Background of the issue:
I am trying to set 'Home FR', the translated version of 'Home', as the homepage for the French navigation on my website. I initially configured Spanish as the primary language and set 'Home' as the homepage. I have translated all pages to French and accessed 'Settings' / 'Reading', changed the language to 'French', and set 'Home FR' as the homepage. The issue can be seen at الرابط المخفي.
Symptoms:
When I reload the configuration page, the dropdown does not retain the option I selected and reverts to 'Select'. Instead of seeing the translated content at الرابط المخفي, I am redirected to الرابط المخفي.

Why does the homepage setting revert to 'Select' after I reload the page?
How can I ensure 'Home FR' is set as the homepage for the French navigation?
