can I remove the WPML icon from the top menu in wp-admin?
Why is the WPML icon appearing after the latest update?
