Background of the issue:
I am trying to substitute an original language PDF file with another one in a secondary language using WPML. The website has a button to download a PDF file in Italian, and I have linked different files for the German and French languages in the plugin.

Symptoms:
When I download the PDF from the website, I still get the original Italian version instead of the German or French versions.

Questions:
Why am I still downloading the original Italian PDF instead of the German or French versions?
